Normally love Panda but this location is by far the worst I've ever been to. Upon entering there was a long line; which normally isn't a big deal but can be very telling about the service. When it was my turn the Manager, Marisa, quickly makes my food then sets it aside; letting two other customers pass. She then grabbed another persons bowl, insisting it was mine, and cutting off all my attempts to tell her it wasn't. They finally get around to making me a new bowl, and the Orange Chicken was like... soft and mushy. I never leave review , and I'm very upset about what happened last night at this location. I was parked along with five other cars that came before me in the drive thru for my order. I had one plate and I sat parked for a little over 35 minutes. When I finally sent my husband inside , he asked for a refund. They told him the could not refund him at the moment because none of the seven employees knew how to do it. I find this very hard to believe because they were 20 minutes away from closing. They offered my husband something else to eat instead of a refund but that he would still have to wait. The food was good. The serving sizes better than I expected. The prices are not too bad. The service has been hit or miss. I have had great and terrible, so it does depend on who you get. My only real complaint with this restaurant is that everything is pre-prepared. So if you have a food allergy, you may be tough out of luck for one or more of their dishes. read more

I am so tired of being disappointed by this Panda Express, it is the closest one to me but at this point I'm ready to travel the distance. The "manager" Tiana is soo rude, and has terrible customer service. I came through the drive thru and ordered the cream cheese rangoons and they said they only have two and if I would like something else, I said you can do the two rangoons with one spring roll, at first the guy said they couldn't do that because it's different prices. They are literally the same price. When I got to the window the supposed "manager" Tiana was there. I told her the price is the same and they have done this for me before. She said it will ruin the pair of egg rolls. I said the rangoons are already missing one so what is the difference? She just repeated her self and said they couldn't do it then instructed me to park for the rangoons. I waited over 10 mins just to get COLD RANGOONS. This was my first time going to this Panda Express. I was not happy with how long the wait was. From the time we walked in and finally got our order was about 40min. They don't acknowledge guest walking in or even say hi. We ordered 7 plates to go. When the girl making our plates said it would be 5min for broccoli beef we decided to wait but five minutes quickly turned into 30min. After telling the cook 5 times that there was people waiting for broccoli beef he finally started making it but had this look on his face like he didn't know what to do. read more

If I could give this place 0 stars I would! Went there for lunch today. They had a $20 family special and they were not prepared for it. Girl at the drive thru was rude. They didn't have what I wanted to order because there was only 1 cook. Food was over cooked and not worth what I paid for. Called the store and the manager hung up on me..I guess all employees were completely stressed. Maybe the district manager should spend some time there. This is the worst location I have ever purchased from. Placed 3 orders online tonight. Spent almost $30.00. My order was a beef and broccoli rice bowl. The bowl was 80% rice, 19% broccoli and 1% meat. I received no less than 2 small slices of meat. I will go elsewhere to spend my hard earned money. This was the first online order. I have only gone through the drive thru for this location and have done it for few times. It's not the fastest drive thru but not terrible either. I have noticed if I come between 2 and 2:15, their mostly out of everything, which is annoying, especially when you're in the drive thru so you have no choice but to order something else. I always get the bowl and it's mostly filled with rice or chow mein depending on what I order. Their broccoli beef is mostly broccoli and kung pao chicken is mostly bell peppers. Hello, my wife and I just stopped into the panda in manteca and we were served raw orange chicken. We didn't know it was raw until my 6 month pregnant wife took a bite and just thought it was cold, no big deal but when I went up to the counter to tell the workers our food was cold my wife took the chicken apart and it wasn't even cooked. This place is a joke. They messed my order up, I went back in to tell them it was wrong. Gave them the receipt back, to show the order was wrong. The First Lady opened the box and looked at it while making me a new plate the other lady comes up and opens the box, tells her no. Give her back her food and then proceeded to give me a side order of orange chicken along with the box that was passed around between the two of them. One manager gave a free food voucher because of the 45 minute wait only to have to wait another 45 minutes on our next order to use the voucher because they had run out of teriyaki chicken and chow mein. 3 STRIKES YOUR OUT!!!! I am officially done coming to this #PandaExpress in Manteca. In my 3 visits spreaded out (days and time) and this location seems to never have food options becuz they have one but not another and I'm talking about 3 or more empty trays with no food. My last visit 8-17 was the last straw. No chow mein so guy frm drive thru brought his chow mein which was old and tasted heated to me from a lamp or microwave. Then no fried rice to top it all. I got orange chicken and there were no terayaki chkn, no mushroom chkn, broccoli w/o beef. Finally teriyaki comes out. When we got our meal complete it was cold rice nasty chow mein cold orange chicken and the teriyaki was the freshest thing I got since it had just came out. What makes me upset the most is me and my partner counted 11 employees not 1 not 2 not 3 but 11 and no food to serve the long line. 2 of the employee one being a manager (blue shirt) was there chatting away with an employee while no food is on the trays. In the 30-45 mins we were there he never once check to see if everything is alright. On the 3 different occasions I have experience nothing good from this location. Panda Express has never failed me except this location. My tip will be try the food one may be fresh and the other stale or cold or taste of reheat. I rarely write reviews unless its worth writing or it sucked major @$$... To top it off one of the employees that was talking to mgr says to me how was the meal and walked away without hearing my response. What was the point of asking if your going to walk away frm me. What it was is she heard our dissatisfaction comments but obviously didn't care but for herself to look like she was concern about our food and mgr didn't look so she continues walking. Where do I start. The thing I like about Panda is the food is consistent. However this Panda needs some help. First, the place was a mess. The floors, tables and bathrooms were disgusting. There were no supplies (soap, seat covers, etc....) in the bathrooms......and there were no cup covers and very few forks...etc in the silver wear area. The service was slow. They misunderstood order after order and they were out of nearly everything. We had to wait for half our order (never pleasant but especially uncool when you are traveling with hungry children) and then they forgot to bring it out to us when it WAS finally ready. I was shocked that this place was as good as it was. I was a little skeptical a "fast" food type place, more so from a DRIVE THRU would be anything more than eatable. We have lived in Manteca for almost 10 years now and though slowly we've acquired what the "city folk" have closer to the bay (Costco, Red Robin...) I was unable to find decent chinese food and was having it imported from Uncle Yus in Livermore or San Ramon. The husband brought it home for me one night and I've had it at least twice a week since. Stopped in today and noticed just how much the employees are expected to do! There appears to be a productivity clock of some sort on the wall. Employees have to answer the phone, help walk in customers, and help with drive through, all while smiling and providing the best service possible. It's stressful to see how much they juggle. Corporate must be into slavery! I'm not happy with what they expect of their employees. Get real! The lady helping me was very nice. She offered me samples, was patient and explained entrees and clearly was super busy juggling everything. She did a great job keeping track of the food and the customers. She explained that I may need to wait a few minutes for hot replenish food to come up, but went above and beyond to make sure I was a happy customer. These employees have to bust their butts. The food was delicious and filling. I wish the management would back off on the expectations of so few employees having to keep so many customers happy. Hire more people, don't work them to death, otherwise, these employees won't stay working for you long, and someone else will be happy to get such great employees. PS-noticed veggie mix now has kale. Junior and senior year, my friends and I would go off campus to eat lunch during highschool and one of the places we would go to is Panda. It's literally right next to our high school so it was convenient for us since we did only have a 30 min lunch break. It's like any other Panda. The employees are very friendly and try to do their best to get customers out of the place especially during rush hours. Lots of table and chairs to sit so that's a plus. read more
