My tasteless under cooked lomein noodles and tasteless fried rice. This was definitely not worth $8.60 + my water downed drink.
Michael M.

5-8-22 The food is over priced tasteless crap. I had the lomein noodles which had no taste and the noodles were not cooked enough. I also had the fried rice and that was tasteless as well. The only good thing was the broccoli as it had a some what pleasant taste with garlic. I had to put several packets of soy sauce and sweet and sour sauce on my food to at least give it some taste. I got the Plate for $8.60 + the soda. I told the people cooking the food that the food was tasteless but they did nothing about it. The only person that helped was the young man taking the order. The soda machine root beer does not work and the Cherry Coke was very diluted. The whole time I was here the machine was not fixed. I will spread the word about this place to avoid at all costs. People reading this skip this place and go to Big Panda Express on McKinley in Mishawaka, IN or any other place that serves Chinese food. The food has a good taste at Big Panda Express and it's a hell of a lot cheaper than the crap they serve at Panda Express.

Build Your Own Bowl - 1 Full Side Crispy Almond Chicken Fried Rice

After work yesterday my husband brought Panda Express home. My husband and I both got the bowls, which come with a entree and a side. I got the crispy almond chicken with fried rice and I also got some cream cheese wontons. I would didn't get a chancs to be there for the transaction but my husand said the employees were friendly. I enjoyes my food and will most likelg request my husband to bring takeout back from them again very soon.

The roof is leaking...the corner you see is the start of the food buffet they serve from.

Update in response to the rep from Panda Express: Was in the parking lot of the Meijer tonight and drove by the Panda...it clearly still had a leak and the little orange "Warning" triangle was visible from outside, so apparently they didn't fix it, LOL. Some assurance from the owner - clearly their business practices are similar to their roof, leaky and don't hold up for ishhhhhh. Well, this was a pretty terrible Panda experience. What a dump - located in the Meijer parking lot with a line around the building, maybe there just aren't better options nearby? Either way, I went in and got my usual order - first thing I noticed out of place was the water all over the floor? I look up and realize the roof is leaking about 3 feet from the sneeze guard covering the rice and chow mein. Well, that makes me feel like this is a super clean establishment. I get my food and sit down, go figure there isn't a clean table anywhere. I sit down at the cleanest of them where there's a used toothpick...great. Note to self, I won't be back to this Panda, apparently everyone else already knows it's garbage too, but maybe management will finally do something about how bad it is. Pandas aren't like this elsewhere - they take pride in their resturant

Manager literally hung on me, twice, when I called to voice a concern over the fact that my order was missing food

You'll have a better meal at home drowning frozen chicken nuggets in maple syrup and soy sauce.

It was lunchtime in July 2026 and my boyfriend was surprised to learn that I had never been inside…read moreof a Portillo's before (I once got a shake at their drive-thru about a year ago though). So our lunch location was quickly chosen and we went in. Immediately, I was surrounded by vintage Americana memorabilia, reminiscent of a Route 66 diner, in a VERY large space. The shock of the decor was intense yet very exciting! So if you are unaware, this location is one of 107 Portillo's around the US and is a fast-casual hot dog restaurant chain based founded in 1963 out of Chicago. This location opened in 2018 and is one of 6 locations in Indiana. The food is like Five Guys if it specialized in hot dogs instead of burgers and if it went for a maximalist decor concept instead. For lunch, my bf and I ordered: 2 Chicago dogs $3.99 each, 1 Char'diniera dog $4.99 (a pepper and cheese stuffed hot dog), 1 side salad $5.89, and 1 order of onion rings $3.89. The prices are not too bad in my opinion! It took about 5ish minutes for our order to be ready. I thought the meat and bun were of quality and the salad was generous with cheese. My bf loved the limited-time-only Char'diniera hot dog and thought it was one of the best fast food hot dogs he had ever had! High praise indeed haha! Personally, I've had better Chicago style dogs but enjoyed Portillo's version very much. Neither of us had the calorie budget for one of their cake milkshakes - where they put AN ENTIRE SLICE OF CAKE INTO A MILKSHAKE. And yes, it is an incredibly gluttonous 1500 calories. RIP to whomever gets one of these more than once! Overall, I had a good time and a pleasant experience and I will definitely have Portillo's again.

The staff were not friendly or able to well describe the food we almost ordered a BOX of fries for $20. Vs the Large fries that was plenty for us. We both found ourselves catching glaring looks from the staff that was awkward . It feels like we're just in the way, 'can you move so I can clean that table.' The beef and sausage bowls were ok, a bit of a soup and the beef was gritty. The sausage was fantastic! The fries were too salty for my bride, but I liked them and the cheese sauce was good. The Chocolate shake was tasty ! Overall not sure I'm heading back, but give it a try maybe your experience will be better.

We got some soup before we left and it's probably the best beef noodle soup I've had. I highly recommend stopping by and enjoying a dog or two. The slaw dog and Reuben dog were a smash hit and I can't wait to try some of the others soon.

Located only a mile from my new Indiana home, my partner and I had a filling lunch here on a busy Saturday afternoon in September 2026. The decor is the opposite of minimal - there's a LOT of hockey memorabilia all around. My partner has eaten here a few times before while this was my first visit. I had a fun time looking around while we waited for our food. We ordered: 2 Coney Specials, 1 Sonoran dog, 1 Nashville Hot Dog, 1 order of onion rings, 1 order of french fries, and 1 Coke Zero. It cost about $37. It was delivered to our table after about 5ish minutes by a very friendly server. The fries were good but basic but my boyfriend loved their large onion rings. The coney special dogs are tasty and worth it but boyfriend said he wouldn't order the expensive Sonoran dog again. Was it the best food I have ever had? Absolutely not. But was it made with love from a dedicated staff and also very locally owned? Yes! I will happily add Coney Express to the list of restaurants I'll continue to visit from time to time.
