Usually, the girls would bring us our drinks, but seeing the waiter standing at the far end without attending to us, I decided to go get the drinks myself. When he came over, we asked if the place had been sold to a new owner because the service had changed so much. He said no. We explained that we were regulars, but he claimed he had always worked there and had never seen us--implying we were lying. I told him what the other man at the entrance had said and mentioned how surprised I was by the rudeness; he replied, "If you're going to eat, eat; if not, leave." We had never experienced such mistreatment anywhere in the world--all just for voicing a complaint. We were in shock and, naturally, we left.
