We were shorted on our order and when I called the store to report the oversight the person answering the phone pretended not to be able to hear me. I called several times from my phone and several more times from my husbands' phone. Each time I was hung up on. Very disappointed, we have patronized Panda Express for quite awhile and we're happy to have the Middletown location open. Sorry this was the way they choose to handle a simple oversight. read more

Food is usually good, not always but still edible. The rice is really bland a lot, but when you mix ur other sides in ur good. The staff are okay, not mean but not friendly. The inside is clean most of the time, it does get busy a lot. The parking sucks because it's right by chipotle but other than that it's a pretty good place to get fast Americanized Chinese cuisine. read more

Some of the flavors are passable but the rice is always hard and dry. Why bother? I find I enjoy it more if I just get the chicken in a little side order without the rice... I know that sounds strange, but the races so disappointing it undermines the meal. read more

I really hate giving bad reviews but if I would have read this review before going I would have chosen a different place to eat.. this was my first time going to a Panda Express and it was so gross. I got "the bigger plate" so I did fried rice, sweet chicken, sesame chicken and an egg roll. It was all so bad nothing was edible and I'm not picky at all. I mean it's fast food so you can really expect much , the staff are very friendly and excited to welcome the patrons as they enter the restaurant. Food is hit or miss depending on if the dish you order just came out right as you ordered it . So try your best to get it fresh I love Asian food so this is a go to occasionally if I just so happen to see one in a strip mall or food court . I hadn't been to Panda Express since before the pandemic. This place has completely changed for the worst. I'll start with the rude woman who was waiting on people today (Sunday, August 22nd). She is unnecessarily abrasive and gives off a very angry and impatient vibe. I assume she's the manager which makes this even worse... strike one. Then let's move on to portions. I ordered a plate with Honey Walnut Shrimp and Crispy Almond Chicken as my entrees and Fried Rice as my side. First of all, these cheapskates put the entrees in the little teeny spots on the top of the divided plate that are actually designed for sides and they give you pounds of rice where the entrees are supposed to go, so I barely got any chicken and shrimp and way too much rice. On top of that, they charge extra for the honey walnut shrimp (all five tiny little pieces they give you)... strike two. Finally let's move on to taste... there was none. The honey walnut shrimp used to be my favorite dish at Panda Express. It tasted great and the little candied walnuts within the dish were so tasty. Now, the shrimp, the candied walnuts, the chicken, and the rice literally tasted like NOTHING. It was probably old and they were cutting corners by serving it. I tried to add soy sauce to the rice to make it actually taste like something and the soy sauce was flavorless too... strike three. Three strikes in one day and you're out Panda Express. If this pathetic excuse for a restaurant is still around in a year, I'll be incredibly surprised. Save yourself some money, disappointment, and frustration by avoiding this place. read more

My man and I stopped in here for a quick lunch before getting on the road to head home. The only Panda Express we had in our area closed down years ago so I was excited to see this one. Plus, it got me out of eating a fast food burger - I just wasn't in the mood for one of those. Anyway, the store was clean, the service was just fine and the food was good. This Panda Express is in a new part of a shopping center that appears to be expanding. Usually, I'm wary about a new place but this Panda has had about half a year under its belt and ample time to iron out the kinks. Overall impression: - Tables were clean. - All entrees were available and steam trays were all nearly full and ready. - Server was quick and efficient, and generous when adding food portions. If they keep up the good work and don't let things slide, I'll be back the next time I travel through Middletown. read more

I haven't had Panda Express in a few years. It's own location with dining will always separate this from say the mall or cafeteria. The server was nice. I arrived just before noon and they were out of the mixed vegetables. There wasn't a line as I suppose the lunch rush had already entered and was heading out. While I waited I tasted the other options and the orange chicken was better than I remembered. The beef and broccoli was good! The noodles were good. Everything was good. 1 entree with 2 sides with a drink about $7-$8. Btw the bathroom is single use. Extremely clean and favorable to the restaurants decor. read more

Had a terrible drive thru experience here today. The person who took my order was very rude. I was asked to pull up to wait for my food. After 15 mins, the wrong order was brought out. Another 10 minutes and my order finally came out. Don't they have the food pre-made!?They forgot to include napkins or utensils so I had to go inside anyways.. the food was soggy to top it all off. Panda Express has got to be my favorite Chinese Restaurant! I love the fresh selection they have and it all just looks so good. Food was absolutely terrible. I ordered honey walnut shrimp.which was passable and had no walnuts in it, fried rice which they gave me some dried white rice instead, mixed vegetables which were old and had no flavor. The broccoli was yellow. And two spring rolls which had absolutely no flavor. I went there because I'm handicapped and need the drive through so I thought I would try it. It's not like I can bring the food back and tell show them how bad it looked. It wasn't cheap either. Never again which is,sad because the place is new and I live five minutes from there . read more

The manager is very rude. On several occasions I have seen her speak rudely to her employees. Then she had to take my order twice because she was talking into her headset. She started to scoop the wrong entree and was rude when I stopped her. She argued that's what I said. Obviously she wasn't listening. I won't be back. If you work under her...get another job. Was suppose to open at 11, doors weren't even unlocked until 10 after. They opened the doors and let me stand in the front without a greeting or anything for another 5 mins. After finally being greeted I was told their systems were down for at least another 10 mins. I waited 15 more mins without anyone checking on me. When I tried to get someone's attention I was ignored. I will never go back to another Panda Express and will be having my crew of guys from my entire job boycott this store. This place is awesome! The orange chicken is the star of the show. I ordered with Shanghai angus steak. The orange chicken was crispy and has one of the most delicious, slightly spicy sauces. The steak was tender and well cooked. Ordered with 1/2 brown rice and 1/2 veggies. The veggies were cooked fresh and made to perfection - cooked just enough but crunchy/fresh. Staff was wonderful. Prices reasonable. I'll definitely return, and often! read more

Been to Panda in Middletown twice now. Pretty bad both times... First time was about 9pm. Food was dried up and we didn't really think they wanted to make any fresh food.... Kids trying to get out of work ASAP.... The second time was during dinner rush and the food was "fresh" but still not good at all. Way to expensive for the quality they serve. Very poor service, food portions very small for a typical Panda Express, more than half of the entrees sold out, with no expected time for replenishment. One cook who was overwhelmed, one server with a bad attitude and one other worker eating in the dining area, all of this equals poor customer service. Got mine to go, literally four pieces of honey sesame chicken, and four pieces of chicken in the green beans with chicken when I opened the box. Chow mein was fine, but the other items were cold despite the fact that I opened the box within 5 minutes. Plenty of other good choices for food in the area, will not go back. read more

We visited this location the day after it opened. It was nice to see it has a drive thru; which is what we used. Our order was easy and quick to place. They didn't have potstickers however, which I was really wanting. Our Entrees were good but the Chow Mein we received was under cooked and really chewy. Of course they just opened and have a few kinks to work out. We tried to fill out the survey online for this location but it was unrecognizable as it wasn't listed on their website yet. It also stated, "Please see back for details," and there was nothing on the back of the receipt. So maybe next time it'll be registered and we can received our "Free Entree Item" for completing the survey. We'll be back, my husband loves Panda Express. read more

I really love it here! I ordered a bowl with fried rice and Shanghai Angus steak. The steak was delicious and there was plenty of rice, which left me full to the top after eating. The cashiers here are usually very friendly and accommodating. My friend ordered the honey walnut shrimp, when we went, and I tasted some of hers. It was also soooo good. The store was very clean and the condiments were full. I will come back here again. read more

I am able to eat spicy food and was happy with what I got but my wife cannot eat anything spicy so she ordered the "non-spicy" Black Pepper Chicken. It had so much pepper that she couldn't eat it. I tasted it and she was right - there was way more pepper than other Chinese restaurants use. The second time we went, she ordered beef with asparagus as she could eat it the first time. This time however, it also was heavily loaded with black pepper and she couldn't eat it. Again, I tried it and she was right. People who cannot eat spicy food would definitely have had a problem with it. If a restaurant is going to serve non-spicy food for those who cannot eat it, they need to adjust their recipes to greatly lower the black pepper content. read more

Stopped in for the first time today with my daughter. First, I'm allergic to MSG and needed to know if it was in the food. No one knew what it was and then a manager finally said no. I did see a very tiny sign after the fact. My daughter and I both ordered the same thing. It was the absolute worst Chinese food I have ever eaten in my entire life.
