Second time here and I was a little disappointed compared to the first time I was here. First time was absolutely delicious. But then this last time was a little disappointing. I ordered the orange chicken, Beijing beef and the chow mein. Chow mein tasted stale like it was sitting there for a long time. Beijing beef wasn't spicy, and the orange chicken tasted like the Beijing beef but without veggies. I've never seen orange chicken so dark before. I also think they forgot the orange flavoring in the orange chicken. I came during dinner rush around 5ish as well. This place is completely lazy. Rude. We went in an hour before closing, and they wouldn't serve us. They had AirPods in and we didn't even get to order. Six workers and still a lot of time to eat. We went thru the drive thru and got Orange Chicken and Chicken Teriyaki. We got home and there is no teriyaki on the chicken. So I called the restaurant in Festus, MO and the girl on the phone said that Teriyaki chicken does not come with teriyaki, you have to ask for it. Is there a reason the lobby is no longer open?! I find it pretty aggravating, as this is the closest Panda to my house (about 35 minutes) so when I want it, I can't just sit down and eat it, and by the time I get home, my food is cold. I would get it if it were actually an issue across the business, but the one in Arnold is open, so it seems like it is just that they don't want to pay enough people to work in the lobby. Getting what you want is hit and miss here. This is the fourth time I've done the drive through. I have never gotten my first choice. Once I left; once I waited. Once I changed my order. Tonight was the capper. I got my order--veggies and string bean chicken breast. However, neither of my husband 's two choices were available. So he changed his order. And she gave him the last of the string bean chicken breast. I'm really not that picky--I'm on Weight Watchers, and I know the points on what I ordered. My family loves Panda and we frequent here at least every week. The food is always fresh and the inside is always clean when we come in.

This location is constantly "out" of items, seemingly at all times. I have never seen anything like it at any other restaurant. I enjoy the food here so I stop by often, but end up leaving empty handed almost half of the time because they consistently don't have my order. Every time I come they are out of something. Having to travel the USA a lot for business has given me quite a diverse palate. Asian cuisine is one of my favorites. I have dined at many Asian restaurants in my 60 years on this earthy realm. I am quite shocked at the low review rating this location has. As this area has my home base for the last 15 years and I have been frequenting this Panda location since it first opened. The staff has always been very friendly although I do miss Sydney as she was amazing. I have enjoyed the drive-thru service as well as the take out service. As for those who want to complain about wait time I prefer to be patient and wait as I would rather have my food hot and fresh as opposed to sitting in the pan for the last hour as this location is by far not the busiest in their chain. From the Shanghai Beef to their outstanding Black Pepper Chicken I have always had great food and service from this location. The best in their chain I have experienced. Compared to the other three Asian dining options this city has this is by far the best. The oriental buffet located by the Rent-A-Center is hit and miss at best. If the food is hot and fresh it is very good but more often than not it has been in the pan too long and is too dry for palatable enjoyment and the service and friendliness is lackluster at best. Their frog legs and fried rice are outstanding when fresh. China One must have a deal with bugs bunny as their dishes are overwhelmed with carrots and lack authentic flavor and is a no go anymore for me. And what really gets me is that Lam's Garden gets four stars as my cats' food has more flavor and taste than the dishes served there and I have tried a half dozen times to find some enjoyment in their style of Asian cuisine but have since stopped trying as for me it is a waste of money and time. They are popular as when you dine in their phone never stops ringing. If this is what gets four stars in this area of the country for Asian food I suggest the locals here should be travelling a little more. So is Panda really a five star dining experience? Obviously not but for my palate it is the best in their chain and I gave it five stars to offset the truly ignorant rants given to this location. Rice is hit and miss and the 5-10 times I've ordered something with the sauce on the side never get the sauce. The last time this happened went back service inside was horrible, they ignored me till I asked for help and when I asked for a bag to put the sauce cup in they acted as if I was annoying them. The girl that took my order wanted to wait to give me all of my food at the same time. I asked if i could go ahead and start eating as my husband received his order and was going to be eating. The workers need to focus on one set of customers at a time. They ahould not be mixing front orders and drive thru orders at the same time. One person should start and follow through to finish a order, not switch workers. If the pan of serving food is completely empty and someone orders what the label is, the worker should make sure that if there is something other than just the meat in it as labeled, to make sure the customer knows and verify if that is still ok. It understandable that workers may want to eat a different fast foods meal but they should not eat it in the main dining area with other customers around, this is not a good impression. And lastly if they are not happy and friendly with customers than maybe this is not the right job choice. read more

This is easy one of the best places to go! Our saucy towel of a cashier, Brett, was fantastic! He took our money and gave us a fabulous yet insulting compliment. Keep it up! Went in tonight and paid for large sizes of premium dishes (Shanghai Steak and Walnut Shrimp to be skimped out of almost a 4th of the package!) oh and had to wait for more Honey Walnut Shrimp to be made! Seriously! Went last week at lunch and was told they were out of Honey Walnut Shrimp. I would rather make the extra drive to Arnold then deal with this place! The food is so so but what is expect. What I did not expect is that on many occasions at various times in the evening, I have been told that certain signature items (teriyaki chicken, orange chicken) were unavailable. I was told that they had run out and since it was nearing close, they had not made more. I was offered the option to wait but was offered in a way that made me feel likely was being unfair to expect it. Then I waited a full 20 minutes for the order to be brought out. Once, I had to wait 10 minutes in my car with all of the food going cold while they located and opened more teriyaki sauce! Now tonight, I am sitting in front of the store in my car with NO food because - although I arrived at the door at 9.05pm, apparently I can only order through the drive through. The door hours say they close at 9.30. It says nothing about drive through only at some point. I assume that this is so that they can break down and clean and since I have many years of food service experience, I get that. But in every restaurant I have worked for, we have served the customers Until closing time and Then cleaned the store. We sat many nights well past closing while last minute customers finished their meals. I rarely come here anymore as there are two other real Chinese restaurants in Festus but I wanted a quick bite tonight. I didn't want to eat it in my car though so I'm off to Lam's garden instead and I won't be back to Panda Express again. This is the second time that I have visited this location. I ordered the Orange chicken and it was way over cooked. It was hard to chew. I also got the chow main. All I can say was it was okay. One of the most awful Panda Express chain stores I have been into. Slow service, old dried burned food that has sat all day. I went in and looked at the food, just a few pieces of orange chicken in the warming dish. I asked if they could make new and they said no they are not allowed to. I don't understand the other reviews. They're so wrong! The food is fantastic. It's never been cold and nothing has ever been burned. Every single thing we've had is wonderful. Our favorites are the orange chicken, Bejing beef, honey walnut shrimp and the Shanghi beef. The Teriyaki chicken is good too. We go 2 or 3 times a month. It's our favorite! The staff here is very friendly. I come in once a week at least and they are nice and polite all the time. I get asked for samples as well, just in case I want something different.
