First, I should say that I've never had better tasting General Tso chicken anywhere, and I've eaten at a lot of Chinese restaurants. That though, unfortunately, is where the "good" ends. The one woman who I've seen there every time I've visited the restaurant, really shouldn't be customer facing, because she has the heaviest Chinese accent/dialect that I've ever heard, from any Chinese American in my entire life. Now, believe me when I say that if I were in any Chinese province, I wouldn't be able to sensibly utter a single word. Chinese (any dialect) is incredibly hard to learn, and for that matter, so is English. So to be clear, I'm not mad at the fact that it's difficult for her, but it truly does impact the ability to place an order. Now, onto the primary reason why I stopped going there: The health ratings that Yelp provides show a decline over time, and the most recent inspection results are getting concerning. To compound the situation, the kitchen area (visible behind the counter) is dimly lit, and I can't help but think it's deliberate. One one occasion, I saw the man (possibly the cook) scrubbing the wall behind and over a grill, with what looked like a driveway brush dunked in water. Water (presumably dirty and greasy) was running down the wall, and was a little too close to the grill to be what I'd consider safe. So, to conclude, the food may taste good, it's prepared pretty quickly, and the prices are fair, but from a cleanliness and safety perspective, I don't feel like taking the chance of getting sick. And, as mentioned, getting over the language barrier isn't an easy task either. Sadly, I would not recommend Panda Pavilion at this time, unless they make some changes. read more

Check it out! A Chinese restaurant in a strip mall...obviously this will be gourmet food. This place is 100% what you see is what you get. It's take out only. The prices are cheap and the portions are big. The food tastes like your typical mall Chinese food, it's greasy, if there's sauce, it's drowning in it, there's nothing spectacular or great about it. It's not BAD, but it's like comparing McDonalds to a premium kobe beef burger. If you like the kind of Chinese food you get in the mall food court, this will be a perfect place for you to get your take out. I ordered here for the first time, beef in garlic sauce with steamed rice and an order of spring rolls! However what I received was beef in garlic sauce with pork fried rice and my spring rolls had pork all throughout it! I was confused so I called back and all I did was get yelled at saying "if I don't want pork I say I don't want pork! If you don't say you don't want pork I put pork" I was so confused because any other Chinese restaurant I go to spring rolls always only come with veggies!!!! Also they didn't take accountability for their mistake or try to make the customer satisfied!! I don't eat pork that was the whole reason I ordered what I did!! Great shrimp toast. Not too shabby otherwise. However, since when is vegetable lo mein consist of just noodles and broccoli? No mushrooms, no baby corn? Pretty crappy! Yeah they throw in some shredded cabbage and carrots, but overall, it wasn't worth it. I can make better than this using ramen noodles, garlic, ginger, and store bought frozen veggies!!! Ordered from here for the first and last time. The bourbon chicken was crispy on the edges (not breaded) and the shrimp fried rice was dry and lacking in shrimp. The shrimp dumplings were mostly wrapper and not much shrimp either. Very disappointed. read more

Well the food was typical Chinese. It was a good lunch. Plenty of food for 10 bucks. There was plenty of meat and veggies and the pork fried rice was good. Lacked flavor unless it was covered in the sauce then I could taste the spice and garlic. I've had better Chinese food but for 10 bucks I'm not complaining. read more

I know plenty of people who go here religiously! They always get my order right and they're always fast to bring you your food. It's not fancy schmancy but I don't think that's what anyone is looking for out of a place in an old rundown strip mall. If you want fancy, seek fancy. If you don't care about the interior and just want some frickin Chinese food, go here! :) This is my favorite non-fancy Chinese food place. Can't say I'm a fan of this place. We've tried it several times over the years and it's just not what it was when they first opened. Seems like there's been several turnovers in ownership. Have had multiple people tell me they are not very welcoming and agree 100%. Was not greeted even after I walked in and said hello to them first. read more

they have terrible costumer service. my boyfriend placed an order online (that was almost 40$) and when he went to pick up the food they yelled at him telling him there was no order and that he was wrong. he tried showing his bank account and order confirmation, but they just shooed him away. he put in a complaint online and now won't receive his money back for another 3 days. terrible business just terrible. read more

Got takeout from here the other day, first time I've been there. The kung pao chicken was abundant and fresh-tasting, hot and sour soup was good too. There was so much food I had leftovers for lunch the next day. I will be back to try some other dishes! It's not easy to get good Chinese food around here. read more

This place has decent Chinese food, we like it more than most others in the area. My husband particularly goes there for the Singapore noodles (not my thing- but he says it's good!). One downfall is that they don't deliver, which is unusual. Another is that when you call for takeout- they will tell you one of two times. If they tell you 10 minutes, your order will be ready in 10 minutes. If they tell you 20 minutes- your order will be ready in 35-40 minutes, without fail. read more

We've ordered from here before and it was okay but last night our order was borderline awful. The beef fried rice (ordered by number) was actually chicken fried rice. Nothing fried about the rice, no egg, hard carrots, a few peas, yellow rice and I first thought the chicken was raw. I guess it was cooked, but it had a mushy consistency that was quite off-putting. The Kung Pao Chicken was very so-so, and the Crab Rangoon was very light on the filling. The one bright note was the Sesame Chicken which was very tasty though it could have used more than three small pieces of broccoli. And the guy at the front counter was just plain rude. I love this place, mostly for its homey unpretentiousness... its pretty much take out only (there are chairs and tables but no waitstaff kinda like a pizza place), and i'll be honest, it isn't the best chinese in the area, but its good, its close (for me) and there is an inconsistency to the dishes that i love, its how you know they actually make the stuff themselves. Maybe mom cooks the dish a little different than dad, maybe they have more pork bones for the broth some nights and more chicken bones others, maybe the ratio of bones to water isn't always the same... for my husband this makes him insane, but for me, i don't know why but i find it comforting. I love their wonton (mostly for the broth, which is better some nights than others) and everything is pretty standard chinese fare. I wouldn't drive miles out of my way, but if you're on the surrounding blocks, don't waste your time driving further, unless your looking for a night out of course. read more
