If you're looking for the unusual and delicious then look no further then here. The Genki Takoyaki is the newest must have at food truck Rallies and the Boise Farmer's Market. Find them on Facebook for their next appearance. Rhett Atagi has spent several years in Japan, is a sushi chef and he is most ably assisted by Christie.

Bought some takoyaki today, it was delicious! Service was great! Also love that they offer pork belly dumplings along with the original!

I enjoyed it so much, I hesitate to celebrate it on this platform, for fear of it becoming so popular that it becomes difficult to get a reservation. The staff was kind and inviting, eager to please, and at the too of their game. They were quick to seat us and get our drinks, happy to help is understand some of the ingredients, and offer recommendations. We started with Chicken Karrage, then ordered some Signature Sushi Rolls. I went with the Keiko roll, even though I was a bit concerned about the spice (I asked them to take out the jalapeños). It was incredibly delicious. The full flavor hit me right away, and the heat got me at the end. Not unbearable though. I ate the whole thing! My husband thoroughly enjoyed his North Ender Roll, then we got the Mochi in three glorious flavors. Mango, green tea, and strawberry. Strawberry was my favorite. I'm so thrilled to finally have a high-quality sushi bar in Boise!!!

The sushi chefs were super nice. The one taught us how they cut the cucumber (Japanese technique as well as American / or easy way lol!) Had miso soup as well. I will be back! So happy to have a variety of superb and high end sushi in Boise. I highly recommend.... Don't be intimated. It may look "fancy" but they are super down to earth employees, with a fancy menu. They explain it thoroughly though!

We had a fantastic time at Tepanyaki Japanese Steak House! Chef Lam was the star of the show; his entertainment while prepping and cooking was top-notch and kept us smiling and laughing the whole time. As for the food, every single bite was flavored and cooked to perfection. The fried rice, vegetables, shrimp, scallops, chicken, and filet mignon were all outstanding. If you're looking for high-quality food at a reasonable price and that classic, high-energy hibachi experience, this is the place to be. We'll definitely be back!

Oops. This was our go to for teppanyaki in Boise, not any more…read more The chef came out and was obviously in a hurry. Less than 5 minutes and we had our fried rice in the bowls. The chicken came out pre cut into cubes and obviously pre cooked. Or at least par cooked. The shrimp looked pre cooked as well. Lots of talking but very little cooking at the table. Re-heated chicken is never good. The table next to us had the food started 20 minutes before us and kept going for at least 20 minutes after our chef was done. The steak was hard to chew and like I said the chicken was reheated. Too bad. Next time I will spend a little more $ and have something I want from the place on Fairview.
