Went with a group of people. Food service was good and most of the food was good as well. One of our orders were messed up but was fixed quickly. The main complaint was from the pad thai because it didn't taste like pad thai and the noodles were overcooked. Today China Express advertised a lunch combo plate on Facebook for $14.99 from 11:30am to 1:00 pm only. After taking the order and waiting for the food to be cooked, the cashier returned to charge for the food. Their card reader stopped working and they could only accept cash. So they lost a sale, and lost two customers that buy a lot of Wor Wonton Soup during cold winter months. A competent owner/manager would have given the food for free since it was their fault for not being able process cards because they did not properly maintain their equipment. Businesses can use those losses as a tax write off. Bad business decision. Never punish your customers for your own failures. Also, always charge for the order immediately to ensure that you can process the payment before you cook the order and cannot receive payment and waste a customer's time waiting for the food to be cooked, and having to walk out empty handed. This way if your equipment does not work, the customer does waste their precious time waiting for nothing. read more

We ordered several dishes and we enjoyed each one. When I ordered I was informed my order would take about an hour to deliver. We had no problem waiting that long. When we received our order it was missing an item but the restaurant corrected their error by immediately sending out the missing item for delivery. Ordered f ood here over a year ago, wasn't impressed so didn't come back until last week, trying to give it another try, my mistake. I do want them to be successful, so I'll give some advice on how they can improve and hope they'll read it. I ordered 4 dishes below. 1) Wor Wonton soup: the soup tasted like vegetable water and I have no idea what they stuff the wonton with but tasted like soy bean. The wor wonton should be stuffed with grounded pork, shrimp and black ear mushroom cook in chicken broth. You can have baby bak choy outside and skip the rest of the ingredient if you want to save money. 2) Home Pan fried noodle: this is one of my favorite dish yet they ruin it. The sauce was dark and watery, the broccoli was over cooked and dark looking, and the fried noodle was kind of stale. This is how it should be: For noodle, don't use the chow mein noodle because it's too big. It should be the thin egg noodle. The broccoli should be boiled in water (with a small about of salt) to keep it's green color but need to take it out quickly. If you want to save time, boil the cabbage first, then add in the broccoli when the cabbage is cooked. For the sauce, don't use oyster sauce but use chicken powder. Need to add more starch powder to thicken the sauce. 3) Chow mein: even the chow mein didn't cook right because it just didn't smell nice because they just had soy sauce. I had to stir fried sliced onion until it's cook, then add in the chow mein so it smell better. I added a little sugar because all I could taste was the soy sauce. 4) Pad Kee Mao: I told my husband there was a Thai dish and he was like "which one"? He was eating it. If you can't tell the dish you are eating is Thai food, I don't know what to say. It just smelled like Chinese food, not Thai. I don't cook Thai food so I can't give much suggestion here but at least put a little more basil in it so it doesn't smell like Chinese food. I really hope the cook read this and make some modification/improvement to their dishes. You can't be lazy when cooking food for people because not only people won't come back, others won't come to try it out. read more

My Yelp search for dinner in Ridgecrest guided us here. The service staff were friendly, the Thai Tea was very good and our choices of sesame chicken and silver noodles stir fried were pretty decent. In terms of food - this place is one of the top in R/C! Their lunch buffet is always hot, fresh, and extremely fast. I have been in and out of there (walk in, to go buffet at lunch) in less than 3 minutes before. Their plates are abundant and the food is always super delicious! I would highly recommend this place to anyone in R/C! Outside of the food part, the owners are very involved in the community. The owners sponsored the local High School Baseball program and were one of the first businesses to do so this year. Their willingness to support local community sports programs in very indicative of the character of the business owners. Small things like their sponsorship in our small community mean a lot to our student athletes and our sports programs. BEWARE Lies about ingredients in their food. I asked if the veggies had butter or animal product and the waitress stated just oil. I believed her and consumed it hours later, I am sick. I could have made a whole meal out of just the rice alone. The fried dumplings were crisp and flavor was nice. Rice omitted. Yes the restaurant was busy, but not so busy that the server didnt have time to review the ticket to make sure everything was received. We had to remind the server we never received rice. She. never offered to adjust the ticket. It's a bummer we got Ala carte items for entree prices. The food here is so good! I love their curries, kung pao chicken, and jalapeno chicken. My son says they have the best orange chicken. And now they have online ordering available! Great Chinese food and the price is not that bad if you go during lunch. It is always fresh. Their service is quick and friendly. Their portions are always more than what I can eat in one seating so I save some for dinner and again it still taste fresh even after I reheat it. Their yogurt/ice cream is not bad either. Visiting out of town on Friday before President's Day. It's a Chinese/Thai buffet served cafeteria style, but was not slow. Salad, fruit & dessert are self-serve. Everything looked & tasted nice. The chicken dishes (green Thai curry, orange, and fried) stood out. Even one plate is enough. They have (rite-aid quality) ice cream & yogurt you can buy. Servers are noticeably more helpful/courteous than in most Chinese food buffets. Parking is a little tight, so pack into one car. Keep up the great work. read more
