Wanted some salt n pepper chicken wings to satisfy me after a long work week and didn't want to drive all the way to royal mandarin, since I live in lemon grove. I was disappointed to say the least! I love seasoning and a good crunch. I asked for extra crispy wings. Yes the crisp was on point but there was not a lick of salt or pepper no green onions or red pepper flakes. I was so sad lol I never write reviews but I said hell no that food was terrible babe I'm writing a review. Best damn Salt & Pepper Shrimp (no shell) and Salt & Pepper Pork Chops, hands down (we've tried up & down SD). Whenever we fly in from DFW, we always take a few plates/pans of each to eat at home. Reheating in Air Fryer- 4 mins at 400° tastes just like dine in. Call ahead, pickup for quickest service- never more than 10 mins & that includes up to Medium Sized catering tray. Customer service is nil, there's somewhat of a language barrier but we muddle thru just fine to get our to go plates/pans & our food is always ready super quick. read more

We experienced very friendly and efficient customer service when we picked up an order to go for my mom, who was craving hot and sour soup to help her clear out from a cold or flu. She also ordered a shrimp entree and broccoli and beef, and both my parents loved it! The large soup plus two entrees made three meals for the two of them. My wife and I also got some war won ton soup and walnut shrimp for ourselves, and the high-quality ingredients and delicious taste of the food made me wonder why it has been so long since we've been here. The soup was full of bamboo shoots, mushrooms, won tons (like dumplings), and so much more. It tasted milder than I expected, but was still delicious! We will be back soon. read more

Used to get really bomb Chinese food here but I feel like it's changed a lot. We got our usual Salt and pepper wings and calamari, chop suey, fried rice, sweet and sour pork and some other things and the wings, which I usually dog into were kind of mid. I think the one thing everyone really liked was the sweet and sour shrimp which I would definitely order again. The place definitely needs a good cleaning, and the service isn't terrible but isn't friendly which I'm fine with. Did an online order for delivery today through their website. Delivery fee of $6.98 was actually better than using any of these deliver apps. Rather pay the Delivery fee for quality & all the good was great as usual. The bagged our broccoli beef due to avoid the leakage of the sauce. Unfortunately it did leak but not all over everything else. And once place on the counter ot was all over my counter. No big deal. Everything was perfectly packaged fresh & not cold. I enjoy panda house &usually pick up but today just wasn't feeling like driving. I'm truly happy they survived the pandemic shutdown & continued to thrive. Definitely recommend to many. read more

Me and my family love this place! We've never ate at the Panda house. We always order take out, but everytime has been a hit! Today was Labor Day and me and my family came last minute from LA to SD and we tried to order from Linlee's down the street because it's a little closer to us. Linlees wanted to charge us $135 for a large tray of king pao chicken and honestly it sounded like he just made up the price from the top of his head. I'm so happy I went to Panda House. They were way cheaper and the food is fresh and so good. We ordered large trays of.... Beef lo mein 8.5/10 House fried rice 8/10 Salt and pepper pork 9/10 Bbq pork 9/10 Mongolian beef 9.5/10 Cream cheese wontons 8.5/10 Mind you, we ordered this LITERALLY LAST MINUTE & it only took them 40 min to prepare all the food for us. In LA every other restaurant would have told us that it would be impossible to fulfill this large order in a short time's notice. I can't wait to order more from here in the near future! I typed out a huge explanation and can't paste it in here. Long story short: orange shrimp is an amazing substitute for chicken. It was delicious.... Until I spotted the massive fly almost halfway through. Really sucks cuz this was my first time at this new spot and I really loved the shrimp (the rice was bland Af tho) but because of the huge fly in it I won't be coming back. There was next to no vegetables in there, maybe 3 pieces of onion so I'm not sure how they missed that. read more

The food is so awesome, but sadly I will be giving them 1 star for their customer service's. I ordered my food 2-3 hours in advance, and upon coming to pick up my order it is not ready. It's been almost an hour and I'm still waiting, the sad part about this is....... People have been waiting here before me for over 2 hours and hasn't been served. I've asked for a refund, and was also told that they have no idea how to do that. I reordered on arrival and waited another 15 minutes. I ordered shrimp and broccoli. The veggies were delicious and I really enjoyed the sauce as well. I did not like the shrimp. They were too soft.. a few mushy like mashed potatoes. The plate comes with 12- at least mine did. My husband ordered sweet and sour chicken. He had no complaints. The texture was sort of gelatinous and the soup had a strange odor to it. Almost like a barn or something. Not sure why that might be but we didn't care for it. This cozy and cute old school Chinese place packs a lot of good food and a great big menu. A very nice lady greet me at the counter and I was seated right away. The waitress was very friendly and knew the menu very well. I ordered an orange chicken dinner combo. The chicken had all white, moist meat, breaded with a light orange chicken sauce. It was like an orange flavored sweet and sour chicken, which I loved. It was cooked perfectly and came with soup, egg roll and fried shrimp. This huge meal was only about $9. What a great deal! The décor is a little dated but its part of the old school Chinese restaurant charm. It was very clean and cute. There were tons of "to go" orders at the front door. I ate it later that night, and although tasty, I was really disappointed in the ratio of veggies vs. meat. Lots and lots of green peppers and onions, but not enough meat. That's what is keeping me from giving 5 stars. All in all, food taste and quality is good. Sweet and sour chicken is swimming in sauce and the egg rolls were spring rolls with jelly like vegetables. The wings were ok not good but edible but it's hard to mess up fried wings. When I was a kid my grandmother used to bring me here. She liked this restaurant and it brings a certain amount of fond memories back for me. It hasn't changed much over the years and I'm fine with that. I've ordered takeout from here a couple times in last few months and we enjoyed it overall. I mostly like the vegetable dishes, but I had a little of one of the chicken dishes and it was good. I think we ordered spring rolls recently and they were pretty crispy and tasty as well. I probably wouldn't drive out that way just for the food, but it's a good option if I'm nearby.
