I also get the cream cheese wontons and they NEVER disappoint, I also get the fried wonton triangles and sometimes I get their fried dumplings and I've also tried their crispy shrimp, they have never disappointed me yet. Our server had a similar demeanor: kind, but mostly absent. He didn't seem very familiar with the menu, couldn't offer any solid recommendations, and felt a bit cold or perhaps just inexperienced. Now, the highlight--the food. While it wasn't CA-level sushi, it was definitely the best I've had in TX. The quality and taste of the dishes were great. That said, it was disappointing not to receive basic serving essentials that typically accompany a sushi meal, including wasabi, ginger, and other small but important touches were missing. The ambience also fell flat and could use a refresh to better match the quality of the food. I share this feedback not to discourage, but to offer insight.
