What I like about Panda Express, at least this one, is that it is immaculate. You can see the grill and kitchen area, which are also immaculate. The dining area is upscale so it doesn't feel like a fast food chain. Everything is super clean. The food is reasonably priced for a a quick lunch. Entrees are pre-prepared but tasted fresh during our early lunch visit. There is a decent selection of entrees, except I did not see any vegetarian options and I wanted veggies. I wish I had seen the Super Green side option but not until after I ordered. I tried the Special Firecracker Shrimp entree, which they didn't mention had an up-charge. I also tried the Sesame Chicken which I thought was overly sweet. Both entrees had a few fresh vegetables that were really good. The chicken and shrimp were moist and well prepared. We also tried the Broccoli Beef and the Kung Pao Chicken. Vegetables and meat perfectly cooked but the brown sauce was too sweet. My granddaughter loved the chow mein side which was prepared with fresh cabbage. She had three helpings. The staff is not particularly friendly but they are efficient. I had not been to a Panda Express for years. In fact, I think my only previous experience was at an airport location . But I've heard so many people raving about the plant-based Beyond orange chicken that I decided to give it a try. This location has a drive thru, but there were a few cars lined up so I went inside. Everything looked very clean. The employee who greeted me spoke very quickly, and I had to ask him to repeat everything he said. The first thing he said was "Plateorbowl?" Since I was unfamiliar with the ordering process I had to ask, and he then very slowly said, "Plate or bowl?" They didn't have enough of the Beyond orange chicken, but I didn't mind waiting while they prepared more. It was fresh and hot, and very good. The fried rice, however, was very dry and lacked flavor. It would have benefited from some soy sauce or hot mustard, but none was offered. I looked around and didn't see any sauce packets so I figured they didn't have any. I had a couple of veggie spring rolls and they were good. I liked the Beyond orange chicken so I would probably return. I would try another side instead of the fried rice though. read more

What you would expect from a well tan Panda restaurant. The staff is always friendly and efficient. The food always comes out fast and fresh. Never have a problem ordering or them getting it correct. And the fortune cookie is a nice plus :) This place is convenient especially for lunch with their drive thru open now for efficient and fast service! Seems to be working really well. This was my first experience with Panda Express. I made a visit through the drive-thru and the employee taking my order spoke so quickly & had zero enthusiasm. At the window, I was met with the same enthusiasm so I'm guessing it was the same person taking the order. I had asked for soy & hot sauce and after receiving my order, noticed there was none of it in my bag. I then waited for the employee to come back so I could ask again, and she offered no apology and actually didn't say a word to me. The food is was actually pretty tasty to my surprise! The orange chicken was pretty fresh and had a really nice flavor. The chow mein was a little on the dry side, so the soy & hot sauce helped bring some life to it. I always like to give benefit of doubt when a restaurant fails to meet expectations as long there is willingness address and correct the mistake after the brought to the attention. Rating this low because this place did not address the issue even when I pointed the issue. Very excited when this Panda Express was opened near our home as we frequent this chain quite regularly. Location is great, Staff is generally nice and good/clean interior. The consistency of the quality of food in terms seasoning and done properly remains an issue. The portion was alright until visited this time. Clearly the portion size, in particular for the side was way small and when drawn to the staff's attention, I was told that is the right proportion. I have had enough meals from this chain to know very well the right portion size and this time that was not clearly met. May try a few times to see if the issue is corrected. The quality of food is inconsistent, today the Black angus steak was way over cooked to the point it was like burnt mush. The rangoons and spring rolls were burnt and soggy and I requested hot mustard and soy sauce and was given chili sauce and sweet and sour. Never go to the drive through. It's new to the area, so of course it's hopping right now. So, please do everyone a favor and don't try 10 items and wait to order under after all of your taste testing is complete! New decor, sets this one apart from the other Panda's. It's brand new and is clean and modern. Same setup as the rest-glass barricade with all of their choices. Carryout Beware!!!! I do not typically write reviews but after a second experience of not getting our full order here we are. To receive a completely EMPTY carryout carton as one of the 4 meals we ordered was utterly shocking. These are the white Styrofoam containers which have to be folded shut. There is NO WAY it was not noticed that they were closing and placing in our bag an empty container. We live some distance from the restaurant so a call was made. Their solution was a free entree the next time we visit. No reimbursement for the meal was received. They kept our money for future use. If the staff cannot fill a container and get it in the bag I have zero confidence that there is a credit on our account. Check your bag AND containers before leaving. read more

Also, new help, (not the problem) , manager was very brash and told me she had worked way to many hours this week and she was tired. Had to try the newest restaurant in the Whitestown/Anson area. Even though this location is new, the staff seemed very well trained and everything was well organized. I got orange chicken with white rice in a bowl and it was enough for me to take home a little for lunch the next day. I also got a side of cream cheese rangoons. They were smaller than I expected but very tasty. I liked seeing all their meal options clearly posted on the menu and correctly labeled behind the glass. I was excited when they put down a fresh pot of orange chicken right before I ordered. I dined in and I liked their seating arrangement, and everything was clean and tidy. I even saw a staff member wiping down tables after each set of guests left. Only negative was that although their drink/napkin station was clean and organized, I didn't see any knives or spoons. Just plenty of forks. Also I would probably put a stack of bowl lids over there to avoid customers like me asking at the front counter for a lid to take home. We have visited this location several times since it opened. They are not consistant with the quality of their food. Staff is not very friendly or make you feel welcome. A couple of visits the food was cold. We decided to give them another try. Today 2/21/2019 I ordered my usual orange chicken. The bowl they served from was almost empty & sauce was dried all around sides. I should have asked for more fresh food but I actually thought they might do it on their own.
