My father and I dined here on Christmas Day, The service was fast, and very friendly. The food came out in a reasonable time for as busy as they were. This restaurant is in an old Taco John's building, so there is very limited seating. Portions are decent sized price is pretty on par with other Chinese restaurants. This is a family run restaurant and I am guessing family recipes. My ginger beef was absolutely delicious. My father had Hunan beef and he said it was very tasty. The only downside to the meal was the meat wasn't as tender and succulent as I've had before. This is definitely going to be a place on our list for dining. They are open late and they have a drive-thru.

Great little place for Chinese in Boise. Had seen some good reviews so I stopped by on a Saturday night for some takeout. Ordered Spring Rolls 2pc and Spider Roll (J61). Forgot to take pics but was pleased with both choices. I was hoping Spring Rolls were fresh paper wrapped but they were the crunchy ones, still good however! Spider roll also very tasty. Family run place and quick to get food out. Not busy at 8pm on Saturday inside but drive through had a couple cars. Overall I would come back

I have to be honest, when we pulled up, and this place was inside an old Taco Bell, I had my reservations. That's where my reservations ended. We were greeted by a young man, and I am guessing the son of the amazing hostess/waitress/amazing woman. She came to the table and gave descriptions to us on all the items we had questions about. She went above and beyond, and I would return back, just to visit with her and order more amazing food!! We ordered several different items, we got their Orange Chicken, Chicken Lo Mein, Pork Fried Rice, Roast Pork Egg Rolls, Crab Rangoon, and the Triple Delight. The Orange Chicken is so good, has the right amount of spice, orange rind pieces, not greasy, came with a few pieces of broccoli, and amazing! The Chicken Lo Mein, I don't know where to start. I love Lo Mein. This is the best I have ever had. The flavor the chicken has is incredible, I would 5-star this item all on its own. Also, in my experience, many places that serve this, it's greasy, not this, it's perfect! The Roast Pork Egg Rolls and Crab Rangoon were delicious. The Crab Rangoon is fried perfectly, it's full of flavor and better than most. The Egg Roll has a really unique flavor. They are not huge, just the perfect size, and hit the spot. The Pork Fried Rice is full of pork, peas, carrots, and just what you would want in a friend rice. It's not your typical fried rice that you get from other places, it is like a flavor explosion. The Triple Delight has decent size shrimp, pork, and chicken, along with all the veggies, onions, broccoli, baby corn on the cob, mushrooms, snow peas, carrots, and water chestnuts. The flavors come together and make you keep going back for more. The overall experience was a 10/10. We will definitely be back here again. Sometimes, the places that look questionable have the best food.

I have been coming here for 10 years. After having been to Chinatown in several cities, including San Francisco this place is a breath of fresh air in the Idaho Chinese arena. Always good food and service

a hidden gem!! I live very closeby, so Panda Garden is a one of my go-tos for dinner. the portions are incredible and very well priced!! the staff is always so welcoming and friendly, and the restaurant itself is nice too! very comfy place to sit and eat, look out the window, or admire the resident slider turtles!

Had to stop for lunch and found this place. The place was a small area along a main road serving Japanese and Chinese dishes. Ordered sashimi, bento boxes, shrimp fried rice and spicy chicken dish. What a amusing combo. Japanese dishes cooked by Chinese. Did not taste good. The fried rice was oily and the sashimi variety was a bit hard and not that fresh. This place is good just to fill your stomach and not much more.

Okay okay, this was hands down the nicest I've ever been treated at a restaurant, they're a family business, and DANG that is some good sushi for $5. Nowhere else are you gonna find that kind of food at that price. Very good (I'm actually kinda a sushi snob but it passed the test) and they brought it out literally not a second after I finished my Miso soup. The restaurant building itself is a little rough around the edges, but the service is great, the family is hospitable, and they do takeout ALL THE TIME so if you're not about the atmosphere, just order to go. Very very satisfied, adding that to my list of hidden gems.

Amazing chicken, crispy sesame beef, pork and seeds, lomein, veggie foo yung.

We got a couple of rolls along with Nigiri and both of them were delicious. The waiter was very attentive. That dining experience wasn't the best. Our server was rude. Our chef cross contaminated his cooking utensils with cooked veggies and raw chicken. We had to look for our server for sake bombs. These were just a couple of the few issues with my first initial visit. As horrible our first visit was, I made sure I came in today with an open mind. Our reservation time was for 5:15. They had our table set up and us at the table by 5:10. We did come early so it wasn't really busy at the time. We sat, got ourselves adjusted and our server was ready to grab our drinks. Our server did take a minute to get our drinks to us. We did have a couple different lemonades which could be time consuming and a hot water pot. After drinks were dispersed, or server asked if we wanted to do at starters. We asked her just to take all of our orders at the same time. Some of us wanted sushi for dinner as well as Hibachi. Soups and salads were dropped off while everything was getting prepped. The soup looked really hot but it actually was at a good temp. The soup was on the saltier side but still good. The salad was ok. The salad dressing didn't really hit for me. It wasn't sweet nor savory. This part of the review will be hard for me since my dad was our chef tonight. He's the most amazing chef on the planet so my opinion will always be bias for my dad. But I'll be honest! We started off with the fried rice. The rice was cooked nicely! It wasn't dry and had great bits of onion, egg and carrots. It could have used a little more soy sauce. My husband opted for the side of yakisoba noodles. They were chewy in texture and slightly charred! So good but it was on the saltier side. My meal was shrimp and salmon. The shrimp was tasty! They were good sized prawns and cooked perfectly. I appreciate that the salmon was grilled perfectly! I love when the salmon is crusty from the grill. I like the crispness on the outside and softness on the inside. My chef did a great job! Our server did an ok job. She checked up on us once while the chef was cooking. She filled up our drinks but miss my daughter's drink so we had to fill it ourselves since she left carafes of our lemonades on the fireplace. I had to fill up my drink as well since she was gone for a while. Boxes were passed out when we were done. She gave us 1 bag and didn't ask if anyone else needed their boxes bagged up. I did see bags on a side table so I grabbed a couple. Bagged up my sister's 4 boxes and my mom's 2 boxes. I would leave this at a 3.5 stars but since my chef did such a good job it's a 4. The silverware could be polished. Nothing like eating your meal with a fork with a ton of water spots on it and looks dirty. Soup could have been hotter since it's cold outside. Overall, it was a good meal with decent service.

It's rather difficult, if not almost impossible, to find delicious, authentic Japanese cuisine in the Treasure Valley. This small food cart is an Idaho gem. I've tried several of their food items, however this review will focus on their namesake dish, takoyaki (octopus ball). For those who don't know, takoyaki is a popular Japanese street food with bits of chopped octopus and dough inside a slightly crispy shell garnished with takoyaki sauce. I was very happy with how similar the snack tastes to the ones I've had in Japan. Genki serves these in 6 pieces ($6) and there are several sauces available. I like to top mine with sriracha to add a kick. It's a wonderful mid evening snack! My only complaint is on a couple visits I found my takoyaki to be rather old tasting, like either the oil hadn't been changed in a while or the octopus was overdue. It's happened less times than more so I'll still continue to eat this unless it becomes more frequent. Genki use to be very active on the Street Food Finder app but this summer they seem to limit their postings to Facebook and Instagram, so if you want to find them you'll have to go either of those routes.

Of course I had to try both. 6 dumplings made for a big snack or a small meal. I would have preferred them slightly more crispy, but that's an easy fix if you ask. Topped with bonito flakes, Japanese mayo, and teriyaki sauce for a nice mix of savory and sweet flavors. The pricing doesn't make a whole lot of sense: $4 for 4, 5$ for 6, $7 for 8. Sort of de-incentivizing ppl from going for 8. Just a thought.
