First off, I myself worked as a lead and an assistant manager at a Panda Express in a different location so I understand the company's views very well. This panda however I would rate negative stars and would absolutely not recommend. I got my wife chowmein and orange chicken. After eating here she got severe food poisoning. (Most likely from the orange chicken). She has been crippled over in pain, has to take antibiotics for the food poisoning, and the doctor recommends she not eat any solids for a few days until she finishes the antibiotics and her pain subsides. She had not eaten anything else so yes the severe food poisoning was because of the food here. Go at your own risk I would not recommend this place though. read more

We ordered our food online and had it delivered to our hotel. When the food arrived, it was super hot and smelled amazing! We had so much food we weren't able to finish it all. We got orange chicken, fried rice, chow main noodles, and steamed broccoli and it was all hot and delicious! 10/10 definitely would recommend! read more

I'd like to start off by saying that I have been to many many different Panda Express locations. This has to be the worst one. Been here a few times since recently moving to this area. 1. Bad customer service 2. Small skimpy portions - like when u get a side of anything in a box it's always half way full and not all the way. Same thing with the to go plates/boxes. Even though I'm paying $ for a full size side. Rip off! 3. The food tastes different. Not in a good way. 4. Chow main from my experience had mostly noodles and very little to almost none veggies. 5. They tend to close 30 mins early and won't make anything you want from the menu and will only serve what ever they have left. Please keep in mind they do this 30 mins prior to their closing time. I'm not sure why both google search and their door shows they close at 930 pm when they were closed/locked doors by 850 pm the other night. By that time they were also not serving most of their food items. You approach the drive-thru and they state, "currently we are only serving these items..." If you do not close till 930 pm, I expect full service till 930 pm. The staff is unprofessional and argumentative. When asked a question with regards to why they don't have full menu options available, their response was given with an attitude. I asked, "Don't you close at 930?" and the response what, "yeah so what are you implying?" The service here is always unpleasant. If you have a staff full of people who take no pride in their work or don't want to work, consider hiring new staff or retraining your staff on customer service. The food is also average at best. Panda Express is a "fast food" style Chinese restaurant and I'm a fan. I would consider Panda Express to be the Qdoba of Chinese food places. Anyway, I got the plate meal (2 entrees and 1 side). It's around 7 or 8 dollars. The serving sizes are quite large. I highly recommend the orange chicken and the noodles. On this particular day, the ice machine was broken and the pops were all flat. We were not told about this while ordering, so we paid around $5 for our 2 drinks. read more

I'm basing my review off of the people that work there and the food that they make. I've never once had a problem with either. I've gone a few times just before closing and they had limited items available, but I've had the same to happen at the numerous Panda Express' I've eaten at across the country. The only reason I'm deducting a star is due to the wait time in the drive thru. If you take the order, it should be made immediately... not after payment. The management is also new, so I'm sure this will get ironed out in time and I'll update my review. Due to Panda having a drive-thru, people expect them to have all dishes available all the time. That's not, should it be, the case. I heard a nasty woman going off on the lady while ordering about not having a dish DURING A SNOW STORM when their staff was limited sure to the roads. I felt so bad for the girl taking the order and apologized on the horrible woman's behalf. If you go to nearly any of the other Chinese establishments in town, you have to wait for your food to be created or you get it from a buffet line. It's good, fast, hot food that's not yet another burger or chicken place and I'm so thankful Richmond has it now. The years I lived here after being in California made me long for Panda. When I visited and found out they had just opened shop, I was so, so happy and it made my decision to move back that much easier. read more

Litteraly the worst we came 30 minutes before close which we normally don't do but 30 minutes seems like ample time before a fast food place closes for them to be making food. I understand not making food 10 minutes before, sure. They only had 3 options left none of which I'd ever had or wanted. Well.. where to start, Panda Express has a special (Family Meal) that you can only order on their App. After spending 20 mins discussing the order and trying to place it, the app wouldn't work, it would just spin and spin with no success placing the order. Once we arrived at Panda we decided that since the app wouldn't work that we would wait in the drive thru (long) line and hopefully they would take our order since the app wouldn't accept the special. To no avail, the lady informed us if the app wouldn't accept the order on that special that there wasn't anything she could do. I stopped by on a Friday half hour before close. The pickings were slim. I had general tso and some other kind of chicken with red bell peppers and onions plus fried rice and an egg roll. Tonight was our first and last trip to Panda Express. The restaurant was clean and a nice selection to choose from, although there were several empty dishes on the serving line. Our problem - the food was cold. My husband used to be a health inspector and he said it sure was 140 degrees. When I told someone that their heat/steam table wasn't working he said he would pass that along. When I saw him again, he said the assistant manager would check it out. I asked how his food was and he said "it isn't as warm as I would like it to be." I said this was going to be our only time and his response was "that's too bad." read more

I made a visit to Panda Express on 09/23/18. I ordered the Beijing Beef bigger plate. I went through the drive thru. When I got home I discovered that the employee gave me the wrong order. I called back up to the store and explained the situation. The employee stated that I could come back and get my order. However, I told the employee that I could not come back until another day since I had work. I requested store credit and the employee got an attitude and hung up the phone on me. I went to Panda Express last night 4-2-18 at approx. 530pm. I ordered honey walnut shrimp, white rice and cream cheese rangoons. The young lady asked if I wanted any sauce, I replied I wanted sweet and sour sauce. She informed me when I was ordering my food that they were out of white rice...it's Chinese, people. How are they running out of white rice???!!! I agreed to substitute fried rice instead. I got up to the pick up window and the young lady informed me they were also out of sweet and sour sauce and it would be 10 minutes before it could be made. I declined to wait...again, they only serve Chinese food. My rangoons were cooked properly this time but were very bland. Not much flavor at all. The walnut shrimp was tasty but the portion was VERY skimpy. The fried rice was the winner in this non chicken dinner. It was quite tasty. I tried Panda Express again because I was comp'd my cost by the manager with a gift card. However, I cannot say I was any more impressed than my last visit. I suspect if this place does not get it together, there will soon be some other food establishment in their building. read more

Pesonality of the staff is the first thing I noticed when entering and being greeted. Each one of them made eye contact when they were facing the customers at the counter and each one had a genuine smile on their face. Food was fantastic, no skimpy portions. Food temperature was hot, just the way I like it, and seasoned just right. I had the orange chicken and fried rice. I am a Senior , (age 67), and I ordered the Kids size. One of the reasons I am a big fan, and will return, is that they didn't restrict the age for ordering the smaller size. I hate to waste food and usually the adult portions are way too much for just me. The only problem I can find with Panda Express is that they are so far away from where I live in Jackson County. It takes me about an hour and a half to get to Richmond, and Panda Express will definitely influence my decision as to whether or not to drive all that way for something, since I can stop for lunch/dinner at Panda Express while there. read more

Horrible experience with this location. When I arrived at the drive-thru (Saturday night at 8pm), there were 3 cars ahead of me placing their orders. I waited over 10 minutes to get up to the menu board to place my order (two, two entrée/one side orders). After another 10 minutes, the line slowly crawled forward, and there was only one car in front of me. This person waited for almost 12 minutes after paying for her food for the staff to hand her the order. When I pulled up to the window, I immediately asked the cashier if my two orders were ready, and was informed that only one of the orders was ready. I told her that I had waited in drive-thru for over 30 minutes already, and if the food was not ready, I was leaving. My time would have been better spent going to order take-out at an actual sit-down restaurant, such as Casa Fiesta or Thai Smile, and probably would have spent the same amount of money. This is my first visit and is also my last visit. If you want a quick meal, avoid this place and head down the road to Culvers, Chick-fil-A, etc... read more
