I live nearby so I come here 2-3 times per week. Sometimes we're just coffee and other times for a salad or sandwich. I have consistently good experiences. If you have a chance to have Denise or Leona serve you, you would doubly enjoy your visit. I understand when people have a bad experience, they will post a complaint in the reviews. But there should be more positive reviews for all the great experiences that people have, but don't take the time to post a review. The reviews that are over a few years old should be ignored. This place is clean, has a lot of sunlight shining through and is a comfortable and relaxing place to meet with friends for a meal or just a drink. I can't speak to the drive-through where I've read where people have had a long wait on occasion, but hey people, you can always get out of your car and go in the restaurant. If you see that the workers are overwhelmed and you are in a hurry, do like you would at any other place go somewhere else on occasion. read more

Good place to go have a soup and a sandwich and visit with a friend. We hadn't had Panera in a cpl years and decided to try them again (for lunch delivery). We were pleasantly surprised bc it was truly really good. It arrived hot and all in tact. The quality was spot on! I ord the Frontega Chicken Sand and a bowl of Chicken and Wild Rice Soup & he ordered an Italian Sand and a bowl of Broccoli Cheddar Soup (his favorite!). I haven't been to this particular Panera in a while because! When it first opened, the customer service was horrible... orders took FOREVER, like unbelievably LONG. I decided to give it another try... I ordered a pick two with a chicken noodle soup with a side of bread and a bacon Turkey bravo minus the cheese and tomato. I thought this sandwich used to come with avocado back in the day, but I guess I am wrong. I also ordered my husband some food... a salad and a hot sandwich. I didn't wait very long in line- surprisingly! There were about 4 or 5 cars ahead of me and with my experience, previously, I was worried...but, all was well with customer service! Now, the bacon Turkey bravo I had I was disappointed with. I could have sworn that sandwich didn't used to come on rye bread.... Whatever this bread was it was not the simple... white baguette or sandwich bread I wanted it on. I feel like they need to add confirming what type of bread you would like for your sandwiches. I really wish this place could lose the older, legacy reviews as it is more or less a new business in a new place. This was the most frustrating experience at Panera. This location is often sold out of things we want but today was worse than usual. We waited almost an hour for our to go order. We had other food from another nearby restaurant in the car that was getting cold so we actually left and went home and ate that and drove back to Panera to get our kids food and it STILL wasn't ready. I heard a manager warning customers coming in that it could be a twenty minute wait. They should have been honest so we could have gone somewhere else. I'm also not someone to ask for freebies but I was surprised they didn't at least offer a free drink or something to all the people standing there waiting. Love the atmosphere of this inside! It is bright and clean looking! The patio is also nice! All of the bench spots have charging ports that make it great to come and work at. We are visiting St Louis and this Panera (called St Louis Bread Company in this area) was close to where we are staying. The other options for breakfast were closed or far away. I was really hesitant to visit this restaurant because I saw that it had a cumulative 2-star review. I figured "that many people can't be wrong" ... well, that many people were wrong. This is absolutely a 5-star Panera and 5-star restaurant. We placed the order using the app for in-store pickup. When I got to the store, I was really impressed by how nice and new it is. It looks like a new remodel, but maybe it's just kept really clean. There were lots of friendly customers and friendly employees. The food we ordered with the app was available in under 10 minutes, and ready when I arrived. The seating area is much more spacious than some of the other Panera's I've seen. Panera can be tasty and fun, but sometimes the quality of the food (and the service) can be fairly bad. This evening the issue was the teriyaki chicken bowls. We ordered two of these, and the sauce, rice, quinoa, and broccoli in the bowl actually were fairly tasty. The bowl itself is sturdy paper rather than plastic. Hence, 2.5 stars. But that chicken? WAS it chicken??? Boooooooo! Hiss! That cheap, fatty mess hacked and crumbled into curds, resembling something picked up from out on the highway. not sure why I even bother going here. for years the service at this place is lacking and the parent company should be ashamed to let this location represent their brand a couple of months ago I thought I would be better if I ordered online and when in the store to pick up reducing the confusion at this troubled location and they could work at their unhurried pace. a couple of bagels, sliced in half, and one cinnamon roll. order online, get the email the order is ready, go in the door, typical for the location prior to 8am several workers are talking while one person does the work, wait on line, get to my turn, no one can find the order. I show them the email, "ohh, the kitchen staff marked the order completed for the bakery and did not tell the bakery about the order." So I wait and explain the order 3 more times before it is fulfilled. today 21 March 2021 I decided to try again, this time no online order so there is not the bakery / kitchen mistake to trip them up. I watch 4 workers stand around talking, one worker is taking care of the couple in front of me. after waiting on line for nearly 12 mins the couple if front of my has their bagel and 4 butters. Finally my chance to order. 4 cinnamon rolls, "we only have two." makes sense it is 7:52am on a Sunday morning why would you have more than 2 cinnamon rolls in the entire store. me simply: "good bye and have a nice day." Never again I will enter this location and I certainly will not travel to another. I'm sure the business will be fine without me and my money. read more

Ordered a little breakfast, sent teenage to pick up. Got home with 99% correct order... forgot my decaf black coffee... called, they said it was no big deal... sent teenager back, arrived home with a large coffee.. that was literally half cream and clearly meant for someone else... and clearly NOT decaf (if you drink decaf you recognize the taste). This location has steadily continued to slip in quality and customer service over recent years. I have written multiple reviews on its lack of cleanliness (Pre-covid) its gross bathrooms and its employees who stand around on their phones rather than assisting customers. I will not be returning to this location again. I advise you to do the same. I have spoken to managers, I have emailed back and forth with corporate... its just a bad location... My husband just brought me a sandwich for lunch. Ordered tuna salad with lettuce only. All I got was lettuce on bread. No tuna. Not even a pickle. This location is always a nightmare. If you order food here, you need to open the bag, examine all the contents, UNWRAP your sandwich. Only then should you bring your order home. The other time I ate here (indoors), the cashier could not explain how the pick 2 menu worked. I would've left but I didn't have time to go to another location without missing a meeting. Thought it was a one-time fluke, but apparently it was not. I'll never go back to this location. (This was formerly the location for a Steak and Shake that was notorious for getting drive-thru orders wrong 100% of the time...and so the legacy continues, I guess.) If you are craving Panera, I suggest you go to the location at Clayton Rd and 141 instead. They haven't messed up an order YET. read more

We always love Panera but what a bummer today. 2 stars is very generous. Order was taken quickly, but when I got to the window, I paid and was directed to park in a spot to wait. Food came out fairly quickly, but my side was missing/marked wrong on the receipt as no side (when I asked for bread) and I couldn't flag down an employee to correct it so I left without. The squash soup was missing the seed toppings. The frontega chicken is now deli sliced chicken vs shredded chicken pieces, very small portioned, no greens/basil or cheese. Not very well put together, almost seems like it was a pre made sandwich just heated up. For $12, I expected more quality and effort. read more

By friend and I often went to the "Breadco" just east of this new location pre-Covid. We were pleased to be able to finally go back this week and knew they had moved. PROS: ** Finding it is easier than the old location ** Parking is easier ** Food is OK CONS: ** A single big dining room with not a soft surface anywhere so It's VERY noisy when it's busy ** With masks, plexiglass shields and the noise, ordering was MUCH more difficult ** It's so much smaller! so seating is much closer together and no more booths (bummer!) Finding a spot for a *quiet* meal and a leisurely chat is unlikely. ** Because tables are closer together, there is much bumping the into or from person in the chair behind you or listening to their conversations. ** It was COLD! There is an entrance AND an exit door in a very small dining area (and only the entrance has a vestibule) so lots of opportunity for cold January air to roll in on people sitting at tables that are right next to the doors. read more

I just left this location at 5 pm. Restaurant was pretty much empty except for a manager and two employees talking at the register. I entered, no greeting. I walked up to the register, I was ignored. I stood there, they kept talking. Finally, one of the employees must have seen my horrified face and decided to step to a register and say, " I can help you." Takes a minimum of at least 15-20 minutes in the drive thru to get anything, let alone food for more than one person. Doesn't matter if you're the only one in line or not. Constantly out of ingredients and skimp hard on the meat, especially on the full size sandwiches. Service is friendly, just really, really slow. So, so slow.
