Chicken and mushroom
Jennie M.

Wow! Upon entering, the panda express was very clean. They had a variety of entrées and sides that were all freshly made. My favorite is the chicken and mushroom with zucchini. The vegetables were cooked with a nice snap, not soggy. Yum. The spring rolls are very crispy and you could tell that everything was freshly made. I even saw the cabinet that has fresh cut vegetables in it. We weren't sure what to order, so Carly was especially helpful in describing the entrées to us. I like that the bathrooms were really clean. Inside the dining hall was very clean also and there was plenty of seating. There is handicap seating and accommodations. Two employees in the back were actively working while Gigi, the manager, was talking with us. She was so welcoming! She was so kind and on a roll with her employees. My fiancé and I will definitely be coming back to this Panda Express.

3 entrée plate

Fast Chinese food, very good, have not had a bad China express to date. Always fast, love the fried rice. Clumpy soft rice is the east I like it! The price for what you get it also a good deal. The only downside I would say is if you want an eggroll or crab Rangoon it is al-a-cart and a little pricey. That being said I did get one chicken eggroll that was very crispy and very good dipped in the sweet and sour sauce. You will pay a couple bucks for it but occasionally it's OK to splurge. I get the three course plate because I have a hard time deciding on only two entrées.

Talk about the worse service. I went to place an order at 16:54 through the drive thru. I was told to park and wait. 35 minutes no food. Now I was officially going to be late for dropping off my daughter at school for band performance. I went in for a refund and I was told I could NOT get a refund. The only person that could do it is the district manager and she is not available to do it. I ended up leaving because I really had no more time left to wait around. I came back at 18:15. Well, they finally had the food ready, they gave me the food that had apparently been on the counter since the time I ordered it, so more than an hour old. The lady refused to provide me the information of the district manager and still denied me a refund. But they were more than happy to give me food that had been off the line for more than an hour.

There's a worm in my food! Have never had this issue.

30+ minutes in a drive thru is at least 20 minutes too long. This is especially glaring when you see Chick Fil A right next door

Locked the doors when they saw us parking 30 minutes before closing like literally ran to the door so we could not go inside.

Quite possibly one of the best Chinese restaurants tucked away in small town America. I have been…read moreto Chinatown in New York City, Chicago and LA and the food has never been close to this level of food. I placed a to go order and it was ready in eight minutes, and when I walked in on a Thursday evening, nobody was dining in which I found strange. I got the general Tso meal with crab Rangoon's and let me tell you something. The flavor of both dishes made me weak behind my knees. I have been to 49 out of 50 states and have had some variation of Chinese/Asian food in every single one of them.... this is head and shoulders above any other restaurant I have ever had and I just cannot put into words how great this place was. Whether you are here for vacation or work, like I am, please do yourself a favor and head on down to China wok, across from the train car. (Tear rolling down cheek as I stand up and start clapping)....while alone in hotel room. Thank you City of Llano for letting this establishment bless this community with their food.

We were debating splitting a meal when the girl behind the counter offered the option of the lunch menu (even though it was after 4pm). We ordered orange chicken & Kung Pao chicken and waited. While we were waiting, 3 locals came in for pick up orders... good sign! They were so nice to every customer- making each feel welcomed and appreciated. We got plenty of food (ate the rest of mine for lunch today) and enjoyed our food in the RV. Nice find in a cute town.

Unfortunately, a below average Chinese buffet…read more I'll start off by stating that I like to think that I'm understanding when it comes to rating buffets. I'm not expecting outstanding quality food, but there's still a bar. I'll start off with the best items - frog legs, fried rice, and the french fries (yes, I know). Most other items were alright or below average for a Chinese buffet. One of the main concerns that I have is just that a lot of the food appears to have been sitting at the buffet tables for quite some time. I think some items were never touched, let alone refilled, from when we first came in and then left. So it's hard to really tell what is "fresh". Many of the items are mislabeled which can be annoying. Most of the silverware is also dirty, even the ones that you get when you are first seated. Speaking of seats, the seats at the booth we were at were sticky. We moved to a table. Those seats were sticky as well. Service is a bright spot for this restaurant. Wait staff was very attentive and nice. I wish I could provide a better rating. Though if given the opportunity to visit again, I would politely decline.

Plus I'm in wheelchair and they always move a chair for me. Which I kindly appreciate! Yes sometimes they make mistakes but they're human I have never seen a restaurant that was perfect. My husband and I will always come here no matter what. Might have once a month or twice a month because of cost. We will get here eventually!

Chef Ling is a brilliant and personable chef who treats her chefs and staff like family. Several different chefs prepared each course, and the presentation was well beyond what we expected, both visually stunning and thoughtfully composed. From the moment we walked into Ling Kitchen, the energy felt warm and intentional. The space is intimate without feeling cramped, and you immediately sense that you are about to be part of something special rather than just another dinner reservation. Chef Ling personally welcomed guests, shared the story behind the menu, and checked in throughout the evening in a way that felt genuine and never forced. Each course built on the last, with a clear progression of flavors and textures. The fish was impeccably fresh, the knife work precise, and the seasoning balanced to highlight the natural ingredients rather than overpower them. You could see the coordination among the team as different chefs stepped forward to prepare and present their dishes. It truly felt collaborative, like a small culinary orchestra. What stood out most was the creativity. Traditional techniques were honored, but there were subtle twists and unexpected combinations that kept us curious and engaged. Every plate was composed like art. The pacing was perfect, allowing time to savor each bite and appreciate the craftsmanship. Beyond the food, the hospitality elevated the entire experience. The staff was knowledgeable, attentive, and clearly proud to be part of the team. That family atmosphere Chef Ling fosters is palpable and makes the evening feel personal. If you are in Austin and looking for a memorable omakase that rivals experiences in much larger food cities, Ling Kitchen is a must. This is not just dinner, it is a curated, immersive experience. We will absolutely be back. Thank you Ling!!! You are truly one of a kind!

Very nice establishment with great interior design touch, however the food was lacking for the…read moreprice. I went with my brother and we had a fun time talking with the people around us. For $150/head you get solid Chinese food, with nice presentation. To me, if I consider the $150 price point for the meal, paying simply for presentation is not enough, especially if you consider other restaurants competing at this price point in the Austin area. Very few of the dishes had any real flavor advancements/innovations past the original Chinese dish it was based on. For example, the salt and pepper lobster comes out in this fancy wide wooden dish, filled with dried peppers, and then is seated on a textured stone bowl with sliced lettuce under the lobster tail. All to get 2 bites of typical tasting lobster. Was the lobster good? yes, but the general feeling is pay more to get better presentation, and less food for the money, not a food taste upgrade. To be fair, that may be what the restaurant is targeting. To contextualize Ling's kitchen, I feel as if you would be able to get a larger version of most if not all dishes, with similar quality in Houston for $20. For $150 you would be able to feed an entire family with drinks and dessert normally so I do not feel as if the money is worth it. Not much innovation on the flavors for the palate, but the food had very cute visuals. Service was nice, and the Chef's energy was infectious.

I've heard so many great things about this restaurant, and we finally made it there over Memorial Day weekend. It absolutely lived up to the hype. This place is truly impressive. You can tell every detail was thoughtfully designed and intentional, from the stunning interior design and décor to the incredibly creative menu. What I loved most was how the dishes stayed rooted in authentic Chinese flavors while adding creative, and sometimes surprising, twists. Everything we ordered was excellent. The Lobster Cheese Puff was a huge hit: crispy on the outside and packed with flavor inside. The Salmon Sashimi Mango Salad was incredibly fresh, bright, and crunchy. The sautéed pea shoots were so tender and fresh. And the Lamb Chop with Spicy Miso Sauce was absolutely unforgettable. One of the biggest surprises for me was the Veggie Fried Rice. As a native Chinese, I've had countless fried rice dishes over the years, but I've honestly never had one prepared quite like this before. It was so flavorful and unique. For dessert, the Chocolate Soup Dumpling was both creative and delicious, and the bunny-shaped sorbet was almost too cute to eat. Our waiter, Jake, was also incredibly attentive and helpful throughout the evening. He made our first experience there even more special. I highly recommend this place to anyone looking for high-quality Chinese cuisine paired with a beautiful ambiance and elevated dining experience.
