Beef roll. Ok. But kind of pricey
    Kim B.

Quite disappointed. The first time I tried it, the food was great. But the second I tried just 2 days later, the flavor was less, and the third time I tried the same dish, no flavor. Below were dishes I have tried 1- house tossed noodle. First tried it was the best noodle I had. Great flavor (5 stars). Sauce was enough to coated the noodle and even extra (I added a good amount of noodle from the beef soup and still get good flavor). Tried it again 2 days later, there wasn't enough sauce to coated the noodle but still some flavor (3 stars). Quite disappointed that only 2 days apart and yet the taste already not consistent. A few wks later I ordered it again and it gets 1 star. It had a lot of oil to coated the noodle but barely any flavor. No more - shrimp dumplings: I thought it was authentic, just pricy - fried rice: tried twice and both time were good. Strong 4 stars - chow mein: tried twice and flavor was consistent. 4 stars - beef stew soup: this is depend. It has good flavor, good for when you are sick. Broth was great. The best in town. But I won't order again because too much noodle but only a few pieces of meet and maybe one piece of vegetables. They should give less noodle but add veggies like daikon which other restaurants often use. It won't change the flavor but add substance - zhajiang noodle: 1 star. they should remove this dish. Very different to each. I think they used grounded black bean. It was bitter and salty. Barely any meat and the meat was hard. I am Asian yet I have a hard time eating it. - shrimp with honey walnut: 5 stars. I was good and good amount of shrimp.

Savory scallion pancakes with a delicious dipping sauce!

Sooo good! We loved all of the dishes we tried. The servers were friendly & accommodating. The restaurant is well decorated with a full bar and plenty of seating, This was such an enjoyable dining experience. Highly recommend getting: Scallion Pancake, Dan Dan Noodles, Soup Dumplings, Fried Rice, & Kung Pao Chicken.

    Soup dumplings were delicious

New dumpling house is pretty good. We had the soup dumplings, spicy chili oil wonton, house noodles spicy, and sesame balls. Dumplings were great with good flavor. The noodles were good but a little too spicy for me. I'm excited to try everything on their menu. Ambience is loud and busy and there is a full bar with tvs to watch the games. Service was good but a little slow as expected for a new restaurant in Ridgecrest. All in all, would recommend this place.

Amazing food, clean and upscale decor, nice presentation, great service, skilled bartender.. This new restaurant is a must if you're visiting Ridgecrest or maybe it'll be your new weekly dinner spot.

    Vegetable noodle soup, the best!!

On our drive back to California from Reno, I was seriously craving sushi. I searched along our…read moreroute and Tokyo House Japanese Restaurant popped up on both Google and Yelp with decent reviews, so my husband and I decided to give it a try. We ordered a few sushi rolls, a rice plate with beef and vegetables, and chicken potstickers. I'll start with the positives: the woman who took our order over the phone was very kind and professional, and our food was ready right on time when we arrived. The restaurant itself was also very clean, which we appreciated. We took everything to go since we were continuing our road trip. Unfortunately, once we started eating, we were really disappointed. While the pricing was reasonable, the food quality just didn't match the reviews. The beef had almost no flavor, the rice was bland, and the overall dish felt very under-seasoned. The sushi was simply okay not terrible, but not something I'd go out of my way for. The biggest letdown, though, was the chicken potstickers. They were burned on the outside and when we opened them up, there was barely any filling inside. They tasted dry and overcooked, which was really disappointing. It wasn't a horrible experience overall, but definitely not memorable in a good way. Would I come back? No. Would I recommend it? Probably not. The service and cleanliness were solid, but when it comes to Japanese food, flavor and execution matter most and unfortunately, this just didn't deliver for us.

The staff had my order ready right on time, which made the pickup quick and easy. I tried the Thai tea boba first, and that's when I knew this place was going to be good. When the milk tea is made right, you can tell the food will be just as good. The Thai tea was honestly one of the best I've had. Coming from someone who's tried Thai tea all over Los Angeles, this definitely matched that level. Then I tried the chicken katsudon, and it instantly became comfort food for me. It was flavorful, fresh, and so satisfying. This is easily one of the best comfort food spots I've found in Ridgecrest, and it truly reminds me of the quality restaurants back in LA County. Highly recommend -- I'll definitely be coming back!

It definitely is more of a hole in the wall vibe, which to me usually is a sign of good food. There was a steady flow of people who came in to order after us so seems like a pretty popular spot. We got the ube milk drink with boba. Had a nice amount of ube paste on the cup as you can see, they did not skimp out on it! Nice milky ube flavor after mixing. We ordered the pork lumpia, chicken pancit and lechonsilog (garlic rice plate). Everything was made to order so it was nice and fresh! Lumpia were nice and crispy, good pork flavor and on the salty side but paired well with the sweet chili sauce. The chicken and veggie pancit was freshly off the wok, even 10-15 mins into the meal it was still hot! It also was on the salty side with peppery flavor. The lechon was crunchy and cut into nice 1-2 bite pieces. The garlic rice tasted more like pepper than garlic to me, wish it had a little more garlic flavor. Overall the food was just a bit on the salty/peppery side for me, but otherwise seemed like a good place for classic Filipino food. Their menu also had other things like pho, katsu, loco moco so has different options for everyone!

The food was fresh and hot and they had shrimp at least 5 ways and I like that the fish was salmon. I tried a small bit of many things and everything was good. They gave me a pot of hot tea and that was good too. The service is very friendly and they want to make sure that you enjoy your meal. They have a salad bar and also small sushi selection which is fine as all their hot Chinese food is really good. I am not a dessert person but I tried their mango jello, real ice cream and hot apple strudel. They were all tasty. I was impressed with the quality of meat. They have orange chicken, chicken teriyaki skewers, broccoli beef, kung pao chicken, and my favorite was the BBQ pork ribs. I enjoyed my visit. Going back soon.

We ate here and at Ale's steakhouse across town and they are very similar to me in terms of value,…read morethough they do differ. First, the good. It's nice that there is a restaurant in town with fresh fish. Our server was awesome. We were going to a tiki themed place (which you should 100% try to find if you are in town) afterwards and the server shared some cool info about it when we mentioned it. I ordered fish and chips, against my better judgement, and it was just OK. I'm a fan of beer batter that builds up more than a thin crust on the fish, and this wasn't that. On top of that, the cod was a little over cooked (a bit of a theme for the other Ale's as well). That said, the flavor profile was good and their tartar sauce was on point. I had the option for seasoned fries or steak fries and opted for the steak fries to save some sodium intake. I'd probably shorten my life slightly and get the seasoned fries next time. My wife had a salad that was very similar to the other Ale's -- lots of iceberg lettuce and overcooked chicken. We also had the clam chowder, which had a good consistency but was just a touch fishy. I still enjoyed it, though. They have a pretty good selection of beer and other drinks, as well. The decor is informal and overall I liked the place. Between the two Ale's I'd probably give a slight nod to the original, but they are very similar restaurants other than the focus on seafood here.
