Way diwn the line of stores in the Shopping Center whete its only seen from Connecticut Avenue . I cam here all he time before the pandemic. But after 5 to 6 years I finally returned there . This place has a huge range on TV ads and people loved coming here . It has a huge parking area in the Shopping Center as you walk in the double glass doors cm8ng in you see a hug lobby doning area with off to the right is a huge Customer ServiceCashier Counter area . This olace has great staff but management could use sme work on service skills i recently reapplied but atill no answerto when they are hiring more cashiers , CustomerService people . I want to work hrre to make a difference in the right way to be a bridge to all walks of life and help in yhe best way i can and know how too . But if I get the jobi want to do it without being judged Harshly or with bad politics without seeing whst peple like me can do to be a great assets to the team there at this business. I loved coming hrre with my family for boxes in the lobbies for Cinnabuns , Scones or Chocolate Chunk Cookies in the display tables when walking in . At the customer service cashier barista they jabe all sorts o pastry nedss Cinnabon cookies , Scones and more . They sell things like bagels fresh breads, they even have their food menus online on Above the customer service cashier barista area . Sandwiches , Soups Salads , And so much more. During the winter times this place makes the meanest hot Chocolate youll ever have you cant get anywhere else . This place has gold wifi plugs to charge cell Phones at while sitting and enjoying the foods and drinks . They do have a self service Sodas machines . They have an somewhat open concept kitchen area where they perform their magic to make your best foods you could ever want or have that you cant find anywhere else . They have a food runner shelf fir those calling fir take outs . Through the panera bread app . They also allow activities like games family gatherings and more there . Ths olace is ine out of naby locations that are my favorites . I hope to come thrre agajn soon . They have clean bathrooms facilities too . This place has great staff there . I hooe to be ine if them in the future if they give me a chance someday . This ace comes highly recommended for this place where people love to come to . We are all at fault what happened during the pandemic and more because of the Bad examples this Goverment is leading on us we all hate . We need to keep coming here as a community to defy our corrupt government . We need to show we are the better men . This is our time to prove it . Introduction: Continuing my prior to 2018-2024 alphabet series into 2026 now. I'll get to a new 2025 alphabet series once I get done with the current alphabet series. Representing 2020 in alphabet series, P is for Panera. I'm a Sip Club subscriber and went to this Panera a fair amount in July 2020 and a few other times. July 2020 was a bad time. My girlfriend was complaining of bed bugs at my apartment. We stayed at a couple of places with a couple of friends who could accommodate. One friend let us stay at her place in Aspen Hill as she lived with her boyfriend, and we were there for maybe a week & half, and we broke up during that time period. Panera Experience: It was dumb, but the friend wasn't able to get the wifi code for us, so I wasn't able to work from home. We arrived at her place on the afternoon of Monday, 7/20. On the morning of Wednesday, 7/22, I woke up without the alarm, and it was bright outside, and I felt like I got some good sleep & refreshed. But I looked at my phone and panicked when I realized, it was already 9:30 AM and my alarm didn't go off for whatever reason. I frantically got dressed and rushed to Panera and wifi there at like 9:40. I had originally planned on going to my office, but it was so late at that point. I wifi at Panera the entire rest of the day. I bought a Panera bagel for breakfast, and then they got my business again for lunch as I may have gotten a Pick Two of salad & soup. I feel like I got a soup even though it was hot in upper 90's for highs that day, but it was a little bit on the cool side in the Panera. I don't often get soup, but I think I probably got the chicken & WILD rice. Not sure what makes the rice so Wild, but it's good. It was pretty comfortable for wifi in there except we were doing more zoom calls with long meetings during 2020 covid time, which was inconvenient in the Panera. Thankfully, those long meetings died down by 2021. I remember someone on the call complained that it was hard to hear. There were various background noises of people & music. I wifi at this Panera on that Friday and maybe a time or two more in July 2020. My manager was annoyed with me that week as we were doing these Covid-era huddle calls at 8:15 AM on Mondays, Wednesdays, & Fridays, which I had not only missed because of the alarm not going off on Wednesday, 7/22, but also had missed on Monday, 7/20 because we had to pick up my girlfriend's car, which had gotten towed from the first friend we had stayed with, and she realized it at 12:30 AM. I emailed my team at after 2 AM saying about the car tow and not going to be up at 8:15 for huddle call. Didn't get to bed until almost 3 AM. Why 3-stars instead of a standard 4-stars for a Panera with no complaints: Staff wasn't terribly friendly in here. During this time in Montgomery County, I think restaurants were maybe only like 25% capacity, so people were spaced far apart. The manager came around and was telling to people to put their mask on even while comfortably sitting unless they were actively eating. If people were there wifi, talking, & chilling and not currently eating. I didn't like her tone barking at people about the masks. Post 2020 experiences were mainly just getting my Sip Club drink as recently as 2024 or 2025. The entire 2020's another complaint at this location are the paper straws at the Aspen Hill location. I noticed a lot of the locations in Montgomery & PG County use the paper straws. I noticed one that was using paper in MoCo, went back to the plastic. I was pleasantly surprised. Thankfully, my local location since November 2020 living in Anne Arundel County uses plastic straws. Yeah plastic isn't so good environmentally, but recyclable and further those paper straws are terrible to drink through they fall apart. And the fact of the matter is that the plastic straw is a very small percent of the plastic of the cup itself. So really, what's the point of this war on the plastic straws? There are some paper straws that are thick & sturdy. I like those, and they are good for the environment. However, if it's a huge cost difference for Panera, just use the plastic straws. In summary, it's a mixed bag here. I'll come back if over here to get my Sip Club drink, but it's unlikely I'd be buying food here at this location. read more

It's been awhile since I've had Panera but man did I miss this place! They're extremely Covid-19 considerate and staff are still wearing masks with glass shields for ordering. There's hand sanitary stations and optional self-serve stations for those who are fully vaccinated (like for plastic utensils, coffee supplies, etc). To be honest, if you're still concerned about being around people, I would not recommend going here solely because it can get super crowded during the lunch hours of 11 am - 2 pm. Even more so on the weekends all day. On their menu, I'm still a big fan of most of their smoothies. Anything strawberry is really my go to but be careful because the calories do add up. I tend to also choose the pick-two for my favorite turkey bacon bravo sandwich (ask for a pickle on the side) and their updated version of the chipotle southwest salad. Made a mobile order on late Sunday morning. Went inside the store after 10 minutes as the app said ready for pickup, but the order was not on the Rapid Pickup shelves. Checked again after 5 more minutes, the pecan bread was there but the cup for hot teas was not. Had to wait to talk to staff for one. Yes, it was very busy and more than half of indoor tables were occupied. They do have a few outdoor tables, but none were taken. First time here, Penera Bread at Aspen Hill, MD, everything was fine. I ordered online ahead for dine-in, they said it would be ready in 10 minutes, and they made it. Then the food all were prepared correctly and fresh. I got Bristo French Onion Soup with Chipotle Chicken Avocado Meal and Broccoli Cheddar Soup with Toasted Steak & White Cheddar, they were tasty and enough portion for two people. There was no one in line despite how busy the inside was with nearly all tables and booths taken. I ordered a half-soup-half-sandwich pick-two combo: the new Tuscan chicken sandwich and the tomato basil soup. The sandwich was well assembled with deliciously seasoned chicken, tomatoes, cheese, and fresh arugula. Plenty of flavor, not spicy, and a good portion! If you want to stay safe from COVID avoid ordering coffee at this location! ALL STAFF and CUSTOMERS touch the coffee area! I have gone to this Panera Bread for about 15 years (8th grade inauguration ). It's always good in a pinch, and my baby sister even worked here for a spell before college. Service is pretty basic, not bad but not amazing. I find the employees to be a bit unenthusiastic. However, some of the customers in here have been super obnoxious about their bagels and salads ‍. It's always pretty busy, and I think it's fine in a hurry or for a quick bite. I much prefer the one on Tech Road. Note to management: sometimes, it doesn't feel very clean in here. I was very disappointed today with this Panera bread location. I used rapid pickup. Despite the fact that I included the allergens and ordered one of the Greek salads to have no feta cheese, it still had feta cheese. Both Greek salads were not complete and the chicken was half done. Thankfully, I was able to cook the half raw meat at home. The chicken in the baja bowl looked and felt old. I usually don't have issues with the food preparation at this location, but whoever they had preparing the food needs to pay attention to the customized instructions, they need better training on how to cook meats properly, and training on allergy safety procedures because they can seriously make some people sick. read more

I will give a three star review because Panera is one of the few places you can go for fairly healthy food but it is always sad to go to Panera. Used to go all the time. The food is still pretty good. And some of the service is still good. Some of it indifferent. I know many of the jobs are boring, repetitive and stressful and even in Montgomery County, underpayed. But on the whole it always fails to meet my expectations. The tables are often dirty and the bussing station is usually overflowing with returned plates and spilled food leftovers. Trash protruding from the trash cans. Today at the Aspen Hill location was typical. After I finished eating I stopped at the register to get a pastry and some bread on my way out. I eat at Panera Bread pretty frequently (generally on Tech Rd. and downtown Silver Spring). This Aspen Hill Panera needs some help. Every time we go in there things get a little wonky. Orders are wrong, bread is wrong, sides are wrong, things to be added are left off and things to be added are forgotten. Basically, it's a quality assurance issue that is pervasive here. Last Saturday: the bread on the lobster rolls is wrong. Whole wheat bread inexplicably substituted for white on kid's PB&J. Apples requested as sides - everyone got bread. Perhaps they should do a manager swap with the Tech Road location to cross train? Just a thought. My bff and I came to this location for a late dinner. We arrived at 8:59pm, with a few customers behind us. Melissa who took our order, was a growing more and more annoyed especially when a women with her four children came. She preceded to rush us while we trying to figure what we wanted to order. The coffee drinks here are garbage. I got the Madagascar vanilla bean cold brew and it ended up being 3/4-4/5 milk and just some brown on the bottom which likely was part syrup and part coffee. Tasted like it should've been a chocolate milk. My fiancé got the Madagascar vanilla bean iced latte and it tasted like nothing but sugar. Most parts of Panera are the same across locations, but the main reason I go to Panera is to get some work done- I eat and drink and put on some headphones and get things done. This is the worst location in the area for that- parking can be tight, seating even tighter, and hard to find outlets and nice nooks to settle into. I have walked into and then immediately out of this Panera twice. If you're just there for the convenient location, this place may be it for you- but if you want somewhere relaxing with some outlets and peace, not the ideal location! read more

Last time we we were here, the person taking our order was a trainee who had to slowly hunt-and-peck to enter our order -- she was very pleasant but there were problems with the order that took some sorting out. The food (warm bowls) was good enough for us to come back today despite the errors. Today our order was taken by a young guy who took our "Pick 2" orders with much difficulty -- ai even had to pout out the sandwiches we'd ordered on the menu board because he "hadn't heard of" what we were ordering. (To his credit, he was very polite.) Even though the majority of tables were empty, there were a lot of crumbs & bits of food on the floor and we had to wipe some kindled of goop & dirt off the table we wanted. I also noticed a dirty towel stuffed under the soft drink machine. When I picked up our order, the "fresh basil" on one sandwich was literally two small specks each less than the size of a fingernail.. and the "warm bowls " were served in dishes that were cold to the touch as if they'd come out of a refrigerator. The food in the bowls was cold (not room temperature, actually *cold*) to the touch, and w he I went back to t he pickup counter I was told "They're salads, they're supposed to be cold." I showed the staffer the receipt and explained they were supposed to be WARM bowls and she was very surprised. I then had someone who seemed to be in charge of the entire back-counter area tell me that only the grains were supposed to be warm... not what we'd had just a week earlier. These aren't the first times we've had problems with ordering, quality control, or cleanliness at this location, but it's likely our last. I'll be driving an extra 10 minutes to another location from now on... and that will be happening a lot less frequently. read more
