Looks great, fell short - Black Pepper Chicken
Fred B.

After all this time of not eating at a Panda Express, I said what the heck and headed here. I know that the quality of the food would be average at best, and if the food has been sitting for long that will not help, but still there are a couple of items I wish to try - Original "World Famous" Orange Chicken and Black Pepper Chicken. Neither of these dishes are authentic Chinese, they are strictly Chinese American creations. But like with most such dishes here or in the UK (yes, there very definitely is Chinese British cuisine, most begun by immigrants from Hong Kong, and very, very different from that in the USA) there is a traditional dish that was the starting point - such is true for both of these items. The Orange Chicken most certainly was adapted from a dish from Hunan Providence, Sour Tangerine Chicken, a dish that was much more citrus based, not at all sweet, and in a much thinner sauce! Black Pepper Chicken is most likely a variation of Pepper Steak with Onions, which had origins in a pork and pepper dish from China - yeap pork! Ok, where were we - ah, the two chicken dishes, the reason I came to begin with. It was not a totally wasted trip, but neither did it exceed my expectations. The Orange was the slightly better of the two offerings, not nearly as sweet as some versions I've encountered. But if I'm gonna go sweet Chinese chicken, I'll stay with General Tso'. As to the Black Pepper Chicken, there is a sweetness that doesn't work for me on this dish! Return? No! But if you don't fail, It's because you didn't try! And I've be told several times that I am indeed trying.

This is a great panda-express, relative to other panda-expresses. If you're expecting authentic chinese food here then you're going to be let down. But if you're just hungry for some quick, delicious PANDA - you can't go wrong here. Always well-stocked with key items and food is always hot when I go. Long lines move quickly through as well!

Orange chicken and Honey Sesame Chicken with fried rice

Walked in to a friendly atmosphere. Employees were very helpful with this being my first visit to a Panda Express! Restaurant was clean and welcoming. Manager was very helpful in helping me pick my plate. Carla recommended some sauce when I got to the check out. Will recommend to others and be back

I have never been to a Panda Express before. I enjoyed my visit during lunch. I ordered the bowl.with noodles and orange chicken. It was pretty good. I wish the noodles were hotter but they were tasty. The orange chicken was crispy and yummy. I would like to try one of the beef dishes next time because it looked good. I ordered the cream cheese wontons and liked them a lot. The resturant was clean and organized. The staff were nice too.

The key to a 4-5 star experience is dining in and choosing the freshest looking items in front of you. Like a buffet, you can tell when something has been sitting for too long, so skip those items. The service was fast, but the team was highly distracted and not helpful... typical of so many quick service restaurants these days. The Black Angus Steak dish was really good. The steak was surprisingly tender and juicy, and overall great flavor, well worth the $1.50 upcharge. The Honey Walnut Shrimp wasn't super fresh, but still tasted really good, just the batter softens once it's been coated in the sauce. I would love to get a crispy order as soon as it's cooked. The Black Pepper Chicken was really fresh, had tons of flavor and didn't have to worry about a soft batter as there isn't any on this dish. The Kung Pao Chicken looked piping hot and fresh... and it was... but this chicken is completely different from the chicken used in the Black Pepper Chicken. It was soft and squishy, almost like they were pieces of chicken skin. There was zero meaty texture to the chicken whatsoever. I'm not sure if this is normal for this dish, but we ate at least 10 pieces and all of it was like this. I would be hesitant to try this dish again. The lo mein is good, but the noodles always seem a little underdone. The SuperGreens were hot, fresh, and healthy, just needed a little soy sauce to enhance the flavor. Overall a good meal, just choose wisely.

I'm not an expert on Chinese cuisine, but I know what I like. My family has been going to East…read moreChinese for many years, and it never disappoints. Parking is plentiful and shared with other merchants in the Summit Square Shopping Center. The restaurant's dining area is very Subway-esque with its curved laminated booths. The booths are more for sitting while waiting on your take-out order. I don't think I've ever seen anyone dine-in. East China's lunch specials are a GREAT value, and their non-lunch meals are fairly priced too. I usually order a quart of their Kung Pao chicken which comes with rice and then make it last for at least 2 meals or share with someone else at home. The Kung Pao Chicken is loaded with fresh vegetables, which make it stand out from other competitors. Portion size is huge! I highly recommend placing your next Chinese take-out order here and see for yourself.

The place is clean and not fancy - but has seating if you would like to eat in. The Hunan is amazing (on point), the fried rice tasty just not your typical Chinese fried rice (I expected) and their shrimp rolls were a little mushy inside. My husband has eaten here twice - you get a nice size portion (we shared a combo and added a roll)

Good to see another terrific choice for Chinese food locally, especially as someone who was used to…read moreit being frequently available living in NY. The batter on the general chicken was nice and crunchy with good flavor, and I love that they have the flat noodles available with the chow ho fun! That's something that I have not been able to find around here before otherwise! Glad to see it because it's another dish I grew up eating and was missing for the longest time. Prices were excellent compared to other places, too! Food came out fast as well, and the sitting area inside was pretty clean, too. My only semi complaint would be the fried rice lacked salt, perhaps needing more soy sauce, but really it was refreshing enough on the side, considering how salty the rest of the food is, as per standard Americanized Chinese cuisine. Will definitely be back, especially when craving chow ho fun again!

We love to order the lunch specials which are super filling & come with a choice of soup or egg roll & the meal itself comes with fried rice or white rice. I also like that when I am trying to be a bit more conscious of my carb intake, I can opt for no rice & request extra veggies in my meal. I have tried so many different items & live many of them! If you haven't tried them I definitely recommend trying them! It's also a great place to get food to share as a family & get many items to try for a family meal, & don't forget to get an order of some scrumptious Crab Rangoon !!! You won't regret this recommendation!!
