    Abuelita Iced Coffee
    Angie B.

I believe this establishment has changed to a bakery/small grocery store named Panecito y Cafe. My daughter & I visited to grab up some pan dulce and coffee. There is a lot of options of pastries, you can grab a tray and select pan dulce or you can select pastries from behind a counter. I did both! I ordered an Abuelita iced coffee (just a note: if you are pressed for time I definitely just recommend to hold off on coffee as there was a wait time). Deliciously infused with coffee and the flavor of Abuelita hot chocolate powder, if you a fan of sweet iced coffee this is great! The pan dulce I enjoyed later with a cup of hot coffee and absolutely delicious. I had picked a few concha's and they were incredibly flavorful and delicious! Can't wait to go back!

Lots of sweet bread options, different coffee flavors and lemonades. Customer service was great. It was a bit busy. They have a sitting area inside. Bread and coffee were delicious. Some coffee options come with a free mini concha on top. They take your food and drinks to your table if you are dining in. There's also a Mexican food truck parked out front.

1st time trying out this establishment I went in for a surprise bag . I was so excited honestly to try it out .... I opened the box in the car & everything looked so yummy. But sadly I got home & all bread was stale so I just didn't eat anything. The customer service was good the gentleman working there greeted us right away . But on the other hand the lady that was there idk she seem not a ppl person she didn't eve made us feel welcome she had this face of not wanting to be there . But sadly everything look so good in the store but ‍

Cute! I think they're now a coffee and pan place only. They've changed the name to panecito y cafe. They've got a fun variety of iced coffees. In the picture is the Mazapán and the Lechera iced coffee. It comes with a concha!

I went twice to this location two days in a row because I enjoyed it so much. First with a friend and then I had to introduce it to my kids. The coffees and teas are delish and unique, as well as the smoothies and juices (I didn't try those but my kids loved them). We tried a variety of baked goods, the honeycomb bread is sooooo dang good! Filled with little pockets of cream cheese, drizzled with honey, and topped with toasted regular and black sesame seeds (I forgot to take a pic of this one, but I'll add it next time I go). We enjoyed all of the pastries we tried- not a crumb on our plates by the time we were finished! The decor is beautiful and unique. All of the employees super nice and helpful. You can ask them for descriptions or ask for a menu to see details and ingredients. They're open late too, so I think my next visit will be a GNO or a date with my hubby.

They also had free WiFi & since it's near the university, it's popping with college students working on their laptops. I absolutely love the variety of items to eat & drink! I got the Dubai chocolate, manakeesh, mint mango smoothie (seasonal for Ramadan, not a permanent item) & a Vimto refresher. I've never had Dubai chocolate before but I am STOKED I had it here for the first time. Perfect size, perfect crispy texture & powerful flavor. I love that the pistachio isn't overwhelming. The manakeesh is my all time favorite. Flatbread with white melted cheese & the perfect seasonings. It's embarrassing how quick I ate it. I can't savor it because it's THAT GOOD!! Only $3!!! The Vimto refresher is my absolute favorite new drink. It has sparkling water with berries. Chefs kiss. I know it's going to hit hard in the summer when I'm needing a cold drink. The mint mango smoothie is PHENOMENAL! The balance of mint & mango is just right. I hope they keep this item around. The service was also wonderful. Kind baristas that are knowledgeable & definitely hard workers! They are a very busy business & they handle it with ease. One thing I do not care for (but it will not affect negatively on my review) is credit card payments. Your subtotal they tell you after you order is only if you pay cash. If you pay card, it is atomically more because of credit card charges but they do not say that. It will also reflect an even higher amount on the screen because it automatically adds 20% gratuity to your credit card charge. So it goes from one price, to another, to another. I always tip but if it's not a restaurant, it will typically be 10%. Be aware of the charges when you go. I absolutely love this spot. I can't wait to try new drinks & food!

5* coffee .5* for the food…read morefound this place by total accident. I was in town for a wrestling tournament and decided to walk to the arena from my hotel. As I was walking I saw the sign for this place and was happy I did because my other coffee options were a fast food restaurant or the famous coffee chain. It was a bit confusing to locate. It was tucked away in the back of a commercial office space type building. Once inside the place was very clean and organized. Very minimalist design. I was only one of 4 total people inside. My order was taken quickly. I ordered an iced americano with a ham and cheese turnover. Coffee was on point. No notes. No complaints. The pastry however was not good. They asked me if I wanted it heated up. I said I did. I saw her put it in the microwave, and I assumed they turned it on. When I bit into it (I had already left and walked across the street) it was cold. Like cold cold. On top of that it was flavorless which made it worse. Stick to the coffee or make sure you check the temp of the food prior to leaving.

I would recommend a good cup of coffee at Beanies!

The space is actually one of their biggest strengths there's a lot of seating, plenty of room to bring your laptop and work remotely, and areas where people can gather. It's also connected to a church, so it definitely leans into that community-centered atmosphere. Unfortunately, after going back 3-4 times hoping my experience would improve, the coffee has been consistently disappointing. It tastes burnt and weak at the same time like warm water with sugar. There barely seems to be any real espresso in the drinks. On more than one occasion, I've taken several sips hoping it would get better... and ended up throwing the whole drink away because it was just that bad. That's honestly frustrating, especially when you're paying for specialty coffee. The only drink I've actually enjoyed there is the pumpkin spice latte, that one was solid.
