Excellent sub shop. Friendly service prompted by an inviting "Welcome to the Firehouse" when you walk in. Typical sandwich shop vibes with fire station decor. Ordered: - club on a sub (4.25/5): GET THIS! Love this sandwich. It's essentially a Hook 'n Ladder with bacon added. Get it with all the toppings. Steamed sandwich meat and warmed bread combined with the chilled fresh ingredients and condiments really hit.

Nice surprise out in West County. I was looking for something different and this had opened recently. It was a odd time of the day so I didn't expect a crowd. There were a few folks in eating. The place was bright and spotless. I was greeted right away. I asked the sandwich chef what to try in order to have a good first opinion. I ordered a Smokehouse Beef and Cheddar Brisket. Made it a combo with Sun Chips and a drink. The drink machine was interesting. Only one spot to get drinks and ice. The touch screen allowed me to choose whatever flavors I wanted and how much of each. The sandwich was brought out to my table rather quick. And it was good. I had to take smaller bites in order to make the sandwich last. It wasn't as filling as a Subway or Quiznos but then again the bread wasn't the star of this sandwich - the cheese and brisket was. When I was done and went in to store for my last refill and drop off my trash one of the employees reminded me that completing a survey would get me a free 32 oz drink next time. Not a bad deal since (A) I had good things to say and (b) I knew I would be back.

I could've sworn I left a review the first time I went here but the second time was actually better…read morethan the first anyway! I ordered a matcha latte and strawberry croissant. I couldn't let my camera eat first. We actually ordered to go but there was a bit of a wait. There was I believe a mom and son in front of us who ordered drinks as well and were waiting a bit so I ate the croissant and it was delicious. Not too buttery, the cream inside was very light with a hint of sweetness which I enjoyed and the slices of strawberry balanced it all out. After I ate that, our drinks were ready to pick up. I ordered a matcha latte the first visit and wasn't too impressed. There was no sweetener added and the straws back then were paper and dissolved in my drink. I'm glad they have the plastic straws now so I could fully enjoy and the sweetener was the perfect amount. Not too sweet! I spoke with the barista asking if she enjoyed the tiramisu matcha latte and she admitted she doesn't drink matcha so she couldn't say which I appreciated her honesty instead of trying to upsell me. She was so sweet and did let me know a lot of customers do enjoy it. I'm glad I opted for the matcha again because it made me so happy with how delicious it was! (A MILLION times better than Starbucks!) Every time we go this place is so busy. There is a line but it's never too long and there's never an empty case of pastries. There's so much variety if you're feeling sweet or savory. I do want to try some of their cake sometime. Maybe next time!

We finally checked out Tous Les Jours Manchester location. Upon first glance, it's a beautiful and…read morewell-lit store. Lots of pastry options and even some savory lunch entrees + a coffee menu. Sadly, the pastries were a bit dry for my liking - the croissants had zero fluffiness and the donuts had a weird texture - almost like a fried Oreo. My Tiramisu Latte was decent but 90% milk and 10% coffee. The Strawberry Cloud Cake was delicious though - very light and fresh. Overall, cute spot with beautiful yet questionable pastries. Would we return? We probably would. Because it's 6 minutes from our house, we have no reason not to give it a second chance.
