Yesterday was my first experience at a Panera Bread but because the food was great, the service was good, and I enjoyed the environment I decided to go back today. Like yesterday the food and service were wonderful. However, they don't get that 5th star because while I enjoy the freedom to speak with friends as we dine, I also feel that there needs to be perimeters set so that all patrons enjoy their time there. Children were running back and forth practically yelling. Adults were talking with their voices raised. I just could not take it. Especially considering the fact that I was trying to do homework or work in general, as was many other people. Panera, do me a favor and add a courtesy clause. Put a sign up at the window, something! This is my favorite place for free wi-fi in the Tucker, Northlake area. The food is good, but it's not really why i come here. I love that you refill your own coffee, you can use the same cup for sodas, which you can refill yourself also. It's also fun cause when you start visiting regularly, you notice the same people. Like there's the mad scientist type guy, with balding grey hair and glasses. I have tried several times over and over and over to give this location a fair chance - even when fully staffed they are Super Slow and you can hear employees complain as you're standing there patiently and not Bothering or rushing them to make food. Over 30 - 40 minutes for an order everyday single day. They also on most days put bags of food on the counter and don't call out the names so everyone has to walk up and touch the bags to see if it theirs or not. If you're in crunch for time or super hungry don't even bother. And yes even if all you order is a simple cup of soup the wait is long. read more

I am always favorably disposed toward Panera franchises. Their food is consistently edible (I'd go so far to say 'delicious', but I realize I have uncultured taste) and reasonably priced. Their restaurants are cozily furnished and the atmosphere predictably chill. Panera does its thing and it generally does it well. But lordy, lordy, you've got to check out the size of the Panera. It is the most spacious one I have ever seen. Okay, there might not be as many electrical outlets as one might like (especially in the booth area), but if one comes prepared, one can camp out for a long time and get some serious schoolin' or werkin' done, which is what I and many other folks were doing. Or Bible studyin' or SAHM meetin', you know, whatever. It's the suburbs. It sounds crazy to recommend going almost OTP for a coffee shop if one lives in Decatur, as I do, but this place really is that great. This location also has great opening hours: 6 am on weekdays, 6:30 am on Saturdays, 7 am on Sundays. This came in handy for me once during a long Saturday morning marathon training run when I needed to go to the bathroom super bad. There aren't any gas stations or even bushes near this stretch of Henderson Mill, Briarcliff, and Lavista, and the Panera looked pretty dark, but it was my only hope. Panera Bread became one of my favorite places to grab lunch with my mother. I first tried Panera back in 2016 one weekend, during a day of shopping with my mom. The atmosphere was quiet and ideal for business meetings and college students looking to study. I had the Italian sandwich and tomato soup. That was my first time trying tomato soup and theirs tasted amazing! It was thick and creamy and a good as amount of sweetness and acidity. I did not realize they closed at 7pm rather than 8pm as they do Monday-Friday. I checked out and paid at 6:53. It then told me my order will be ready at 7:20 am tomorrow. What? I wanted dinner, not tomorrow's breakfast. I immediately began calling the store to cancel but no one would pick up the phone. The next day, after sleeping later, I got up and headed to the store. Let me start... I love Panera but I HATE THIS LOCATION IN TUCKER. It always looks dirty in there. Service (meaning the food) is always subpar to even awful compared to the Druid Hills and N. Druid Hills location. Wi-fi is spotty and inconsistent. There is always some type of (food) shortage or order error when I visit. The carpets appear to be rarely swept or vacuumed. Ordered an iced coffee and breakfast sandwich. Received the rudest response when asked what the status of my sandwich was after waiting 15 minutes. The attendee at the counter where food is prepped rolled her eyes at me when I asked. Her verbal response to me was, "I made that a long time ago. I'm sick of this." I will always remember this location as the dirty Panera Bread. Not trying to be mean but several vacant tables were dirty, I had to clean my own. And so was the bathroom! This appears to be an older location but I was very surprised at Panera. Maybe they got slammed at lunch time perhaps (even though it was now 6pm). I've never seen my Vinings location that I live near look like this nor any other. However, I can say that I was greeted right away after walking in and the gentleman was nice, so that's a plus! I frequent this Panera quite a bit. I've had great experiences every time but on one Rapid-Order pick-up, they missed an entire cup of soup, and avocado on my veggie sandwich. My husband noticed the missing soup and alerted the staff. However, we only realized there was no avocado when we got home. That's super annoying because avocado is an extra +$1 surcharge. On my next visit (the next day.....it's been a tough few weeks, so little to no cooking), I brought the receipt and let them know about the avocado mishap. They offered to add avocado to my sandwich that day. I let them know that I wasn't ordering a sandwich (ordered their vegan broth bowl) so they went ahead and gave me a free pastry (which I gave to my husband because I hate pastries). I've been to many Panera locations in several different states, but these have to be the nicest and friendliest Panera employees I've ever encountered. I got here on a couple of occasions during the school year because it's just a little variety for lunches outside the norm of buford highway. What I like about this place is how accepting they are of me when I choose to make this a study spot on a wednesday or thursday evening. I'll literally be posted in one of the back tables for couple hours with a drink and occasional food to much on and they don't give me a hard time about it. Free wi-fi is here if you need it. But it's what you would expect it to be like. They have a new seasonal menu now which I do love. The clam chowder is now on the menu as a specialty soups and their new roasted turkey and cranberry panini is pretty awesome. My new favorite soup and sandwich combo there, but it does get pricy. That comes to about $10 give or take a few so if you're looking for a regular lunch spot, it can get a bit expensive. But it is what it is. read more

I went to grad school in St. Louis, home of Panera, also known as St. Louis Bread Co. I have high expectations of Panera after many, many visits to their different locations across the country. When you go into Panera, you go in with certain expectations; a high cleanliness of the establishment, excellent customer service, and delicious food served quickly. This Panera location is the worst I've been to, ever. I've gone several times as this location is closest to my home, however; every single time I've gone there's a crazy long wait during off peak hours (e.g., Thursday at 8pm, one cashier, 12 people in line), the place looks like a disaster with trash everywhere, tables not wiped down, the bakery section looks like it has been ransacked by an angry mob, and service is painfully slow. Met a friend for a late dinner on a weeknight at 8pm. We were number 11 and 12 in line, respectively. One line opened, several employees milling about with no care. I ordered a Sierra Turkey and soup and my food came within five minutes. My friend ordered a Sierra Turkey and chips and it didn't come for fifteen minutes!! Fifteen minutes at Panera for a cold sandwich? Come when you're long on patience and time. read more

I do enjoy this franchise for the most part. This location was super busy when we went. There were a few people who where staked out using the Wi-Fi which I think is incredibly rude when there isn't anyplace else to sit. Go finish your indie movie script at Starbucks like everyone else who won't pay for the internet at their house. The sandwiches we ate were typical fare from panera. Tasty but nothing over the top. This Panera bread is right up the street from my house service is usually great quick and efficient knight I ran in few minutes before closing nobody was a the counter and of course they were closing the manager instructed a young lady to take my order . She rolled her eyes huffed and puffed and came to the cash register with the nastiest Attitude u still smiled at her I gave her my order in return she asked for my name I told her she didn't need it . Came to the local Panera to get a hot tea and surf the internet just to get out of the house and be around more people that wanted to get out of the house as well. They give you a 16 oz cup and you make the tea yourself. They had a selection of tea bags on the table where they keep the coffee, creamer, sugar and other hot drink fixins. The cost was only $1.69. There was also a large selection of good looking pastries at the counter but I didn't let my temptation overcome me. In the past I've had the cinnamon crunch bagel and those things can be a little addictive. They also have a good chicken salad sandwich not the best that I've had but pretty good. As far as internet surfing goes, it's very good! Lots of seating and if you get lucky you may get a table next to an electrical outlet if you need to charge your laptop, pad, or phone because they have a few but not many spread out around the store. This may not be a good place to study because sometimes there are large groups of people gathered at the big tables having meetings or get togethers, and they can get noisy sometimes. When I was there an employee was listening to a TV show on her phone very loudly while on her break, plus the employees were louder than the customers. But if you need a good signal with lots of room, this is a good place for that. read more

This location is not on par with other Paneras. First of all, when you walk in they have only the first register open. The main menu is on the other side behind the second register, which is always closed, and you have to walk away just to read it. The cooking staff always seems confused. This is definitely a busy place on a Thursday afternoon. But my husband and I managed to snag a table close to an outlet for our study date. I ordered the toaster turkey with caramelized kale panini with strawberry chicken garden salad with poppy seed dressing and an apple on the side. For the price, I would have like to have had more meat and kale on the sandwich but what it lacked in size, it made up for in taste. It was absolutely the best sandwich I've had at Panera. The salad was great and refreshing with apples, mandarin oranges, and pecans. The best part was that it was not over dressed. There was just enough dressing to give it flavor. The staff are all very polite and welcoming. Would have given 5 stars if I had more meat on my sandwich and had not received a damaged apple. read more

I have been frequenting Panera this month thanks to great Amex Offers (500 points for spending $10) and stopped in here for lunch. I really enjoy the pick 2 - salad + soup and get broccoli cheddar and the bbq chicken salad (really good!) This location had a long line mid afternoon but it moved quickly, the wait for my food was a bit long as well. I've never seen a restaurant staffed with a lot of employees who can't handle large volumes of customers. They are consistently inconsistent. They need a new manager and/or new training.
