My daughter and I got really sick after ordering take out from here. Sucks, because I really liked the salt and pepper chicken.

The salt and pepper chicken party tray was so good!! The pieces are substantial and delicious!! The dining area was very clean and the food was hot and ready when I arrived to pick it up, I also ordered the chicken chow mein and the shrimp fried rice, also delicious!! Love this place the food is always great and they use fresh ingredients. I mostly come here for their lunch specials which are $4.95. I like getting the salt and pepper wings with white rice. I mix the leftover green onion and red pepper into my rice. It tastes so good way better than their fried rice. I do agree with other reviewers that when this place first opened the egg rolls tasted like something spoiled. They have since improved the recipe. The egg rolls are now ok but the fried wontons are much better and also an option with your lunch. read more

I'd actually give this place more than a three but less than a four. Their salt and pepper wings are cooked to perfection, most all other foods are above average. That actual restaurant is grody and I don't like seeing where they cook their food. Otherwise they'd get more than a four. read more

My husband is a strict vegetarian, borderline vegan so this is a great place to get our Asian food fix. They prepare tofu the way any of their chicken dishes are prepared. Our favorites are the salt and peppered fried tofu and the orange tofu. Pair it with vegetable lo-mein or seasoned fried rice with vegetable egg rolls and you have a completely satisfying dinner! I've never had the meat here but would rather not because their tofu dishes are so good. The initial look of the place is a little sketchy, but isn't some of the best food hidden in these types of places? It is hard to understand these people's English sometimes, but they are friendly and also deliver your food at a $30 minimum purchase. read more

First of all this place has some of the best salt n pepper chicken wings in SouthEast San Diego. 2nd I'm in love with their customer service! They are busy, but always smiling and cheerful. I ordered 8 large party trays for my daughters 5th Birthday party this past weekend. I place an order earlier in the week, put a deposit down and 3 of the workers, double check the time, date, and what food I ordered. The day came and I went a little early, but everything was ready to go. The lady wheeled 3 trays at a time on her cart, and even placed the food in my trunk. The trays came in these cool boxes so it was so easy to stack. They threw in a free appetizer to say thank you, for having them cater my daughters birthday party. Came here for a birthday dinner for my uncle. Very good food for a decent price. Staff was very nice and attentive no ones drink stayed empty and we were there for two hours. It seemed like a typical Chinese restaurant. The one CON I do have is the restrooms were HOT! Seemed to be no A/C in there. I read the reviews and decided to try it out since it's so close to home. I used their online ordering, which was great and real easy to do. I picked up my order and was greeted warmly by the couple running the very nice place. They even gave me a free wall calendar. I paid for my order, but failed to check it before I left. Somehow my selection of salted pepper chicken wings with white rice & teriyaki chicken with fried rice was translated to fried rice and French fries (I got the chicken too). There was no selection for French fries when I placed my order, so I'm not sure how that happened. The salted pepper wings were tasty and the teriyaki had good flavor. The fried rice was just...eh. I would have preferred the white rice I know I selected when ordering. All in all, it's a decent place to order out. They also deliver, so that is probably enough to make me order again, but I will definitely make it clear that I would like steamed and not fried rice. read more

I have ordered food from here once a week for 3 weeks. I put this place on the same level as Royal Mandarin & Golden Chopsticks except for this place tops those to me. My husband is addicted to this place, he keeps saying "Chinese food never fills me up this place does, ahhh soooo good!" So of course we keep going back. You can order online and they deliver, so that's a plus. They are super friendly and quick. The prices are excellent, quality of food is great and the portions are generous especially as all entrees come with your choice of steamed or fried rice. Cream cheese wontons we're some of the best I've ever had and they give you an even amount, six. I hate when places give you 3 which is like what? Who eats the third one when there's two of you. I hate when they give you four because it's like, you want one more just wasn't enough and there is no more. Six is the perfect amount! The orange chicken is cooked with the perfect amount of real orange zest and you can taste it, also not overly sweet. The salt & pepper chicken wings, white meat chicken & shrimp were all delightfully spicy and salty but good salty. The salt & pepper shrimp were the best I've had, nice crunch on the batter and I appreciate that they put a hole in the lid so the food wouldn't get soggy. The vegetable chow mein was nice and light not too greasy and very flavorful. They also have a good amount of vegetarian options that look good. I highly recommend trying this place, the location is weird but who cares the best food is usually in a sketchy place anyway lol. read more

It's a new place and we went for our first time last night. The restaurant is very clean and has just been painted to a nice white with blue accents. We were greeted soon as we came through the door. No one else was there so service was focused on us. I had the beef chow-mien and my wife had the kung-pow chicken. We split some egg rolls, pork egg fu-yung and egg flower soup. The kung-pow was very good but not spicy enough for me so if you order it make sure you say "extra spicy". The chow-mien was a little different than I'm use to. It had bok-choy in it and I liked it ,but I wish they would cut it up smaller and it had bean sprouts, but the sauce was great and it was very fresh. The egg fu-yung had so much sauce and vegetables on the top you couldn't see it but it tasted very good. The vegetables in the egg roll were way to big, they needed to be chopped more. The egg flower soup was very good as were the home cooked fried noodles. Service was fast, maybe a little too fast. We had no time to eat our appetizer before the main dish was served. English is a second language, so be patient and make sure your order is right. All in all we had an enjoyable time and look forward to trying some of the other dishes. The flavors reminded my father of Singapore and our favorite resturant in Alexandria VA (Peking House). We can't wait to go back, for a family sit down dinner. I had a fairly good time at Panda House, we walked in on a sunday and found ourselves to be the only people in the restaurant. They had very friendly staff and they put a lot of focus on servicing you, making sure your water is filled, enough sauce, etc. all the small things. The portions were great and it wasn't expensive at all. For the amount of food they put on our plates it was a great buy. However, this place does not get 5 stars from me because something in the food made me quite full fast. Not to mention I was starving when I walked in, I could barely eat any more after I just had gone through a quarter of the plate. Thats not like me, I eat alot! I'm not sure if they put MSG in their food and don't want to go out and say they do, but something was strange about the food filling me up very quickly. What really had me suspicious was my continuous trips to the bathroom shortly after the meal. Shortly later in my sleep I literally had to go to the bathroom 2-3 times in the middle of the night. Food tasted good and they treated us very nice but the post-meal feelings were not pleasant. I'm a big health freak on what I take in, which makes me reconsider coming again. Their food is okay but my main issue is poor customer service and poor English. I have given this place several chances and this is getting ridiculous. Previously they have given me the wrong food, let me order food then once I drive over to get it, they tell me they are out of it. They don't call. This time I ordered BBQ pork and house egg foo young. I get there and they didn't make my BBQ pork after repeating the order to me. So I have to wait for them to make. Then I get home and they forgot the fried rice (they asked me if I wanted white or fried rice with my order and I chose fried rice). I called back and all they could say is I'm sorry I left it here in the table. They just said I could drive back and get it. They don't offer anything for my trouble. This is about the third time I have had this issue by the way. I can no longer accept this as a simple oversight. This is a trend.
