This is my go-to place for Chinese takeout. I haven't even lived nearby for almost 4 years, but will go out of my way to bring home takeout from here. The most recent visit, I thought there was more residual grease on the egg rolls than normal, but it was still a great meal. The combination plates come with an egg roll, so two plates plus extra egg rolls is enough to eat on for multiple days. And the donuts sprinkled in sugar are a great after meal treat, or eaten the next day with coffee. As a creature of habit, typical order is combination general Tso, combination cashew chicken, extra egg rolls, and donuts. The service is quick, and the restaurant still uses their modified covid protocols, even though customers do not need to mask. The ambiance is straightforward - there's booths but I don't think I've ever seen anyone eat inside. I've always gotten it to-go on and off for 5 years, and haven't been disappointed yet.

When we ate at Khia recently, I noticed this small Chinese restaurant in the same shopping center, and picked up one of their menus. So we stopped in today to pick up some take out. This is a very small pace with limited seating, reminds me of Golden Dragon in that respect. The place is clean and well it, but warm and uncomfortable, at least it was today. We ordered the lunch Szechuan Beef (I keep hoping to find a decent version), Moo Shu Pork ($8.75), the lunch Gen'l Tso's, and the lunch Chicken Wings. The lunch special go for $5.85 each, and come with Vegetable Fried Rice, and an Egg Roll. Took almost 25 minutes to get the order, with no one else in the restaurant, and no take out orders were picked while we were there. An individual came in after, ordered a lunch special, came back 10 minutes later, and his order was ready. Not impressed at all with this type of service. The food was simply unimpressive at best, a gloppy mess at worst. The Chicken Wings were decent but lacked that distinctive Chinese chicken wing flavor, and were slightly overcooked. The Egg Roll was rather tasty, as was the vegetable fried rice, though I much prefer pork or shrimp fried rice. The Szechuan Beef had a bit of heat, but only a small amount of beef, and like most versions in this area, it was loaded with extraneous vegetables, like broccoli, baby corn, and more - so you pretty much end up with a vegetable plate in a sticky sauce. The Gen'l Tso's Chicken was the gloppy mess, all stuck together, with the only taste being that of sweetness, no heat. The Moo Shu Pork was probably the biggest disappointment, with both a strange taste and texture - even the usual sauce didn't help. The pork in the dish was very light colored, a very light brown. All in all, not a memorable experience, and I don't see an Asian Wok in my future.

They have great food. The best egg-drop soup you can find. It's worth the extra money to have excellent flavour.

We've had amazing Chinese food in San Francisco Chinatown when we lived there during our post…read moregraduate studies, and have to say this place measures up! Best we've had yet in the Triad area by a long shot. First off, the online ordering process is super easy, and the estimated time for pick up was spot on. Highly recommend ordering online beforehand. The place was slammed, packed in like sardines on a Saturday evening. Everyone waiting for orders, and even if you don't order prior, the wait would still be worth it. This place was a well oiled machine, everyone knowing exactly what to do and how to pump out stellar authentic Chinese food quickly and efficiently. Flavorful dishes, authentic spices and sauces, juicy meat, perfectly cooked noodles and rice...you name it, this place does it right. Crispy scallion chicken is the bomb! Each and every other dish we had was top notch, including the pork egg foo young, chicken lo mein, house special fried rice (chicken pork and shrimp). And can't leave out the perfectly fried pork egg rolls...taste overload. Can't wait to come back and try more of this amazing and truly authentic Chinese joint.

That kitchen is packed with people cooking up the absolute best Chinese food and takeout in the Triad. It doesn't get better than this folks. This is currently, and always has been, the best spot to get your fix. Even my family members from NY who have access to amazing Chinese takeout on every corner agree. Everything is delicious, but make sure you get enough of their scratch made pork egg rolls to have one with you meal, and one for the air fryer to go with your leftovers. They are addicting. Try the crispy scallion chicken, along with your favorites. Golden Wok forever!

Not sure how old the interior photos are on their Yelp reviews but looks better in person. Dude running the place was waiting on tables, answering the phones, taking orders at the front, bossing people around in the back and bringing the food out of the kitchen and serving it HOT! He was a one man show today and killing it! Plus he was so nice. About the food. I ordered an Eggroll and Curry Chicken with fried rice. The eggroll was not the best I've had but it was good. It tasted fresh and no signs of the red pork that you sometimes get (thumbs up).The Curry Chicken sauce was really good. The chicken was nice and tender, the vegetables were fresh and crisp. My only complaint would be to not serve green peppers with the yellow curry sauce. It's my own personal preference because peppers give me heartburn. I will go back for sure to try some other dishes and I would definitely recommend to anyone looking for relaxing ambiance and fresh, delicious Chinese cuisine.

We didn't order them this time, but they're definitely on the list for a future visit. Everything we did get was packed with flavor. The crab rangoons and pork dumplings arrived hot and fresh, and the Dan Dan noodles, orange chicken, chicken chow fun, and garlic beef were all very tasty. One of the biggest positives here is consistency of flavor, something that's been surprisingly hard to find with a lot of Chinese takeout spots we've tried in the area. The only real miss for us is that egg foo young isn't on the menu, which my wife loves and always hopes to find. That aside, this is a super solid takeout option for flavorful, authentic, and fresh Chinese food.

In all the years we have been getting takeout, never had an issue with the accuracy of our orders. They have nice sized crispy breaded wings. Their fried wontons and crab rangoons are also good picks. I chuck them in the air fryer because the sweaty containers do make them a bit flat by the time you make it home. Egg rolls are what you expect. Hunan chicken is not very spicy but has a good flavor. Lo meins are good, too. Food cost are up everywhere. 2 combo plates, small order of wings, and wontons set me back $42. The extra $4.00 upcharge on the combo for house lo mein versus chicken was unexpected (dinner combo is already $10.75) but I didn't ask and the girl answering the phone didn't offer so that's on me. Lesson learned. Next time, I will stick with the chicken. If you liked Mr. Wonton back in the 90's you will like them, too. Similar cooking style and portions.

I'll be honest--I avoided China Cafe for a while because of the older Yelp reviews. But last night…read moreI needed something quick, ordered on DoorDash, and I'm really glad I gave them a chance. Everything I ordered was actually solid. The lo mein? Chef's kiss. The noodles were cooked perfectly, nice and saucy, and they even offered it spicy--which I've never been offered before. The meat was tender and well-seasoned. Personally, I wouldn't mind a little more cabbage in it, but that's just preference. The fried chicken wings really surprised me. Usually I end up throwing wings in the air fryer to crisp them up more--but not these. They were already crispy, fresh, and flavorful straight out the container. Now let me talk about the sweet and sour chicken... I've NEVER been a fan. I always thought it looked too breaded and soggy, so I avoided it for years. When I opened my order and realized that's what I got, I was low-key annoyed but decided to try it anyway. And wow--that ended up being my favorite item. The sauce was perfect, and once I dipped it myself, it completely changed my mind about sweet and sour chicken. The soup was also really good--super flavorful with that rich broth and those sesame oil "gold spots" on top (you know it's good when you see that). The only thing I wasn't big on was the plain fried rice--but that's more of a personal preference since I usually don't go for plain fried rice anyway. Next time I'll try the house fried rice. Overall, I'm pleasantly surprised. This was a great experience, especially for a last-minute order. I'll definitely be ordering again--and next time I'll come back with pictures because this was a spur-of-the-moment decision. China Cafe, you proved me wrong

The most disappointing part, however, was the pre-packaged wonton chips that came with the egg drop soup. Unfortunately, this will be my final visit.
