I usually just order online then pick up but decided to go inside because I had my baby and didn't want to wait 20 minutes until order is complete. BAD IDEA. Lines are long. Apparently it's always long according to my husband. And deceiving because most people order 2-3 plates. Staff is slow at orders and doesn't listen well to what you want when they pass it off to the next person. You have to retell your order and make corrections. I noticed that passing the order to the main entree guy, even though supposedly written down in box didn't have a transfer of info. Food- not generous on portions. I got full chow mein and it was like sad. I'm used to them stuffing it, but if it's the girl, she skims on food. They also run out of things often, the good ones. And then it gets to the last ending of the food, it's all burnt and crap. Then the teriyaki chicken, the guy cut into 3 pieces and it was ALL RAW. So gross. He had to yell at the line cook to make sure to check temp. I felt a bit nervous because he was using the same knife to cut the chicken. That teriyaki chicken was going to be fed to my 1 year old. This location unfortunately is not good. Tiny parking lot which is always full. Online pickup process needs work. Food is very bland at this location, it's like they don't even try. Despite ordering online and arriving 10 minutes later I had to wait another 20 MINUTES for my entee to be made as the menu item was out right at lunch time (before noon even). I asked how long it would take and never received an answer. Fortunately I was not on a lunch break or I would have had to leave empty handed. Placed a delivery order and it was wrong, so I had to go in to get it fixed, already frustrating since I paid for delivery and still had to pick it up myself. When I got there, they made me wait in line just so they could "record it" as a replacement meal, and then tried to only give me half a bowl, even though the entire bowl was missing from my order. I had an overall amazing experience. The store was clean, Employees were greeting every customer with a smile on their face which felt extremely welcoming. You dont really get that kind of customer service anymore, even at high end restaurants , so I am very appreciative of the whole team, specially Lupe! I'm DONE with Panda Express. Over the years I've eaten there probabaly 2 or 3 times per year as their food is always mediocre. Since the Pandemic however, their service has really gone down with the quality of people they are hiring. Yes, I know it's hard to find and keep good people but with that pressure on Management.. maybe they are afraid to train them properly. My last two trips to this Panda Express has been more than frustrating with the methods and attitudes of their servers. Last night I was tired, hungry and didn't want to go home and cook. I live just a couple of miles from this Panda Express so I decided to stop in and get some items to take home. I ordered their new Sizzling Shrimp, Black Pepper Angus Steak, Kung Pao Chicken, Orange Chicken and Beef With Broccli. The young gal who served me acted bossy like she was a Manager and her passive/aggressive attitude was completely overbearing. She kept pushing me to order the Chow Mein and the Fried Rice. I told her very nicely, "I don't want those items because of the Carb's. Please put the extra items into those little Red Boxes." She pressed me again to take the Chow Mein and Fried Rice and I told her again I didn't want them and that I would gladly pay the "extra amount" for the items I ordered. She grabbed a Styrofoam Box and told me to go to the Cashier and she walked over to him while writing everything down on the box. I was the only customer in line at that time so there was NOT a bunch of customers in line at 8:22 p.m. A couple of minutes later she handed the box to the cashier who immediately bagged it and mumbled something. I told him very nicely: "I'm sorry, I don't know what you said." He mumbled something again and I said: "Where are the Red Boxes with the extra Entree's?" He asked me if I wanted to look inside and I opened the bag and saw only the Styrofoam box. I opened it halfway and tried to look but the plastic bag was in the way. I could see stuff piled on top of each other. I said: "I hope this isn't garbage!" He just laughed and asked me if I wanted anything else. "No," I pleasantly responded and as tired as I was, I just wanted to go home. He charged me $26.08. I live only a couple of miles from Panda Express and when I got home, the food was still warm (it's never HOT), but it looked like GARBAGE! Kung Pao Chicken is very spicy. It was mixed with the Beef With Broccli and the Steak while the Orange Chicken was also mixed with the Sizzling Shrimp and Pepper Steak with Kung Pao also mixed in. Just a darn mess which looked like some kind of weird Goulash! When the wife saw the mess she was so angery she wanted me to throw it out. I took a large plate from the cabinet and tried to sort things out but the taste of each item was truly ruined. What also irks me is I just turned 76. Yep, I'm OLD! But when I was young I worked at an A&W Root Beer and later a Dairy Queen and even a Bob's Big Boy to put myself through the University. I was also a Pilot in the Vietnam era and later earned a degree in Computer Science. I'm one of the guys who helped start this computer/tech revolution! But the Bossy server treated me like I was some kind of old dufus. It shows her upbringing by her parents and peers was highly inadequate and so is her training by the Management of Panda Express! I may be old but that computer between my ears is still firing on all cylinders! And it shows she has absolutely no respect for Seniors. In conclusion, I went to the Panda Express website and complained but they have a form and they were more worried about what I thought about their new Sizzling Shrimp entree than anything else. Oh, that and if I were "Non Binary," whatever that means! I'm a REAL MAN.. an ORIGINAL TEXAN and I don't NEED Panda Express which is NOT real Chinese food anyway. It's Americanized fast food to look like Chinese. I've been all over China. Taiwan, Tapei, Macao, Hong Kong, Beijing, Shanghai, etc. I know what real Chinese food tastes like!
