I had just finished hanging out with my high school buds. We barbecued earlier but it was going on 10 and I was hungry. I just needed something quick and not a hamburger. Luckily, PE closed at 11:30, and not that far from where I was staying. Friendly greeting when I walked in. I decided on the bigger plate. Half rice/half noodles, kung pau chicken, teriyaki chicken, and the famous orange chicken. No waiting, and I was out the door. That meal hit the spot! Though it's called the bigger meal, the portions were a little small, especially the rice and noodles. I've been to locations where the box is packed! Nice dining room. Arrived around 10pm as this location closes at 11pm. We never go to this location but time was against me getting to our usual Panda. Immediately genuine greeted by the young woman. I noticed the chow mein was almost out and the order which was going to be a family pack required me to order two large sides of Chow mein. I curiously asked if it were possible to make more Chow mein since it seemed as if there would be enough just for a single large side. The woman asked the current chef if it were an option to make more.. his mannerisms were obvious like it was such a task to make more. The chef clearly was not wanting to make any more and if they were straight up with me I would have been cool with it.. our loss for just getting 1 order of chow mein and showing up an hour prior to closing. I even apologized for requesting more chow mein, and after I received my order I apologized again for coming In so close to closing. I get home And find the chow mein, undercooked, noodles were stuck together like you would find noodles to stick together from not stirring. the noodles were extremely dry, and without season. I've been to many Panda locations and it's been highly consistent!!! But tonights efforts were cut short due to a chef that makes approx $29/hr and cooks with an attitude. The date is 04/11/26 closing shift. As a business owner Regardless if our business hours are from 5am-9pm the same quality service should Be delivered every moment of the day And yes even an hour before closing! I would make the extra few minute drive to the location off of Murrieta Hot Springs ( this location is always consistent) or at least the location in Menifee!! read more

Ordered a family meal, admittedly because I was too lazy to cook, and the kids wanted take out. I think the price for the family meal is fair and they give you a decent amount of options to choose from. However there is an up charge of $4.50 for anything that's considered a specialty item. (honey walnut shrimp) in our case It's a pretty well known fact that when compared to other Chinese restaurants panda express doesn't give you as large of portions but they are suitable for this $39 family meal We ordered the orange chicken, the Beijing beef, and the up charge for the honey walnut shrimp Our entrées were full to the top of the little containers with the exception of the honey walnut shrimp that we paid almost 5 dollars extra for ..... It's pretty disappointing. The picture that is posted was taken directly after opening both containers. Nothing was removed as you can see. It's a little over halfway full. I will likely be going in and asking for my added $4.50 up charge refunded back to me.. I don't expect the entire meal for free, but I shouldn't have to pay an up charge to get half of the amount read more

Extremely disappointed with the Panda Express on Newport in Menifee. The service was painfully slow despite there being at least eight employees behind the counter. Everyone just seemed confused and disorganized, and I can't understand how with that many people, things could still be so inefficient. When I finally got my food, the portions were noticeably small--far below what I've come to expect from Panda Express. To make matters worse, my to-go order was missing the basics: no napkins, no sauces, no cutlery. This isn't the standard I'm used to from Panda. If you're looking for a better experience, I highly recommend the Panda Express down on Hwy 79 in Winchester. We went with our usual faves: fried rice, beijing beef, and orange chicken. The service was okay. There was a long line when we came, and we waited for maybe 10 minutes before we we got to the front and were helped. They were constantly bringing out fresh items off of the wok, so that was worth the wait, I suppose. There is only one big table that's durrounded by people who are in line, and there are only tables for 2 throughout the restaurant. You can't rearrange the table, just the chairs. Its odd, but maybe thats the ambiance they're going for. There are plenty of parking spaces, though the plaza is always busy. read more

Used to LOVE this place so much for a quick Chinese meal. But.... Guess What!!! Panda Express does not think we'd notice. WE NOTICE, smaller portions, smaller container, higher prices. Rice and noodles are not that expensive. The chicken in their Black Pepper Chicken should be called Black Pepper Celery - you're lucky if you find 3 pieces of chicken. About a month or two ago, when you went there, you knew you'd have enough food to last for a snack or maybe even a meal the next day! Not any more. Prices have soared and containers are a lot smaller. The scoops are less than expected, even the rice or noodles. VERY DISAPPOINTED. Food is still good, but THANKS to BIDEN - it's too expensive for what you get now. We won't be coming as often. There ARE other Chinese restaurants that have not cut back this much. read more

Well got damn! How long does it take to get a freaking chicken and veggie roll? I don't know whether or not if I was being ignored or if they just didn't hear me behind my mask, but it took a long time for someone to come and tend to me. I made eye contact several times and also said that I was there to order a chicken and a veggie roll, I'm not sure whether or not if the cook did not hear them give my order or maybe they forgot, however eventually I ended up finding out that the order wasn't even placed when I requested it. This particular Panda does not open it's dining room to eat in. I didn't even notice until I was ready to pay that they removed all of the tables and pushed the chairs to the walls, Restrooms are blocked off as well. I should have realized and thought something was amiss because I was the ONLY customer in the place. it was empty just after 1 pm. Just me and 8 employees. They place was nice and clean, the serving line looked amazing, and the staff was welcoming and cheerful. As far as the food, I have had better Panda and that might have been a just in the moment thing because it's all really the same when fresh. My biggest disappointment was that they don't have Hot Chinese mustard. The female server asked why it was all burnt and the cook said, rather rudely, "That's YOUR wok" and then walked away. When my family and I walked into the restaurant the person that took our order rushed us even though their was not anyone behind us and then at the register the person was nice however we did not receive our fortune cookies! I'm pretty sure I was supposed to get at least 3 because I got 2 bowls and 1 plate. Overall the food was ok one of the plates had shrimp but it seemed to be undercooked other than that the food was mid. Lastly for one of the bowls we had a bowl with noodles and the beyond orange chicken but the bowl was mostly noodles and only 5-7 small pieces of chicken.
