A hidden gem in Chestertown!**…read more My first time visiting Maryland and I lucked out finding this place. Saigonese serves truly authentic Vietnamese food -- the real deal. The phở bò (beef noodle soup) was outstanding: rich, fragrant broth, tender beef, and fresh herbs. And the bún chả giò was honestly the best I've had -- crispy golden spring rolls over cool vermicelli noodles, The fish sauce is perfectly seasoned, rich with the authentic flavors of the homeland. It's perfectly balanced. Also, the Vietnamese's bread is call "Banh mi" is prepared on-site and baked fresh daily--hot, crispy, and delicious. Options include roast pork and grilled beef varieties, accompanied by aromatic, perfectly sized skewers of grilled beef sausage; the meat is seasoned just right and stays fresh every bites of juicy and tender, never dry. Cozy spot, the staffs are friendly and cheerful, the restaurant is airy, spacious, and clean, with generous portion sizes. If you happen to be in the Chestertown area, you definitely have to give this place a try!

I don't really know where to begin with this place. From the moment I walked in all I can say is…read morethat the vibe here is just off. I went during their soft opening. And the service was inconsistent, and even the owners seemed to have a bit of an attitude. But anyway, let's get to the food. Definitely do not order the Banh mi. You can see from the picture that there is very little meat and it's just not made correctly. It was mostly bread. The Bo ne was OK. The best part about it was the sausage. Because this was the soft opening, the menu was limited. However, I will say that the pho is pretty dang gone good. If they can fix the vibe of this place. I think it has something to do with the area they're in. It seems like they cater to a particular audience based on the vibe that the staff and owner gave. Riding through town, you could definitely tell this is Trump country. As soon as we got outside, my wife said we are never coming back here and I have to agree.

The wait staff was very attentive, constantly checking to see if we needed drink refills. Our orders were taken and our appetizers came out shortly thereafter. A while later, the chef came to our table and put on a great show while cooking our food. It was very entertaining and the food was tasty. We all had a great time. I'd recommend this restaurant if you're in the area.

Extremely disappointed with our recent visit to Kiku in Middletown. We ordered hibachi for my son,…read moreand the kitchen got the order wrong. He had to sit and wait through our entire lunch while we ate, only for the corrected order to still be wrong when it finally came out. When we brought this up to management, there was no apology or accountability. Instead, we were told it was basically our fault for "ordering the wrong food." On top of that, their card machine was down, which added another 20 minutes to an already frustrating visit. I understand equipment issues happen and are not entirely their fault, but the way we were treated afterward was unacceptable. This isn't the first time the food here has been mediocre. Unless you're desperate for sushi, I would skip this place. The customer service alone is enough reason to go elsewhere.

I had the salmon Mediterranean style. It was very good along with basmati rice and vegetables. I felt they could serve a slightly larger portion of the vegetables.
