Panda express...in general is always reliable. For those days that you don't want to cook or you don't know what where to eat, just go panda express and you definitely figure a meal you'd want for lunch or dinner. The service I get on most panda are generally normal, by normal I mean casual like you fall in line and get the set of meal you want and that's pretty much all the interaction you get, not that I care to talk stories with them. However the Panda Express in Kaneohe gave us a really good customer service. Me and my husband went here to eat diner, just because we're both too tired to cook and we didn't want to go far from where we live, which is around the restaurant area. The lady that help us was a filipino lady, I seriously forgot to ask her name but she was,maybe in her early 40's, they normally close at 10 but surprisingly they were still open when we got there at around 10:15, so we just kinda tried if they'll still serve us so went in and the filipino lady greeted as warningly and was ready to help us. Most of the food were put away already but she told us that they'll make us a fresh one if we like so we ordered out favorite honey walnut shrimp. They she gave us free drink while we're waiting for our shrimp, and even 2 min the food was ready. All I'm saying is for all the PANDA EXPRESS! I'd rate them 3 for the good food but for KANEOHE PANADA EXPRESS I'd give them a 4 star for the good service and for our warm honey walnut shrimp. Today was 'just not good' Our sting bean chicken was slimy, the sweet fire chicken was over cooked and burnt. Our fried rice was undercooked and hard. I cant be a total hater of this place because the food wasnt great but it was edible. Of course this is coming from a mainlander who apparently doesnt know a thing about "authentic chinese" cuisine lol. I've had the eggrolls,noodles and orange chicken and they were all passable as mediocre but nothing wow'ish about it. Orange chicken was mushy as ive read in other reviews, eggrolls were alright not too oily and the noodles were a bit dry and bland. Service was decent. I was greeted as I walked in and the girls were quite friendly. The prices were'nt bad but quality of food wasnt worth what i paid. I dont see myself eating at this or any other panda's anytime soon. Good food and the service is fast. Most people that don't like Panda Express just don't know how to order properly. Any dish you want made fresh, just ask and they do it. Want fresh steamed veggies? They'll do it. I make sure to ask for fresh items and I'm never disappointed. This location is clean and easy to access. Much better than the mall location. read more

We've eaten here many times and the food is always flavorful. They've completed renovation. I ordered online takeout for the first time last week. My only gripe this time is that they gave us the leftover chow funn at the bottom of the bowl. We could tell it was scraped from the bottom as the noodles were in pieces and mushed up. There wasn't one noodle intact! If you want to get a fresh batch, it's best to order in person so you can see what you are getting. read more

I'm always surprised at how clean Panda Expresses are and how they bill themselves as "gourmet" Chinese food, ha! The uniformity of food and decor across locations is admirable. It's not the best Chinese food in the world, but will work in a pinch. read more

My daughter and I ate chow mein/orange chicken and chow fun/orange chicken bowls here at about 1 pm Dec 18, 2017. Not too long after consuming our meals we both had stomach aches and she ended up puking and I have diarrhea. I tried to call and call yo warn them but no answer. I hope people check this before eating more of the contaminated food. Since I cannot get through by phone to the restaurant, I will be contacting Dept of Health in the morning. The food from one Panda Express to another doesn't vary much but the service certainly does. This location usually has fast, friendly staff that make it a pleasure to order. When a dish is low and needs to be cooked, they often offer a small soft drink as you wait, a very nice touch. read more

Food was great, but service was absolutely terrible. Walked in with my girlfriend and waited about 10 minutes before anyone even acknowledged that we were trying to order. Saw 3 workers in the corner having social hour, not sure if they were on or off duty. One worker who was conversing came over and rearranged brochures. Well another shitty service for panda. One they were out of everything and the dumb old cook in the back is making items that are already there. I went there for 2 bowls chowmein and Shanghai angus and the other bowl chow main and egg plant tofu. They were out of chow me in. So I waited for the chow me in. That took 10 minutes and others were waiting after me. They get the chow me in and serve the Shanghai angus to the customers that came after me. Then the ladies tell the cook along time before to make Shanghai angus which he did not. After 30 minutes I'm still waiting and look and still no Shanghai angus cooking. Finally I tell the ladies to forget it and just give me the orange chicken. So upset I said I don't care no need refund me for the Shanghai angus and the old dumb cook looks at me like he wants to fight. So mad I almost wanted to go behind the counter and knock him out. This cook should retire or get fired cause he sucks. This is the last time I'm coming to this establishment. Before me 3 guys were pissed off at the lady at the counter cause she was laughing at their kid who is deaf. How dare they tease this kid. Those guys were really upset and I don't blame them. Kamehameha Hwy location - Does anyone that works here speak English!?!? Everyone was speaking Filipino at a CHINESE restaurant - where does this make sense!? The server filled the order and didn't ask if I wanted a drink - I had to ask for a drink. Do they want the sale or just their pay checks? When I said I wanted a large drink she questioned me if that's what I really wanted. If that's what I asked for don't you think that's what I want? I was hungry so I just took the food. Two entrees - BOTH TASTED LIKE THEY'D BEEN SITTING FOR HOURS and BURNT. The seasoning was baked and crusted on. If this were the last open restaurant in the area I would NOT stop. I go to this Panda location fairly frequently, and most of the time I am satisfied. However, last time I was not happy. I ordered a double entree of orange chicken with chow mien & the cream cheese things, so I paid about $11 for my dinner. Drove all the way home & came to figure out that the orange chicken was SO GROSS. it was the complete opposite of fresh, and had absolutely zero of the citrus/orange taste. Omg it was so nasty. I literally only ate two pieces & I tossed the whole plate. My husband wouldn't even eat it (and that's saying something). So I'd say with any Panda, when they offer you a sample, TAKE IT, or at least try your food before you leave the store. Eewww read more

Power went out in Kailua the other day, but not in Kaneohe. I passed by McDonald's which looked like a nuclear fallout shelter. Drove all the way up to Panda Express. Line wasn't too long at 9:30pm. There was still quite a bit of food. I bought three plates to feed the family and got: chow fun, fried rice, crab rangoons, mushroom chicken, orange chicken, eggplant tofu, and the new peppercorn shrimp which cost $1 more. All the food was very good. $25 for the everything, $7.99 per plate. Facility very clean. Will come here again if the world doesn't end. read more

I rarely eat 'takeout' food, but I make an exception with this Panda Express restaurant. The place is clean and open, the food is plentiful, tasty without MSG. The service is fast and polite. The cost is reasonable, and its local so I can collect on my way home from work! It is one of the few fast food restaurants i go to or have ever recommended. Food is okay, like any other time I come to eat at any of them, but today me and my kids came to this one and went to fill up our drink, and their were ants filled in the cup swimming in the fruit punch. Tried another soda, same thing. Told the worker who apologized and did nothing to clean or fix the problem and told none of the other customers either. Tried a third soda, more ants. We live close and take out from here a lot. My wife likes Panda (she's haole) and prefers their food over local style Chinese. The food is pretty standard from panda to panda. The thing that stood out to me was a worker named Jen. There was a giant line in front of me and I was pretty annoyed at that. She had two coworkers on register and she was banging out the line all by herself. She made sure everyone knew what was going on including the customers. She kept her composure all while handing out great customer service. I had to wait 10 minutes for my beef broccoli but because of the great service and the hustle I actually didn't mind. If I could I would rate this place an zero. I was next in line and she never once said hello welcome to panda. All she said was, what you like, she never once offered me to try a sample of the new spicy shrimp, I had to ask. I wanted chow mein broccoli and that spicy shrimp. She said I can't here you. Fair enough the cash register person could hear and she couldn't. And I did that survey where I could get the free entrée, she never asked me if I wanted it on the same plate or on the side. She just assumed. I also wanted egg roll, but she never asked if I wanted. There was no more, so she said you can wait or leave. This was just unacceptable. So I waited 10 minutes and then it was ready and other lady never offered me if I wanted a drink or to donate money to the charity. But all the people before or after me got that saying. I'm paying their paycheck so I at least should get the same service as the other customers. I rather make the drive to Kailua which is 20 minutes away then take this one which is 5 minutes away. Whenever me and my family go to panda express it's usually busy and the staff usually take there time making sure they get exactly what you want then theres others who try to rush the order to probably get it over with .But other than that I recommend to try there orange chicken it's amazingly delicious read more

4/3, 7:45 pm, ordered a plate; steamed fish was out, so need to wait for steamed fish. Waiting for steamed fish was not the problem. The big problem was after the steamed fish was done, the wok waited on the counter for about 5 minutes. One person was helping a party of three, the other person left, walked into the back room, then walked back out, went to the dining area, then walked back into the back room; only after all this walking about, did she finally return to the food counter. All of this walking about took another 5 minutes. So ow the fish had been cooling for about 10 minutes, Even one of your cooks started to look at your Wait staff. I finally said something to one of your counter staff, who finally turned around to take the wok from the counter and place the fish in my box. It took 15 minutes to get my fish. Your counter did not even apologize for the long wait. What's going on? You are NOT the only Panda Express in the neighborhood. Your establishment is NOT the only food place in the neighborhood, and don't feel that your food is the BEST food in the neighborhood. Your staff's attitude tonight was terrible.
