They seem to often be out of things here and then they have "specials" that they are also often out of which seems to indicate they are very busy usually. This place is definitely VERY popular in the area and it tends to be VERY crowded. They sometimes serve you really huge portions and other times smaller portions. I'm a big fan of Texas style BBQ which the brisket here doesn't seem to resemble the brisket I've had in Texas. I went there again on June 7, 2026 and it was awful. First, I wouldn't exactly call the place crowded and they had more than enough servers and workers present, but tables sat unbussed for far too long. The buffet was a disaster with food spilled everywhere. The price for an adult buffet was $24.99, which is ridiculous for what they offered. I went on seafood night, which just meant one buffet line had a bunch of cheap shrimp, blue crab, and fish dishes with some crawfish. No crab legs or higher end seafood anywhere. What they offered was slightly passable too. The rest of the buffet was just low-end slop and I mean that in earnest. There wasn't one dish marked so you had no idea what you eating. I asked one of the workers what one of the dishes were and she said she didn't know. The rolls and cornbread were old tasting and dry. The desserts were just one small display case with two types of cake and some cookies. All which were tasteless, dry, and food service buys. I went at the height of dinner time - a time when everything should be fresh, but it seemed more like closing time. The food was very mediocre and tasteless and kept at a slightly warm temp, not even hot. The food was so bland, I doubt they use any seasonings. They had all side dishes with only a few meats thrown in and those were pork and chicken, the inexpensive meats. (When I first went there they had pot roast, etc). Lastly, the ambience of the place was also horrible. There was so much noise coming from the kitchen area, all you kept hearing were dishes clanging and pots banging, really bad acoustics in the place. I couldn't have a nice conversation with my friends over the loud din. I hate leaving bad reviews, but this was an all around horrible experience and I don't want to see others spend $25 on a bad buffet. I don't know if this place has new owners now (I suspect it does) or what. But I will never go there again and if you want to have a good meal and not get ripped off, I urge you to look elsewhere too.

They constantly don't have most of the options prepared. They are constantly out of iced tea so when I purchase a drink and then try to get iced tea I have discovered it is empty except on one occasions out the four visits I've made here. I gave feedback to the company via their information they have on the receipt and again via their website yet I've never heard anything back. This seems like a nice spot that offers daily specials along with a set menu of options. They have a gift store in the front when you first walk inside and then the restaurant is to your left. They have a buffet of the daily specials you can choose from or you can order off the paper menu or their chalkboard menu. This seems to be quite a popular spot in the area and around lunch time it can certainly get a bit crowded from what I observed but they seem to have more than enough tables for everybody. There is a playground area for children along with an outdoor patio next to the playground for parents to keep an eye on the kids. Overall this seems like a nice spot in the area and they have a decent selection of items on their menu along with a rotating selection of daily specials along with some great items they throw out as a nice surprise randomly. I ordered their Jumbo Cheeseburger, which is two very thick patties of beef which made it a really HUGE burger. I would have been quite happy with just their regular burger with one beef patty as I wasn't expecting the beef patties to be as thick as they were and I had no idea the "jumbo" came with two patties as there wasn't much explanation of that on the menu. So I really had quite a challange getting my first bite out of this jumbo sized burger as it was so huge my jaws could barely clamp down on an edge to make a dent in this monster. I also had some trouble with my bun not withstanding all of the ingredients stuffed inside of it (onions, lettuce, tomatoes) so there were some structural failures on the bottom part of the toasted bun that cracked it in half so I had to do some rebuilding to get the burger back together again. Well much like Humpty Dumpty I wasn't able to keep the bottom part of the bun together for long but somehow I still managed to polish off the burger without too much of a mess all things considered. Now onto the fries, which seemed to be the typical crinkle cut type found in most grocery store frozen food sections, now the texture of the fries seemed a bit less crisp on the outside than I prefer and I detected not a hint of seasoning so I doused those fries with a healthy shaking of salt! Overall I enjoyed my meal and the only things they could have done better would have been to have provided a better description of the "Jumbo Cheeseburger" so I would have known what a monster it was and then they only had mustard in packets. So I'm just not a fan of restaurants having a big huge container of ketchup but then only offering tiny little teeny dainty packets of mustard! I know the majority of Americans mostly eat that disgusting Ketchup stuff but there are still a sizable number of us that are 100% on team mustard which is most certainly the superior condiment with a far longer history and distinguished existence with humanity. So if they could just give equal representation to the mustard condiment and a bit better explanation of their food items I think everything would be ship shape from my perspective. It came out in about 10 minutes (see pic). It was a nice sized amount of food that included fish, shrimp, stuffed crab, hush puppies, fries and cole slaw. It was a good meal that I enjoyed. I believe this is a good place to go for fried seafood at reasonable prices. I would like to try their BBQ sometime but I don't like ribs and that's all they serve.
