The total was around $12+, and I had trouble understanding the cashier when she asked for a donation -- the area was dark and loud, and after a few attempts she just moved on. I took the food home, and that's where things really went downhill. Everything was extremely oily -- to the point where it was honestly unappetizing. I cook often and never see food swimming in oil like that, and I doubt it was a healthy kind. The flavors weren't terrible, but they weren't good either, and the greasiness completely ruined it for me. Bad experience at this location. The cashier lady working did not give me a tray or anything when giving me my food to eat there, she said they don't have any.. The bottom of the plate was way too hot to carry plus I ordered extra side orders and sauces and couldn't carry everything, so I told her no problem about the trays but I asked her to bag it for me instead, she threw the bag at me on the counter and said I'm not bagging it for you if you ordered if for here that's why I asked you , and I told her yeah but I didn't know you didn't have any trays ? The lady served me had no smile on her face at all and when I gave her the gift card (because it didn't work after I swiped twice), I told them "last time when I used it, they had to put the number in manually and I don't know why?" Came to Panda for dinner and ordered a plate. Portion-wise I was pretty happy w the Teriyaki Chicken. Tender, juicy, & yummy! The broccoli beef was also good, didn't get enough beef but I guess the chicken made up for it. However, the chow mein was not so good today. It lacked flavor drastically and tasted like I was eating nothing, no flavor at all despite how it looked. I was disappointed seeing how greasy it looked knowing the grease wasn't worth the taste. This particular location is inside the food court at the Oaks Mall. Its an ok place to get an inexpensive meal while your shopping there. I was there around noon on a weekday. Because it was prime lunch time, you would have expected all of the entree selections to be out in plentiful supply. At least half of them just had a tiny bit left, which is not very appetizing to look at and doesn't really tempt you to want to order from that. What I found most annoying was that, even though I was dining in, they don't offer any trays to carry your food to your table as is typically done at other Panda Express locations. Was at the mall and decided to give Panda Express another try. Why not? I got teriyaki chicken and steamed veggies with rice. I was happy they had brown rice as an option and the portion they gave me was huge. Staff was friendly and polite, and the location was clean. Food was fresh. On the downside it's very cheap quality Chinese food and after eating a giant plate of it, within hours I felt starving again. I know that's a stereotype so I should not be surprised but other Chinese food doesn't do that to me so I was not expecting it here. I think the other reviews are a bit harsh considering this is very inexpensive, Food Court fast food. As food court restaurant choices go, everything here is fresh, and there are even some very healthy and low calorie choices. I've been here multiple times, as it's probay the healthiest option at the Oaks Mall. And as Panda Express and fast food goes, it's always delivered, and the staff has ways been friendly and helpful. Our grandson loves their breaded chicken with a sweet sauce, so we went after a movie. The food was their standard; the service was outright horrible. Management here is the problem, not the staff. No one quite knew what they were doing, and the young girl who helped us, clearly a new employee, was sent on several backroom errands in the midst of waiting on us. When we asked why we were waiting so long and people were going around us while we were half served, no one would help us. Many of the serving pans were empty, then what was replaced wasn't what people were waiting for. It was simply a management disaster. I went to The Oaks for a Hot Dog on a Stick. My niece saw Panda Express and she just had to have it. I personally don't care for it. Too much cabbage for my taste. The rice always seems undercooked (hard). Nicole helped us. She was very nice. She asked if we wanted a kids meal. I had no idea they even had that. My niece was very excited to have her own little personal meal. She had noodles and broccoli as her side. The meal included a chocolate chip cookie and a small fountain drink. She ate it all.
