Positive was the person working the drive thru window was professional but the food was the worst I've ever had at a Panda Express. The Chicken was burnt and super dry and off tasting due to the burnt/over cooked. Also only had 2 1/2 green beans in the serving. The rice was over cooked and dry also. And then after all that my other two items I was given something else entirely. Very disappointing meal. And I was down the road before I ate so, too far to go back and do anything about it. But I won't be getting more food at this location. I'll just go to Cafe Yumm on my weekly run through every day. Hopefully they'll recover quickly and get a much better at some point. read more

Twice we have ordered from this location and if you order the green bean chicken do not expect any chicken. This is also the case with several of their other dishes. I brought this to their attention and on the second time I realized there will be no change. They should just say we are vegetarian instead of naming dishes with the meat they were supposed to have. We will not be ordering from them again as this happened again tonight and I had even called them and said, "please do not just give the green beans with no chicken". For Chinese chain restaurants food, this fairly good. You have to get out car and go inside to see what items are fresh and just coming off the grill to get really good flavors. They have a steam table and food can sit for hours. The fried rice is the best side, or the steamed vegetables, the chowmien not so great just lots of spaghetti noodles. The Shanghai beef was delicious and the Beijing beef was great fresh off the wonk. Service was good and staff polite. read more

Jaun was really nice even after I asked to sample EVERYTHING (well... not EVERYTHING) in their warming bin. Panda Express isn't going to blow your mental taste buds. In fact, it may make some of them run and hide, but its not like there is GOOD Chinese food in the Portland area anyway. It's fast food style Chinese food. Absolutely worst service I've ever received. I asked for two orange chicken bowls, and a side order of Beijing beef. They told me it would be a couple minutes. I was completely fine with that and they told me to park in spot one. I noticed on my receipt that I just said extra orange chicken and I was charged $1.50. I went into inquire to ask about getting the original order with the small side of Beijing beef. They told me it was the same up charge and didn't seem to wanna listen to what I was saying, and kept talking over me. When the food was finally delivered. 20 minutes later, I had one orange chicken bowl and one Beijing beef bowl. Again, not what I had asked for. I went into inquire again and was ignored for further five minutes before I got frustrated and just left. I really shouldn't like this food as much as I do, but sometimes it just hits the spot. Actually, it is my kids that always drag me here. Son #1 goes crazy for the Mandarin Chicken and Son #2 is all about the Orange Chicken. Maybe it has something to do with the fact that the kids meals come with a chocolate chip cookie, fortune cookie, rice or noodles and a drink. McDonald's isn't the only chain savvy about luring in the little consumers. That being said, I'm always happy with my food. It is Americanized Chinese, but always quickly served and consistently tasty and their restaurants are clean. I usually go for the Kung Pao or Black Pepper Chicken, but today I had the Firecracker Shrimp which was a special item on their Chinese New Year menu. Lots of peppers, onions and spices, just the way I like it. I usually get the fried rice since the chow mein never looks terribly appetizing. We didn't think anything of it. What we were faced with was completely eye-opening horrible customer service. When we tried placing our order, the lady kept making mistakes and then would chuckle afterwards and blame it on us. When we stood our ground and politely said "stop right there" because the lady was taking us out on the intercom. We repeated the order and she blamed the whole experience on us... We thought that was the end of it. Well, it wasn't because the second we pulled up to the window this lady was rustling with the broken or un-serviceable window and then proceeded to take the money, shove the change at us, throw the food at us and didn't even apologize nor did she even say have a nice day. My mother called her out on it politely and said "you're welcome. By the way, that was rude." The drive-thru lady's facial expression was a very un-serious and complete mockery expression and she tried saying something afterwards but we pulled off being as though we were already mad. Due to the fact that this review and the yelp reviews aren't doing much. I don't see this Panda Express being here much longer. Corporate should investigate this and find out what is going on... I have worked near this area since 2013, and I have lived close by long enough to say I have been to this restaurant enough times to say this place sucks now. You can pay extra for a "bigger plate" which is supposed to be a standard portion of one side and three entrees and you'll receive less of everything, in the same size plate. Yay. Normally, they would give the other entree in a separate container. They even ask for consent to pull this scam. "Is it okay if we put it all in the same container?" They asked the first time so I said sure, realized that it was BS when I got it home. So the next time I went, asked for a "bigger plate" and they asked for consent to skimp me again, and I said no. I asked for my other entree to be separate, they said they were out. I was on my lunch break so I conceded and said "yeah, I guess." Fine, whatever. Open up, skimped again, the same amount of food you would get in a regular plate for more money, just kinda different. Okay, I just won't order the bigger plate again. I went there again today on my 30 min lunch break, at 4:30 pm. I ordered a regular plate of broccoli beef and mushroom chicken. Mushroom chicken was gonna be an extra 5 mins, time is ticking for me to clock back in from lunch, so I opted for Beijing beef instead. Received it in a timely manner drive-thru. Got to work to eat at my desk, I had broccoli beef without ANY beef whatsoever, Hard crunchy, yet chewy bits of Beijing beef, and chow mein that looked like a morbidly obese man named Patrick stored a pack of ramen under one of his sweaty fat rolls for an hour, then threw it into a stryrofoam container. Which would be fine if I only spent 4 dollars or something, but damn near 9 bucks?!?! That was my third strike and final visit to this particular location. Don't have anything catered from them. The service was horrible and Rian the manager was worse. We have ordered from them several times and the service is at a all time low now. Ordered almost $200.00 in catered food, received a email telling us to please wear a mask and come into the dining room to receive our order. Upon showing up the manager decided to close the dining room due to a staffing issue. There were employees behind the counter and 2 employees sitting at a table less than 5 feet from the main door. All the employees including Rian the manager ignored my wife for over 5 minutes who stood at the door and occasional knocked. My wife read the email again to verify how to pick our order up, yes we were doing it correctly. We proceeded to call the restaurant several time and some one finally answered the phone, they told us the would bring the order right out. After another 10 minutes of standing by the door they brought our order out, we ask to speak to a manager, he was one of the people sitting by the door talking to the other employee. He told us he did not want to be interrupted and was conducting a interview, he said he put a sign on the door, and we should have went through the drive through, we had 7 giant bags of food to feed 36 people which is ridiculous to be passed through a little plexiglass modified drive up window. With this large of order you would think the manager should have been aware they had a catering order and ready to bring it out. We informed him we were going to call his district manager and he said we should do that. Obviously there is a severe problem and it starts with the managers. On top of it all we received 8 fortune cookies for 36 people, I guess they can't count either. Panda Express definitely has made our sons Graduation Party even more difficult and Memorable for the future. We contacted customer service 4 days ago and are awaiting a response. Be very careful what you order Had Beijing "beef". It's 95% crusty stuff and possibly has been near beef at one point. Feels like a mouthful of gooey crunchy potato chips with sugar syrup with zero taste of meat. It's also very chewy.
