We started frequenting this establishment during their soft opening period up until a few weeks…read moreago. The experience is enjoyable and the food is always good, however, the shellfish can be a little 'fishy' at times. They also have changed the layout a lot over a very short period of time. For instance, closer to opening you could self serve on some of the non-meat items. Now all that remains is the sauce/hot bar and ice cream cooler. The real issue and why I don't give this place a better review is that the server turnover is unreal. We typically go once a month and have never seen or had the same server twice. On our last visit, we ended up with someone who admitted to being brand new who decided to card a grey haired old man (me). I asked for a manager who wasn't much older that our server and they refused on principle because I challenged them; they also ignored my ask for a general or senior manager. You can debate the principle of having your age verified on any number of points, but when someone is clearly multiples older than 21, the principle falls away and the insult to intelligence begins to set in. I emailed the Gmail account associated with their contact form over a week ago and never got a response, which at this point, is my primary complaint and a point for people to take note of should they run across a situation where they try to reach out to leadership. Much like most places, it's luck of the draw and we got a really lousy draw last time, but honestly the service is somewhat lackluster. They have these tablet devices they want you to use, but you have to first have them be enabled by your server and then it's hit or miss as to when they will return to check in (presumably because we can order some things on the tablet, but not incidentals like a fork or a spoon, etc.) YMMV.

My boyfriend and I came here for date night for Korean BBQ (we opted out of hot pot). It was my…read moreboyfriend's first time doing Korean BBQ and our waitress, Haley, was polite and did a great job with explaining the process. To start, I got a peach martini, which was 10/10. They had a great variety of appetizers and our favorite was the Korean fried chicken. We also tried the seafood boil (crab leg was over cooked but it was still good), fried dumplings, and spring rolls. They also had a variety of sauces and seasonings available, with recipes to create signature sauces. We tried various meats and seafood options. Our favorites were the short rib, shrimp, and spicy chicken bulgogi. Protein options came out quickly and our server Haley assisted us with preparing the food and changing out the grill. She even gave us some coupons which was super sweet. Dessert options were limited but we settled for some ice cream and cotton candy. Before leaving, we noticed some cool Knick-knacks and we grabbed some matching key chains. Overall, it was a great experience and we'll definitely be back!

We went to Anju with friends and had the best time sharing several dishes! The restaurant has a…read morenice ambiance, and they were playing a bunch of 2010s hits this evening (which was a fun throwback). Fig Around and Find Out: 4/5, not too sweet, and you could really taste the prosecco Chikin: 5/5, you can't go wrong with this Anju classic! This is a perfect appetizer for four people. Our waiter provided some hand wipes so we could clean our hands off afterwards. Yukhoe: 3/5, this was sweeter than I expected, and the sugar/nuts/chili basil overpowered any beef flavor. Chadolbaegi Fried Rice: 4/5, great smoky flavor but I wish the butternut squash had been cut bigger to enjoy more with each bite. More pork also would've been nice. Kimchi Jjigae: 5/5, we added noodles, which was a great move. This was such a delicious stew, and I loved the kimchi.

I debated whether I wanted to give this place 3 or 4 stars…read more 1. Mandu (3/5) - while it tasted good, the temperature was lukewarm which was disappointing. 2. Half chikin (4/5) - why do they call it chikin? It made me think it wasn't real chicken like what veggie grill calls their fake chicken. Anyway, it was messy but it was crispy and hot - it was fine. I've had better. 3. Lobster steamed egg (1/5) - the lobster was rubbery and I'm not a big fan of mixing sweet and savory together and for me, the sweet peppers ruined the entire dish. For me, the dish as a whole was less than the sum of its parts. 4. Ssam (5/5) - this dish saved the rest of the meal. The meat was tender the pear was nice and refreshing but to be honest, I consider this hard to mess up as long as the meat is good. My wife said that she wishes we just ordered two of these and nothing else lol. 5. Drinks (non-alcoholic - one was yakult and the other I think was passionfruit) - my wife really enjoyed both drinks so I guess I'll round up the review to 4 stars. If I lived in DC, I would probably go back here but since we're from out of state and visit DC once a year for work, we probably wouldn't come back here.

We had two kids with us, so we couldn't order anything too spicy. The japchae and mandu were tasty, but the lollipop wings deserved a stage of their own. Boy, were they delicious! Perfectly sweet and savory, with a crunchy batter that somehow stayed crisp despite the sauce. I honestly wish I could have eaten more. The portions are generous, parking is sufficient, and the staff were attentive. We'll definitely be back to try their hand-pulled noodles!

We were told to find a table on the other side of the restaurant (like self seating...see picture) but then asked to move. We were in a section with no one, which isnt an issue if the service is consistent (it wasnt and busy, we were their 3rd table) They checked on us once but I had to flag them down to order or ask questions. We ordered the Crystal noodles with shredded beef & vegetables (41) And the Fried rice with vegetable (10). The fried rice comes with the bean sauce which i didn't know (not listed on the menu I had) and contains pork. When i attempted to get a new version, it took 3 staff members asking why. The, what I assume to be the manager, said she would take it off the bill after I said I DONT EAT PORK... I also canceled my to go order before they cooked it but somehow that was never relayed to the kitchen and they brought it out ...I left hungry lol.
