In short, This place is pretty much a RIP OFF. To be fair, it is not just this location but all of them. I have been eating at this chain ever since they started here in the S.F. Bay Area and I always did enjoy the food and the fair to good sized portions. But now..... Now they decided to change the containers. They are smaller and MUCH MUCH SHALLOWER and seem the hold maybe a little more than half the food they used to yet the price is the same! If you Google "Panda Express Rip off" you will find other people saying the same thing. It's really a shame. I liked eating here, but it just isn't worth it anymore. Hey PANDA EXPRESS! Your customers are not dummies. Please do right by us and be honest! Don't be sneaky and try to trick us. Cool things about Panda: quick Chinese food that pretty much always tastes the same, you pretty much know how much you're gonna spend and this place now stays open until 10:30pm! Huge plus. Here's the thing... Depending on who you get serving you, you may or may not get completely screwed as far as what kind of items you get. The last time we went 2/3 of the servers were very short and not generous at all when it comes to the servings. I literally (and when I say literally I use that word correctly. Literally) got 4 pieces of beef with my broccoli beef. 4 beef and probably 10 broccoli. It was totally lame. The thing that brought the visit up was a guy named "Tony" gave us a little side of orange chicken since we got gyped on the orange chicken as well. He didn't charge us. What I didn't know is I should've asked for more beef with my serving of broccoli! But that wasn't his fault. I know the servers get told explicitly how much meat:veggie ratio to give. And if it is 4:10 for the beef and broccoli then there is seriously something wrong with this system. If it's not, which I don't think it is, then I just got completely gyped. Thing is, you can go the next night and get a totally generous serving of everything, so it's kind of a crap chute. Due to this inconsistentcy about the servings, going with orange chicken is always a good idea. There's no veggies and it also tastes spot on. Went to this place when it first opened up about 3 years ago. The food is always fresh at this location and they let you sample any foods that you want to try. The brocolli beef is really good and the fried rice is good as well. I really love the honey walnut shrimp. The service was always good and never had a problem with anyone. Only thing good here is the fried rice and this steak and mushroom dish, but there's a $3 premium for it. I think they ran out of the regular noodles for the chow mein so they used some trash thin ass noodles that were all broken, and the veggies werent even sauteed enough, almost raw. The orange chicken was average, and same goes for the chicken breast dish, which surprise surprise, tasted like orange chicken!! Must've have used the same spices??! I overpaid for some really low quality food. The kids wanted beef and broccoli but it looked like it's been sitting there for hours! Never again.... Used to go into P/E and get a standard "to go" box.. like most Chinese food places use.. Panda Express uses their own "to go" container. What a Flippin RIP OFF... the "box" is so shallow you get maybe 1/3 of the rice you used to get before and about half of the entree items you used to get under the old container system.. Well to start with pands express is really great totally recommend it. The orange chicken is very delicious. Very great service all the time I go. Restrooms are really clean all times. The prices are really great. What I like about the food in there is the orange chicken is always sweet spicy am really crunchy. This time I got white rice with teriyaki chicken in a bowl . What I didn't like was that I asked to put teriyaki sauce on top and on the side . but they only gave me on the side I'm on the top. But when I went back and told him the right away gave me extra sauce so it's a good thing it wasn't so bad. read more

Disappointed. I went here a month ago. I wanted Angus beef. I saw the sign saying you had to pay 1.25 more. I knew that from other locations but then was quoted and charged 1.37 even after correcting the employee due to the sign but they charged me anyway. It seems fishy that prices are quoted are higher than posted. Then add to it they don't give you a receipt. Later I read this happened to another reviewer so it isn't a random accidental incident. I don't like that in a franchise. The portions here are less and the containers used are smaller. You want it to be similar PE to another PE. It is not consistent here. It is so sad to see a chain restaurant that has once established their reputation and customers, then they slowly start to raise price and decrease quantity. Located in a plaza with a Target. The location is relatively new and clean. The staff is friendly and the food is pretty fresh considering everything is cooked and then held on a steam table. I find that the busier locations always tend to have fresher food due to the better food rotation. read more
