I had boycotted Panda for nearly 15 years after trying their food in South Central Los Angeles. The flavor was bland, and overpriced. Today was completely different! Their food has great flavor, my mouth is still burning from the spicy Kung Pao Chicken and I'm LOVING it, and they have a new Sesame Shrimp & Beef mix that is very flavorful, and their Orange Chicken is crispy and flavorful. Major improvement over the years. The restaurant is immaculate and still feels new. I would also like to give Rylee her props for being extremely professional, efficient & effective, caring and friendly. If you are a business owner or 'C' suiter; you'd better head hunt Rylee and put golden handcuffs on her so that she cannot afford to work elsewhere for less. If I had my own business; I would have hired her on the spot and given her a huge bonus to walk off her job and start working for me immediately. Great employees are a rare breed and they help you attract and retain new customers. I highly recommend Panda Express. read more

I've given this location multiple chances, and it's becoming a pattern at this point. Every time I order teriyaki chicken, I specifically ask for the teriyaki sauce--and somehow, it's still missing when I get my food. This has happened more than once, which makes it feel less like a simple mistake and more like a lack of attention to orders. The chicken without the sauce is dry and not what I paid for, and it's frustrating to get home and realize something so basic was skipped again. If you're going to offer a dish that depends on a sauce, it shouldn't be this hard to actually receive it--especially when the customer clearly asks for it. I'm not asking for anything extra, just what comes with the meal. Hopefully management tightens things up, because right now, it's unreliable. read more

Terrible customer service (Ashanti). Ordered online, my card was charged, but for some reason the order did not show up in the system. Drove to the restaurant and spoke with the "manager" Ashanti and explained the situation who had no interest in helping to rectify the situation beyond for me to call corporate. When informed her that corporate was closed, she insinuated that I was lying, so I actually pulled up the outgoing call to show her. Ashanti also told me she wasn't allowed to tell me the name of her manager lol. Yeah, not going back. The level of incompetence is astounding. read more

Went in there for some dinner the other night and there was two employees in uniform taking a break at one of the tables in the back and they were hysterically laughing and being obnoxious. It was like drunk people at a bar. They were disrupting the entire restaurant and it was very unprofessional and rude. When it was finally my turn to order one of them finally returned to work and started helping me with my order. They did such a terrible job packing my food in the box and barely gave me any food. So not only are they disrespectful to their work place they are also very bad at their job. One of the other female employees that was actually doing their job looked very annoyed with what was going on with those two. I know good help may be hard to find in Ridgecrest but I'd fire those two on the spot. Food was OK but the employees are what earned this establishment a 1 star review. read more

So I went for lunch very happy cuz I had had lunch there before and it seemed that everything was great and tasted fresh. Then I'm taking the family and there I saw old food soggy and lots of bowls empty when they opened. We walked out with sad faces. Don't do that. As a Manager from Costco presentation and freshness is the number one goal specially with fast food. Will never go there again maybe later in the day not at opening time. I wanted to express my thoughts on the professionalism of Rylee (spell?). She is outstanding! I was there picking up an order and she was assisting an elderly customer. A man walked up and demanded the bathroom code and when Rylee said very politely "one moment," he became obnoxious. Rylee handled it with professionalism and grace. She quickly assisted the man after helping the elderly customer even though he was very rude. She then came quickly to assist me. Every company needs an employee like Rylee. Surrounded by hot desert and a blazing sun, this Panda Express was very active on a weekday morning. As I walked in no one greeted me and I noticed the food was not looking very fresh. It had been sitting out for a while. We asked for our Sesame Chick-fil-A to be made fresh and honestly we should have asked for everything else to be made fresh as well. The food was barely warm and not the greatest. The freshly made Sesame Chicken was the best tasting item amongst the rest of the Chinese food. Used app for P/U order, that worked fine. However P/U process was kinda broken. The orders were not in the P/U area. Had to asked someone, they asked my name, gave them my last name. We usually like this restaurant, but we went in one night about 9...my suggestion DON'T.... The food looked to have been sitting for awhile. We stood there for a solid 5 minutes, yes the workers did acknowledge us with a brief we will be with you three different times, this is the only reason they get 2 stars not one. However, they finished their orders and IMMEDIATELY started another order instead of taking care of the customers standing right there. It had been a long day, I had worked overtime and I was actually hangry by that time so instead of being rude and telling them what I thought I just left....I will have to let this experience settle a little before I venture back that way but I will make sure that I don't go inside this place after 8 as I have discovered the hard way I won't get served...the drive thru or a call in order is the only way I will get service at that time....I wish this hadn't turned out so bad. Went again tonight after not visiting since late last year, same day as the Beijing Beef incident in the original post. Dinner was pretty good, shrimp was cooked well and was very tasty. White rice was white rice, which is fine, but definitely needed some sauce. Service was good too. So why the one star? Because when we were leaving, I noticed a dark spot under my drink's lid. Lifting it up, I saw there was a small, brown, dead bug in the little divot for the buttons on the lid. I looked down and saw two more bugs on the inside of my glass. The person I was eating with checked their glass, only to see a bug on the inside of it. I don't think I, as a local, will ever be going there again. The food was well done, but the thought of the tiny brown bugs in my drink will haunt me for the next week. read more

I picked up a drive through order, so my stars are not related to the building or people. I picked up a bowl of super greens with green bean chicken. My bowl literally had three tiny chunks of meat. Initially wasn't going to comment anything, because overall it tasted good, even with barely any meat. But I decided to give it a two star rating because I ended up with food poisoning. It's Americanized Chinese food and it's kinda greasy. Best dish there is probably string beans with chicken and chow mein. Some veggie dishes are good too. Personally it's not better than China Lake Buffet, which is more authentic Chinese food and you get more food for your money than Panda. Panda Express gives you smaller portions for $10 for a 2 entree plate. But it depends on your taste and mood. read more

The Food was OK, but probably won't be back. Chow Mein. It was actually edible for once. It was soft and bland just the way I like it. It wasn't too oily or too salty. I felt like the serving was kind of small though. Crispy Almond Chicken Breast. My husband thought it was too dry and overcooked, but I thought it was good. Kung Pao Chicken. This was supposed to be my favorite dish. I was expecting plump pieces of chicken and veggies. The taste was there, but there was not enough meat or veggies. I felt like I was eating mostly peanuts. The meat was literally cut so small that it was the size of the peanuts. I also found a piece of cartilage in my food. This dish did not meet expectations and left a lot to be desired. Went by the Ridgecrest Panda Express drive-thru on a Thursday, mid-afternoon. There was a line but it was flowing pretty quickly. I do wish the menu board was posted BEFORE the order speaker/screen (first time there). I was very hungry and (since I am a LG-type guy) ordered a couple of items.
