Never have we actually thrown entire orders out because they were so bad; until now. Egg Drop Soup and Shrimp with Lobster Sauce both so thin and tasteless, like they had been tap- watered down. Chicken Chow Mien is naturally bland, but this was completely flavorless. Oh, and you know that wickedly awesome brown sauce you get with Egg Foo Young, well apparently they were running low this night!!Chinese food is that treat you really look forward to... so disappointed. Take out only with good food and prices. As the only Chinese choice in town, it is solid and will satisfy any family looking for take out on a night when cooking is not in the cards! Service is fast and food is ready usually before wait times given when ordering. Once again there is no indoor seating outside of one small table and some waiting chairs , so plan accordingly. read more

Have REALLY tried to like China House. Have ordered different items at differnt times on differnt days. They are consistant. Consistantly poor. They are the only game in town for Chinese food, but to call the product they produce "Chinese food" is a slap in the face to any self respecting Chinese. We have been eating food from here for many years now. It was very, very good until they changed owners. I had been away on an extended trip and when I returned was looking forward to good Chinese food. What I got however when I returned was very,very, very disappointing. I was so disappointed I called them and asked them to call the previous owner to get their recipes. We did not get Chinese food again for quite a while. We decided to try it again to see if they had improved. We were pleasantly surprised that they had indeed improved. I really enjoyed the steam dumplings and the chicken lo mein was good too. The dumplings are made from a thick dough, which I love, not like wimpy potstickers. They were delicious. They used to have a little more meat in them but the flavor was very good!! The shrimp chow mei fun was a little bland and the pork fried rice could have had a little more zip (something). My daughter liked her beef lomein and my son in law was happy with his General Tso's. My husband said his wonton soup was very good as well. Overall, it was a delicious meal. We were pleased and will be back to try more of the menu. read more

This is definitely a take out place. Only one little table. If you go at lunchtime you can get a great deal. Dinner is a little more but still reasonable. The egg rolls are good and I like their fried rice. You can get large or small. The large is a lot of food so you can share. I'm stuck on the cashew shrimp. I get it about every other weekend. For the area it's a good choice My main complaint is that they don't deliver. If you're in the mood for Chinese takeout it's usually because your camped out in front of the tv and don't feel like going out. If they delivered, they would make a killing. Got take out here with my mom on our way to Rehoboth beach. I got the house special lo Mein, fried dumplings, and wanton soup. My mom got the bean curd with garlic sauce. And we shared an order of the fried scallops. All the food was good. It wasn't anything special but it was solid filling food and it was very enjoyable. My favorite part was the wonton soup although I also tried my moms bean curd and it was good to. Don't except food that blows your mind but expect a satisfying meal. read more

Absolutely horrible!! I've enjoyed their egg rolls and figured I'd try some other items on the menu. Worst decision I ever made!! Ordered chicken wings and shrimp fried rice. Wings were old and filled with grease!! They were cold and hard! The rice was overcooked and had no flavor whatsoever. I called the restaurant to let them know how disgusting and unacceptable the wings were (I hadn't yet tried the rice) the owner asked me if I would be coming back I explained that I could not as I was on my 30 minute break and I'd be working until morning. The person I spoke told me that I could come back whenever and get a "free" order of wings. I agreed. Five minutes later I'd tried the rice and immediately called back to voice my dissatisfaction and how I was no longer interested in a replacement meal, I'd like my money back! The owner got very hostile and nasty telling me "bring it back now if you'd like a refund. The wings were bad, I know but there was nothing wrong with the rice. The rice is good" I again explained how I could not leave work again and that I don't even live in that area and would be off the next few days. He actually told me to hold onto the food until I could make it back in for a refund!! Horrible food and horrible customer service! 0/10 do not recommend!! I feel bad writing poor reviews but I just have to. This is the only Chinese in driving distance so I have ordered from here a few times always hoping it will be better then the last time. NOPE!! Tonight was my last straw and I will never order from here again. I would rather drive. If you order anything breaded be prepared to basically get breading with sauce. I ordered sesame chicken and I literally could not eat it. It was ALL breading I couldn't even believe it. We cut EVERY piece open to look and My husbands was the same. Every time we have ordered it is less the average. I called to tell the manager about our dinner and he said next time you order I'll take $4 off your bill. Seriously? We order 2 meals and more and that's what your going to do? How about you make us new meals that actually have chicken in it. read more

Not a bad place but not a great place if your looking for decent Chinese food look no more but if you want great Chinese food keep looking. This place is a middle of the road spot no other Chinese option within 20mins so I thing that's why this place is middle of the road I think if there was competition near it would help quality but overall just your typical neighborhood Chinese food place. read more

Stopped for lunch and were pleasantly surprised by the excellent food! The egg rolls were amazing, light and tender. We had combo plates- chicken and broccoli for me and Gen. Tso's for my partner and we enjoyed both. This place was very clean. Only one table for dine-in so it's primarily for takeout. No bathroom for customers. read more

This place used to be awesome and have the best General Tao's Chicken & REAL pork fried rice (not that yellow bs they be trying to pass off) but the last few times have been awful, with our most recent being the worst. We went for lunch on Wed 7/03/19 & I ordered won-ton soup with my entree. There was something way off with this as it had a horrible smell as if something had gone bad. The fried rice also had the same taste, it was absolutely awful. Costs too much to risk not trusting what I'm being served to be a quality product that's safe for consumption. read more

I order Chinese food from China House on a regular basis and the food is delicious. The General Tso's Chicken is especially good and the lunch specials are also a solid deal. If you order over a certain amount, they usually give you free soup or appetizers (based on my own experiences). Plus it is the only Chinese restaurant around for 20 miles. read more

I hate to do a poor review but we have given China House a couple chances each time it was less than acceptable. Tonight we ordered two staples of every Chinese take out - Chicken with cashews plus Hot and Sour soup. The chicken was extremely salty and sweet. Sugar and salt must be considered spices at China House. The Hot and Sour soup was basically just hot soy sauce. We would have been better off getting Chinese food from the supermarket. read more

We stopped there on the way to Rehoboth. This is a take out place as there is only one table and five chairs on the premises. However we found the food relatively good. While not everything was available there was a large assortment of options from the non spicy beef and brocoli to the spicy and flavorful Singapore noodles.
