This is literally the closest Chinese place to my house. I could walk to it without considerable effort. Despite that, I never bothered to try it. I think they didn't deliver when I first moved (they do now), which was part of it, because Chinese food only gets ordered when I'm feeling particularly lazy... and then I had other menus and I forgot and then I'd drive by and say "oh, I should try them" and then I'd get sidetracked. And, recently, they put a menu in my mailbox which made it's way to my menu box. Well, fellow Yelpers, I have failed. COMPLETELY. The is, BY far, the best Chinese food I've had in the area. I simply won't order from anywhere else again (well, unless it's really late night and they're closed by the "other guy" is open.) I ordered: Vegetable Lo Mein - tasty, smokey, full of crunchy veggies. Pork Lo Mein - I didn't eat any of this, but I imagine it was on par with the veggie (-veggies add pork). Orange Flavor Chicken - expertly fried. loaded with fresh ginger and orange peel (for flavor) and broccoli (to give the illusion of healthiness where none exists) Three Delight in Garlic Sauce (chicken, shrimp, beef, veggies) - wonderful sauce. Giant vegetables. jumbo shrimp. tender meats. very good. BBQ Ribs - delicious Crab Rangoon - (Free with coupon) This was a GIANT order, especially considering it was free. I expected like 4 or 5 rangoons and there was a whole giant box full. That said, these weren't the best rangoons I've had... they needed more onion/"crab"crab". It was too cream cheesy. Also, they substituted my white rice for brown rice. THEY HAVE BROWN RICE. That, like, never happens at a Chinese place. Mind you, I have no illusions that brown rice made my Americanized grease filled mostly fried or pan fried delicious crap remotely good for me, I just prefer brown rice over white, flavor-wise. Anyway, I spent about $40 and had enough food to feed at LEAST 5 ppl well, maybe even 10. Also, this is a take-out only place. There are no tables. There is no bar. Ignore every other Chinese food review I've written for Marlborough and order from Panda House. NOW. You won't be sorry.

Pretty good food overall. Sometimes the MSG upsets my wife but not always. The pork buns are my absolute favorite. Very good prices.

I love the food here. I only wish they would skip putting baby corn from a can. The vinagar in it spoils the flavor of the lomein.

The quality of the ingredients here is truly incredible - everything was so fresh and perfectly seasoned - we will definitely be back. We ordered: Grilled Salmon ($17) - This came with two sides and I chose the butternut squash and vegetable which ended up being broccoli. First, I am not a huge fan of squash but this squash was to die for. It was mashed up and so buttery and well seasoned. Wow. I'd come back just for the squash if I'm being honest. It was perfectly sweet and rich - a really great side to any dish. The broccoli was a steamed head of broccoli that was fine and added some nice green to our dinner, but that squash was special. And if we're talking about special, the salmon was grilled perfectly, seasoned perfectly, and came with this delicious creamy dill sauce and a slice of lemon that brought everything together wonderfully. It was perfectly cooked and juicy with great flavor - I will definitely be ordering this again. Seafood Casserole ($21) - We got this with mashed potatoes and cole slaw and the potatoes were also really tasty and well seasoned. The cole slaw didn't have too much mayo which was nice, but it wasn't too special other than that. The casserole itself had some HUGE scallops, shrimp, and haddock that was all very nicely breaded and buttery. The scallops were literally the best scallops I've had in over five years. They were massive, sweet, and perfectly cooked so they were tender and juicy inside. The shrimp was also above-average - nice and plump with a good sweetness as well, and the fish was decent, but not the star of the show. Steamed Mussels ($17) - This was served over linguini with a garlic, white wine, and tomato sauce. There were a good amount of fresh mussels in this, and the sauce had a nice balance of sour, sweet, and savory. This wasn't my favorite, but it was still very solid. Both this and the other pasta dish also came with two pieces of garlic bread which was served as a roll cut like a hasselback potato with butter, garlic, and herbs stuffed in each mini-slice. It was buttery and salty and even crispy - really delicious! Seafood Fra Diavolo ($23) - Similar to the seafood casserole, this had AMAZING scallops and shrimp in it. It also surprisingly had small chunks of lobster, and the fish was yummy as well. The sauce was sweet and tomato-ey, and we kept coming back to this linguine dish over and over - it was so fresh and balanced! Overall, EVERYTHING WAS SO FRESH. All of the seafood was sweet, fresh, and just really clean tasting. We will absolutely be coming back here again and again, and the price was also really reasonable. On top of that, they have a little shop where you can buy fresh raw seafood as well as prepared seafood soups, baked dishes, salads, desserts, and other treats and goodies. This is such a wonderful find we're so happy to have discovered it!

The bellies were good but I really didn't like the breading. It lacked flavor. I found myself adding salt and pepper which is strange to even think of adding to seafood. Upon walking inside, you'll immediately feel like you've gone back in time. It gives off a very classic, old-fashioned diner feel, with booth seating and red stools along the counter. Important to note that this place is cash only. Lobster and other seafoods are advertised as their specialty both online and within the restaurant. I never had a lobster roll before, and unfortunately, this place made me think lobster rolls were mediocre and overrated (and then I had my life changed by lobster rolls from other places). FOOD: Lobster Roll (6 oz.) (2.75/5) - I opted for mine to be served warm with butter. It came with a side of slaw and very generous portion of onion rings and fries. The lobster roll itself was lukewarm and the melted butter came on the side in a small plastic cup. (I was expecting for the butter to be more incorporated.) The lobster sat on a small bed of cut lettuce. The lettuce wasn't of the freshest quality as some pieces tasted strangely bitter. The lobster was a tad rubbery, and everything was overall bland to me. I found myself reaching for the salt shaker more than would have wanted to. SERVICE: I believe a new hire was getting trained during my visit, so it was a bit clumsy. However, I found it rather charming. They are all very warm people, and you can tell that this is a family owned establishment, which is why I really wanted to like this place. TLDR// Unfortunately, did not have the greatest first lobster roll experience here. Hopefully, I went on an off day or I was better off ordering something else.
