Saw this on tiktok and boyfriend was craving burgers so we decided to check it out. I got the single smash burger no cheese. Boyfriend got double cheeseburger and curly fries. Sadly, they were out of the s'mores burger. But the burgers really hit the spot. I'd definitely order the burger again. Wish they allowed you to get single sliders in mini ube and regular buns. My friend wanted to visit Panda Sal's, which serves ube sliders at SteelCraft Bellflower. I got the double cheese burger ($12), and we shared the panda style fries ($10) loaded with a smash burger patty. It took a little while for the staff to take our order, so a line started to form. However, I got my food in less than 15 minutes. I enjoyed the burger with its double smash patty and panda sauce. The burger felt a little nostalgic since American cheese in pandesal was a common part of breakfast. The bun didn't taste exactly like pandesal. It was sweet but not like pandesal from your average Valerio's Bakeshop. The portion size of the burger alone might not be enough, so any of the extras or other food court options can help. The panda style fries were amazing. I enjoyed the panda sauce as it provided a savory and vinegary taste similar to the marinade in Filipino barbecue skewers. This spot serving up bomb burgers with a Filipino twist. It's all about their buns. They're pandesal buns so they're fluffy with a slightly sweet and crunchy exterior. That bread really elevates everything. We tried their double smash burger which was bomb but even better with those fluffy buns. Also tried their longanisa breakfast burger and I enjoyed it more than I expected. I thought it was gonna be too salty but it was a perfect balance of flavor. i got the double smash burger. Service was fast and right away, Overall was good burger, Unless you absolutely love "glazed" grilled onions or Do not get the onions. I think they over power the flavor of the burger. First bite i was like "oh wow this is good" but by the end of the burger i was thinking "uuuugh this is too much" and very greasy i advise the onions on the side and try them first before commiting fully on your burger. i think you will enjoy the burger alot more without them personally. When we got our order they left everything on the burger, and when we tried to tell them about it, they kept dismissing us and told us it was our order. One of the restaurant choices at SteelCraft Bellflower. The staff were super friendly. We were greeted right away and asked if we had any questions about the menu. I really appreciated that since no other people greeted us when we went to their restaurant. SteelCraft has plenty of outdoor sitting options. Great place to bring the kids (so they can run around). It pains me to give Panda Sal's 3 stars. I really wanted to enjoy their smash burger. I don't know if their burger patties are always like this or if it was just a bad day. First time at the Steel Craft in Bellflower just to see what all the hype was about at Panda Sal. Great semi outdoor atmosphere with plenty of seating. They had a creative and original concept with the menu and I was very excited to taste some familiar items with a different twist. The food was ready after a few minutes. It looked good. Taste was not bad but seem to miss the mark in flavor. Pandesal buns did not remotely resemble the flavor or the texture of pandesal. Simply rolling the dough in breadcrumbs would have given a familiar texture even if it wasn't the real thing. Could have been easily achieved without much effort. Tried the longanisa but it tasted like a regular burger. There was none of the signature flavors of longanisa (garlic, vinegar, sugar or spice). Lastly, the corned beef burger was also lacking the flavor of what it was supposed to be. It was very salty and wet with unexpected heat from chili. The corned beef burger had the texture of a sloppy joes and the buns were stained orange from the grease. The eggs were fried sunny side as described.. I chose spam as the protein for the panda fries which was tasty and actually spam. Panda sauce is nothing different from any burger joint. Unfortunately, the specialty items do not live up to the clever name Panda Sal. If you're craving a smash burger. They can fill the job. read more

Location 2.5/5: the exact spot it's located in is within a steel craft, which is absolutely fine. However, there's no real designated area to wait in line. Today when I waited, the line found itself cutting through the middle of a designated eating area and also we were in the sun, so we're kind of baking. Maybe try to designate some kind of organization for a line? Hospitality 5/5: mind you this is pre-grand opening so a lot of kinks need to be worked out. With that said, someone who seemed to be the main cook, the cashier said his name is Brian, came out and addressed the line saying that they're still working out a lot of the newness (kitchen and register) of getting everything working efficiently. I appreciated the communication, he kept his composure and let us know that they're gonna get through the lunch, rush as quickly as possible. Also, in speaking with the cashier, she made good recommendations for the first timer as far as what to start out with. Price 3/5: when I saw an ad for this place on Instagram, it was compared to In-N-Out. So when it comes to pricing, I'm being very generous by giving it a three out of five. I myself only got a burger and a canned Coca-Cola, which came out to $15.99. My friend, who was with me ordered a burger and fries with a fried egg, no drink and his total was $28.99. So it is a bit pricey, compared to In-N-Out. But, I understand, it is a pop-up stand and it seems like they're just starting out. It may be wishful thinking, but hopefully they lower their prices in the future? Or at least have some kind of burger, soda, and fries combo in the future. Food 4.8/5: as far as the quality goes, I would give it a 5/5. As far as taste goes, it was wonderful! It definitely lives up to the hype! The only reason why I don't give the food a full 5/5, is because a good handful of things on the menu were not available, my friend and I really wanted to try the longanisa and fries, but they had ran out. I work nearby, and visit this place at least once a week. I've tried burgers all over LA, and this is definitely up there: it's tied for my favorite burger in LA County (the other being the Burger Planet food truck). Everything about their burger is perfect--patty is crispy, homemade bread, their cheese and onions blend perfectly with the patty. Their burger is also not too large, so don't have to worry about everything falling out the other end. Their fries are also great--pairs well with their "Panda sauce". It's rare to find a burger spot that makes both great burgers and fries. Usually it's one or the other (ie In N Out) This one does both. read more
