Wantes to try another Chinese food place. This was down the street from where I was staying. It's my perfect style like hole in the wall which tends to make some great food. I started with the Potstickers and Teriyaki skewers and egg roll. It was freshly cooked and the employee was very nice. 10 mins later I was at my hotel. The Potstickers were amazing!!!! They were some of the best I've had! The Teriyaki steak was very dry and not much flavor. The Eggroll was very good!! Overall i give it a 4 out of 5. When I come back I will be here again no doubt!!! I've had the shrimp with broccoli combo a few times, and is consistently pretty good. We placed a larger order recently, though, and were really disappointed with the food as 2 of the 4 dishes were not enjoyable. The beef with scallions didn't seem to have any scallions - just yellow onion - and the beef itself was an undetectable cut of odd tasting meat that mostly wound up in the garbage. It was also supposed to be "medium" spice and we all thought it was extra mild. The pineapple chicken was very saucy, but oddly bland. A little sweetness from the pineapple, but otherwise a watery, artificial tasty, unappealing sauce. The seafood delight was the dish I preferred the most as the shrimp were well cooked and the vegetables were fresh and crisp. There was a lot of what appeared to be imitation crab meat that had a starchy, noodle like texture. It was unexpected as the menu description indicates scallops, shrimp, and vegetables, but it added "volume" to the dish. Lastly, the crispy white meat chicken with broccoli was decent. It seems the star item at this restaurant is broccoli and they consistently cook it so it remains crunchy, but softened. They were also very generous with white rice as each dish came with it's own small white rice. The order was ready on time and well packaged for takeout. read more

I received an order from grubhub, 30 mins late, then open up the food and saw what I believe to be a maggot, possibly a worm? So gross. This is literally the closest Chinese place to my house. I could walk to it without considerable effort. Despite that, I never bothered to try it. I think they didn't deliver when I first moved (they do now), which was part of it, because Chinese food only gets ordered when I'm feeling particularly lazy... and then I had other menus and I forgot and then I'd drive by and say "oh, I should try them" and then I'd get sidetracked. And, recently, they put a menu in my mailbox which made it's way to my menu box. Well, fellow Yelpers, I have failed. COMPLETELY. The is, BY far, the best Chinese food I've had in the area. I simply won't order from anywhere else again (well, unless it's really late night and they're closed by the "other guy" is open.) I ordered: Vegetable Lo Mein - tasty, smokey, full of crunchy veggies. Pork Lo Mein - I didn't eat any of this, but I imagine it was on par with the veggie (-veggies add pork). Orange Flavor Chicken - expertly fried. loaded with fresh ginger and orange peel (for flavor) and broccoli (to give the illusion of healthiness where none exists) Three Delight in Garlic Sauce (chicken, shrimp, beef, veggies) - wonderful sauce. Giant vegetables. jumbo shrimp. tender meats. very good. BBQ Ribs - delicious Crab Rangoon - (Free with coupon) This was a GIANT order, especially considering it was free. I expected like 4 or 5 rangoons and there was a whole giant box full. That said, these weren't the best rangoons I've had... they needed more onion/"crab"crab". It was too cream cheesy. Also, they substituted my white rice for brown rice. THEY HAVE BROWN RICE. That, like, never happens at a Chinese place. Mind you, I have no illusions that brown rice made my Americanized grease filled mostly fried or pan fried delicious crap remotely good for me, I just prefer brown rice over white, flavor-wise. Anyway, I spent about $40 and had enough food to feed at LEAST 5 ppl well, maybe even 10. Also, this is a take-out only place. There are no tables. There is no bar. Ignore every other Chinese food review I've written for Marlborough and order from Panda House. NOW. You won't be sorry. read more

Standard quick order Chinese food that is filling and nothing outlandish or exceptional. What it is, it is. I went with the sweet & sour pork. A good portion of battered and fried pork bits with a spring roll and a nice pile of pork fried rice. It was nice that the sweet & sour sauce was on the side. Just finished some food from here. I didn't even know the place existed until they threw an unsolicited menu in our front door. On a whim, we figured we should try it. We ordered: chicken fingers: they were on the smallish side and crispy, but that's how I like them veg lo mein - good stuff. It actually had large pieces of fresh veggies. combo platter: general gao's chicken, pork fried rice, and chicken teriyaki. The rice was okay. I've had better. The gao's was very good. I absolutely loved the chicken teriyaki. It all came to less than $20. Delivery was relatively quick and they didn't have trouble finding our house which is pretty common. Ordered the fillet house specialty, sooooo disappointed. The fillet mignon, cut and tasted like chuck steak . Another reason for ordering this dish was because the menu indicated spicy, not true. Tasted like Franco American gravy. Told the manager how disappointed I was about this, and he stated that "it must be good because you're eating it". Eh... not bad, I mean you're going to get exactly what you'd expect. It's standard quick order Chinese food, but it is really good and it's fast. The grabmeat rangoon was unique with a much more flaky crust. The fried rice is made slightly different but still very good. The Singapore Street Noodles... MY GOD THE STREET NOODLES!!! They have honest to God Singapore Street Noodles like what you'd get at a PF Chang's. They are great! Also the delivery is fast and polite! My complaint... well... I swear to God they use the same chef as the Yummy Kitchen. The Hunan Beef came in small amounts of meat with a large amount of veggies that... well they look like they come out of one of those vegitable medley packs you buy at BJs. My boyfriend and I are new to town, from Virginia. We have been settling for sub-par Chinese food for years and I'm so happy to say we've found a new spot! We ordered one of their combos, which my boyfriend appreciated because they offered spare ribs in lieu of soup. He's never been a fan of the staple combo special because you don't always want soup. I, on the other hand, ordered their new house soup and it was divine. It was a real chicken broth, slowly cooked and traditionally spiced. I got the shrimp soup and was pleased to find at least 1 1/2 dozen shrimp bobbing at the top. It was under $7 and I have enough for lunch tomorrow. Price vs. Portion was an A+ We also both appreciate spice and restaurants that follow suit. They made it just spicy enough and it was still full of flavor! read more

Pretty good food overall. Sometimes the MSG upsets my wife but not always. The pork buns are my absolute favorite. Very good prices.

Generally not bad. But the quality and salt level of some dishes does go up and down week to week. If you call and be patient and nice with manager, they are understanding, just struggle with English skills. The tofu with spicy meat is great, Kung Pow is great. Pork fried rice is exceptional. Hot and sour soup is good. Noodle soups are good. Delivery is great, just order before rush hour or around 11 am. Driver has limited English skills, so again, be patient if order is mixed up or you get tons of duck sauce and no fortune cookies, or No duck sauce and extra spoons and napkins. read more

I am very dissappointed with this place. I always order from them and usually don't have a problem. However, the past two times I ordered from them things have not been the same. The food quality went down so much and prices just keep going up of course. Also, I just ordered something now, two small items to be more specific, on a Tuesday afternoon. I have given this spot several chances and I am sorry to say that I will not be ordering from them again. I ordered garlic chicken yesterday and the sauce was not garlic sauce furthermore it had a little jelly consistency. Which tells me it was not freshly made. The food tasted old. You get ONE star for good Peking Raviolis. You get a 2ND star for good, fresh Crab Rangoon which had actual crab in them. You get a 3RD star for the hunky, hot, dreamy, yummy guy who delivered my food. Mmmmmmm... YES you deserved that $6 tip you young, handsome delivery man you... The revolting, smelly, gross, horrid, bad (as in NOT FRESH) Egg Rolls were unforgivable. The burnt boneless spareribs AND rubbery bone-in spareribs that hurt my teeth are not acceptable. I love this place, the food is cheap and good. My favorite is the Lo Mein, and kind chicken, pork, veggie they are all good, and I am NOT a big lo mein fan. Food is priced very well if not cheap. I love the all day specials. Wish the fired rice had a little more flavor, and that some of the sauces were a little less gloopy, but still VERY tasty. read more

Love their food! We always order their steamed dumplings, hot and sour soup and chicken teriyaki. Everything always tastes fantastic! The only problem they have is that they sometimes tend to forget stuff when they deliver ( drinks, sauces, etc.). Which can be a pain if you order with a credit card. One of the better Chinese takeout places in Marlborough. The portions are GIGANTIC! I do like that the food is not overly salty. The chicken lo mein and General Tso's chicken have good flavor. HORRIBLE first time EXPERIENCE! Food was delivered quickly but cold and 2 of our 3 lunch combos were missing items. On my meal I asked them to not put in the 2 giant spare ribs and to substitute chicken wings instead. They charged me extra for the substitute and then gave me only 1 wing. We also ordered extra dauce sauce which they failed to bring us. When we called about the missing items and missing duck sauce they said they would bring it over but they were going to charge us per duck sauce and for the extra trip. This place used to be great, but now have gotten in the habit of ripping their customers off. I placed an order for "Seafood Fantasia in Garlic sauce" (advertised as "scallops and shrimp with vegetable in garlic sauce"), and udon noodle in soup. I received mei-fun noodles instead of udon in the soup (still delicious, but demonstrates poor attention to detail), The advertised scallops for the seafood dish were MIA, replaced with artificial "seafood legs", and the vegetables were severely undercooked (nearly raw). I contacted the manager, who played dumb, and I got nowhere with her. Apparently, she thinks her customers are stupid. We've been ordering delivery, and occasionally eating in, at this restaurant for several years. The orders are always accurate, the service is friendly, and deliveries are generally on time. Food is standard fare for Chinese fast food. Recently, they stopped accepting credit cards for online orders, which is a huge pain in the butt. I order online for the convenience of it, and I don't appreciate having to call in now instead. Major bummer. read more

There were issues here and there, it often took longer than it should, but I let it go because it was decent enough and I didn't feel like looking for a new place to order from....but this issue is beyond ignoring. I ordered chicken and broccoli and a side. Halfway through my meal I noticed something sticking out of a piece of my chicken. I pulled on it and out came a piece of thin metal (at least that's what it looked like) about 3" in length! I was disgusted. I called to let them know about it and they offered me a $5 gift card...um, no thanks because that means I'd have to get food there again. So they said they'd credit my card for the chicken. It's a to go place. I generally buy vegetable chowmein from here and it's good. Good amount of veggies they add. I believe they would be selling other good dishes as well. Comparatively better than the other restaurants in the Marlborough area in similar price range. read more
