Very fast pace restaurant without a care for quality food. Purchase a two Entrey dish. Fried Rice, sesame chicken and Orange chicken on 12-16-25 @ 4:10pm. Problem with food. 1) got small portion of less than one scope each or orange chicken and seemed chicken. Worst of all, the Fried Rice tasted burnt. The cooks do not understand that if you first burn Rice in pan the burnt taste continues until the pan is cleaned. This restaurant lost a loyal customer. The food was good as always, but me and my sister were in DESPERATE need of a bathroom. When we went to the bathroom, we were assaulted by a PADLOCK on the bathroom door! Who the heck padlocks a bathroom door?? We saw other people come out and go into both the men's and women's bathrooms. But others would try the door and either just stand there and wait or walk back to their seat. The ONLY way to get into the bathroom was by entering a numerical code that they don't give you! The cashier didn't say anything like, "Oh, and by the way the code for the bathroom is blah blah blah." We checked the recite too. Nothing. We love the Panda Express on Wade Hampton, but we will NOT be returning to this location. PLEASE fix the padlock situation. Hubby had his allergy shots this morning and I had received an email offering 20% off Panda Express. Now, you guys know I love my Chinese so I ordered a family meal (because I'm going to be freezing lunches for Mark and I from it as well) and OH BOY! How did we not get food from here before??? Mark went in to pick up my online order (which had been very easy to make) and he said it was very clean, very efficient. I got noodles and fried rice sides as he is more a noodle person and I'm def a rice one. Main dishes, Beijing Beef (oh oh oh new favourite Chinese food!), Kung Pao Chicken and Beef and Broccoli. I was bad, I had 3 bits of broccoli (not supposed to as it contains vit K which heps clot blood,, and I'm on blood thinners, but I LOVE broccoli, so sometimes I have to indulge). Loved all of the dishes. I popped the rest into the fridge and will divvy up to freeze as lunches in a little while. We've already said the Beijing Beef will be an every time dish but next time we'll try another couple of dishes to find our faves. This was a stand alone restaurant but I usually see them in the mall food courts. I never had the desire to eat there before because Chinese mall food usually sits for long periods of time. The restaurant was very clean and nicely decorated, sleek lines, easy to clean surfaces. The staff were appropriate and the food looked fresh and appetizing. We ordered the chicken egg rolls, the vegetables spring rolls and the orange chicken. EVERYTHING was meh. The chicken egg roll tasted like a blend of over cooked cabbage in a typical egg roll casing. The spring rolls tasted like the crunchy spring roll casing with nothing in the middle. The orange chicken was exactly what I imagined mall Chinese food would be, it tasted as if it had been sitting for some time. The chicken was mysteriously hard and mushy at the same time. Their food quality has went way down since my first few visits. The teriyaki chicken is full of fat every time I order it. The beef in the broccoli and beef entree had so much fat on it I could not finish my meal. It was pieces of fat with a little beef on it. Horrible experience yesterday afternoon 2-1-18, my wife and son purchased our family 3 meals. They asked for some fresh orange chicken and Rangoons the server said this is fresh, but after they tasted it they found that the outer was over cooked, crunchy and cold. The server asked the cook to make a fresh batch. The cook replied "no we can not do that, if we do that for them we will have to do that for others." My family was jaw dropped by what they heard. They should have left at that point. The cook was visibly disrespectful and did not want to cook more fresh food. The server went to the manager to ask if they could make a fresh batch. The server came back from talking to the manager and she instructed the cook to make fresh food. The male cook did as instructed. He was very visibly upset. Once my family got home and tried the food it was uneatable as the cook had added some type of pepper or spice making it uneatable burning our mouths and throat. This is terrible service and spiteful retaliation to customers who have been eating with this franchise for over a decade. We will report this to corporate Panda Express. read more

Got dinner here last night. The employees were beyond rude. They make it very clear they hate white people. When it was my turn, they all ran to the back and I had to wait for the lucky winner to come up. I was very nice and respectful meanwhile the black chick wouldn't look me in the eyes, would barely say anything and acted like she was held at gunpoint. They acted this way with every white customer and everyone was being nice to them. There's still a lot of us that don't have power from the storm. Now is not the time for your unnecessary hate towards a stranger that was nothing but kind. I wouldn't be here if I had power. Nasty workers here. They were all like that. All rude to the white customers. I was gonna go through thr drive thru but it was closed due to storm damage which is very understandable. However, they left huge trees blocking one entrance with no barrier blocking it off so people drive into the trees at night because there's no street lights and 2 lights fighting for life in the parking lot. While this place is not Lieus--it pretty darn good for quick and easy Chinese food For under $10 you can get plenty of food! I generally get veggies--they have always been crisp and slightly crunchy-- not soft or mushy The rices have always been good white , brown or fried I often get the walnut shrimp ($1 extra) which again is not bad for a chain restaurant -- not as fresh as Lieus but that's not a fair comparison. The chow mein--( lo mein--where I come from). was a little firm for the noodle consistency. I was hoping for more of a spaghetti type. I really love Panda especially when I can get freshly cooked food but after arriving at 7:45PM this evening, there was hardly any food left. The few pans that had a little food were not even fresh. I asked if they planned to make any of the many dishes they were completely out of and the female server said "no." I asked her when they normally stop cooking every evening and she replied between 7:45 and 8:00PM but at 7:45 everything left looked already stale and so they must have stopped around 7:00PM or so. She went on to explain that they didn't want to waste any food by throwing it out at the end of the night when the drive through closes at 9:00PM but that was still an hour and 15 minutes away. She made me feel like I wasn't important as a customer. My son and I were hungry and so I reluctantly picked out 2 of the 3 last food items available but now I regret it. I should have walked away like I have done at least 2 other times at this same Panda when there wasn't any fresh food over an hour before closing. Now I wish I had taken a picture and included it on this review just to prove what I'm saying is factual. On top of everything else, the staff is also not very friendly. Not too long ago, just before the original Panda in Pasadena California closed for remodeling, I ate their with my family and it was great! What a disaster of a place. Waiting 20 minutes for cold fast food and still don't have complete order. Oddly enough people behind me were getting food and only until I went up to counter for a SECOND time did a NEW bowl of food came out and they scooped from it. So behind me people were being served while they stacked up plates for the poor saps that came in before. People in front of me got a refund and food. The couple behind me got free appetizer. I don't know what the poor guy that ordered online got after waiting I know for 30 minutes but all I got was attitude. I managed to talk at least two families to go elsewhere on the way out pointing out the people waiting still. They agreed this was not the place to be. Let me give you another bit of advice I didn't notice until I went back to get the rest of my order. They put the plates upside down stacked on each other after writing on them handling money and whatever else they do all with no gloves. Dragging the plates across the counter, again rubbing it down the line over other peoples nasty. I took a picture of the stack of waiting orders. If management wants to take a look my order was at 10/5/2019 at 6:21pm. Check around for the next hour at how many refunds and how long the drive through clock was ticking for. I noticed a countdown on that of nearly 30 minutes. This staff needs some retraining and needs it fast before you lose more than just the 4 family's I talked to tonight that got the shaft by your company or dhec watches them drag their unwashed ungloved hands across everyone's plates. We got the shrimp with pecans this time though and holy crap it was good. Of course it was made fresh so that probably contributed to how good it was. The management apparently had instructed the staff to ask to round up. What a windfall for them if all cash customer have to roundup to the next dollar. CHA-CHING!!! Should have rounded down since no change being available was managements fault. This seems highly unethical to me. Since the restaurant wasn't prepared for the customer with proper supplies, yes, including the ability to make change, the onus for the shortcoming should be on them. If you like fast convenience food this place is it! It has a drive thru but I like to walk in and get my order. The food is readily behind a clear glass window with labels of the food so you can pick out what you want (just like an ice cream parlor lol). I normally get the plate which is 2 entrees and a side. (psst...you can tell them you want to half the sides so you can have 2 sides instead of one large side.. that's if you like variety like me ;) ) My favorite is their Mushroom Chicken and Beijing Beef with a side of chow mein and mixed vegetables. Im obsessed with their mixed vegetables, they taste very fresh and have a crisp when you bite into them! If I could give this place a 0 I would. I tried ordering online with the family promotion (keep in mind this was food for 12 people). When I did the online options for 1 family and adding 4 bigger plates plus a bunch of other items it came to less than $80. I tried calling to ask why my promotion wasn't coming through since it was supposed to be $20 for the family meal and they said there was nothing they could do. So I went and ordered it here and asked and they said they could do 20%off the whole order for regular 3 prices family meals plus egg rolls and got over $100. Worst customer service I've ever experienced in my life with terrible management. I'm never coming back here and I'd rather spend my $100 for a place that actually values my business and does everything within their power when their systems are down. read more
