We went in to grab some food a little before 8. The restaurant does not close until nine and we were greeted by an angry employee mumbling about to a coworker about she's just about to go lock the doors. She let us stand there for about 5 minutes or so before even acknowledging us and then proceeded to take our order with a snarky attitude. This service made me feel unwelcome to spend my time and money here and to sit and enjoy my meal. My friends actually said she was scared to order a Togo order for a friend before we left because of the attitude we received. I was not pleased with the employee or service at all! read more

I have visited this location numerous time since it opened a few years ago. I must say, the food has always been tasty and hot. The two major complaints is that they allow themselves to run out of food. The last two times I was there, they were out of the entrée I was craving and had to wait nearly 15 minutes for them to bring it out to me. Not sure this should happen especially if they're not busy. The second complaint is that the floor is extremely sticky and often times tables are left dirty too long. However, the good out weighs the bad and I will definitely return and I'd recommend you do the same. read more

We have gotten food from this site two out of 5 times. Three visits we were told that they were basically out of everything. Today was I think the first time that the young lady behind the speaker was so horribly rude. I ordered my first meal, chicken with green beans and white rice. I get a "We're out of both of those things". This has been the case to prior visits. So i started to ask when they are most likely to not be out of most items. Before I vould get my question out I was rudely interupted by this young lady "We had 4 call ins today so we haven't gotten things ready". To which I calmy stated that I wasn't going to as about staffing. "I was just telling you so you know what happened". Terrible service, never have food items. Customer service stinks here. This place has some serious work to do if it's going to last in Portage. read more

Just going to say I ate here and spent the night in my bathroom. I love panda and eat at panda near my house at least twice a month and never get sick. read more

Drove 10 miles to pick up dinner for myself and my wife, only to be told we're out of brown rice again! That is three times in a row that I have come to this location and they tell me they have no brown rice, why they are not capable of making brown rice when it runs out I have no idea but I am never coming back. Don't recommend this place to anybody read more

Ordered from app. Said it would be ready at 245. Got there and they said they were waiting on fried rice. Finally a few minutes later the guy starts making more fried rice. The rice had no taste. Soy sauce was almost non existent. The peas and carrots in rice were hard Honey chicken was dry. Had requested soy sauce and wasn't given any read more

This place is so disorganized, slow and they were out of half of the menu items at 5:00pm. I'm not exaggerating. Stood in line for 25 minutes. 1 employee on the serving line who was taking money AND handling food without washing hands. read more

Very slow service. Moderately clean dining area. Needs significant improvement. I witnessed several people leave after seeing the line that barely moved. Lots of lost potential business due to their inefficiency. The food is good, but not at good as other panda expresses. read more

I really like this place I rarely say that. This restaurant just satisfies me. I have no complaints really.

I utilized Panda Express for catering and they were wonderful. Patrick took care of everything we needed as well being prompt and professional. read more

Food generally decent, however drive through sucks big Donkey ding Dong. Expect to wait 25 plus minutes to get your food.

I ordered online. BIG mistake. I arrived at the store at the time I was given for pick up. The order wasn't even started yet. I had to wait 25 minutes to finally get my order. It would have been much faster to just go through the line because people that showed up after me that went through the normal line got my food before me. So what's the point of ordering on line if I could just get my food faster standing in line. The food was ok nothing great. There is much better Chinese food down the street from a ma and pa shop and they are quicker. read more

Very slow service. Cashier spaced out not even acknowledging customers right away, resulting in us repeating ourselves several times. Food was all over cooked from the chow mein to the egg rolls. Not sure maybe just a bad day but it's enough to turn me away. I will not return to this location. read more

tried this place 4 times at different hours hoping that the food quality might be better when they are slower with costumers NO LUCK food has been oddly stale like its been sitting a long time a couple items were ok at best only thing it has over the other chinese restaurants is the drive through and that doesn't make it worth the food quality. the 2 places down the street have better food and quality for your money I WILL BE SURPRISED IF THIS PLACE STAYS OPEN IN THE FUTURE AFTER THE NEWNESS WARES OFF SADLY DISSAPOINTED read more

Always out of the teriyaki chicken been here 3 times will never be back. Terribly ran business can't wait for it to go out of business and get something there that's worth a hoot read more

The employees here take their time with every single guest and make each one of them feel amazing by the time they get to the check out line ! My servings are always spot on and food is always so good I seem to keep coming back for more. Would absolutely recommend this Panda Express than any other one I've gone to ! Will definitely be back ! read more

They never have enough food in stock. It's rare that you can even get the Chx teriyaki on any day. They screw up the order nearly every single time. "Express" is a joke as you can expect to sit in the drive thru for a minimum of 15 minutes. Save yourself the hassle and frustration. I can't figure out how these guys are still in business. read more

This is the McDonalds of chinese food. If your into getting fat and eating cat this is the place for you. The food is average and the service is slow. If you want higher quality and locally owned I would recommend King Wha just down the street. read more

Panda Express is not my favorite Chinese in the world by any stretch of the imagination but it scratches an itch when I've got one. My problem, however, stems from the ridiculously longing wait time. Over 20 minutes in the drive thru is kind of ridiculous. While the girl who took my order was apologetic because there were no less than 5 minutes from when I pulled up to the speaker to when she actually took my order and then all the time spent waiting in line as well. In fact, at the time there were only 3 of us in the drive thru. So, why did it take that long? The food was warm at best, not hot as if it were made fresh. I'm seriously thinking it would have been faster to actually go to another Chinese restaurant. Oh and then they were completely out of what I ordered- the mushroom chicken. Not happy. read more

Good food the few times that we've went. Slow slow slow service. 10 minute wait outside the window waiting to pay. 10 minutes waiting out front for my mixed veggie side. Poor service. It seemed like the lady helping me was so confused at my request for two plates. I'll eat again though because that food is dang good. read more

If I could give no stars I would. This place consistently has poor customer service and also runs out of items. I placed an order yesterday for a double plate of chicken teriyaki and when they said it was going to be a 20-25 minute wait I agreed and the employee acted annoyed that I decided to wait. This place needs to get better management and train their employees in customer service. Unacceptable. read more

Worst place I've eaten in a long time. The drive through is ridiculously slow always. I've drove out from the drive through line twice because of how slow they were and others have done the same. My mom got their mushroom chicken and it was awful and not even a decent amount of food. My orange chicken was super tangy and hard and the ragoons had barely any flavor. We will never go back. read more

sooooooo painfully slow. I had to go. 1 person making up orders and 1 person on the register . 1 customer in front of me getting 3 meals and I waited almost 15 minutes and still didn't get food. It was just sitting there uncovered getting cold.... too many cooks and not enough service... many employees walking back and forth and I'm not sure what they were doing but they weren't helping to get the customers out the door. Need to get organized a bit more or something. read more

Great food! Great value for your money, friendly staff, very clean restaurant and bathrooms! The egg rolls are great and so is the broccoli beef. The almond shrimp is excellent also I didn't get any drinks so I wonder if they are unlimited refills? To go for seemed to get more than on store eating, but I think it depends on what you order. Over all a very excellent addition to Elkhart! read more

When we walked in the line was empty and I get that some times that happens but it was like that for a good 30 min. I ordered my food but there was something that wasn't made that I ordered so I realized I would have to wait but it was about 40 minutes before it was given to us. The cashier was very rude and I will not be coming back to this panda. This place is a disgrace to Panda Express. read more

The food here tastes pretty good usually but the service is terrible! The dining tables are always all dirty like they never get wiped down, always have to wait for the rice to cook and the employees have zero clue what is going on between one customer to the next. It's really sad considering how well they're paid at this restaurant! Complete dud. read more

Long wait in drive through line-pouring rain, not enough.coverage from the tiny roof. Ordered a bigger plate, grilled chicken teriyaki-requested extra sauce on the side. Waited 15 minutes, received my food through rain at another poorly covered area-got Home and surprise, no sauce anywhere. Tough, bland chicken and undercooked rice. Called and left a message requesting a call back please-and of course, no response. Similar issues when I've ordered in the store-poor food quality, incomplete order-not going back. read more

Line was out the door and staff was swamped. I didn't mind. I only wished they wore gloves to serve the food. I swear a worker was scratching their nose LOL They have a lot of space and the tables could of had workers clean it up for customers to sit, instead of using it as a "break" table. Loved Panda Express since it opened up at UP Mall many many years ago and will miss the convenience of shopping and grabbing a bite there. I don't think the restaurants taste as good as the one at the mall. read more

Horrible service. Waited 40 minutes in line . Our food was cold by the time we received it. Our egg rolls were burnt. Our fried rice was white with no flavored. Looked and tasted more like cooked white rice. Will not go back here. If you want a good chinese place make the drive to the U.P mall and go to cjao cajun. You won't be disappointed. read more

several lunches at this location during the week. dont understand why they never have mixed veggies ready and usually several people waiting in line. Waited nearly 10 min with only 3 in front of me with completely full trash cans (really?). Panda Express locations elsewhere exude more smiles and much better service. This location is way to new to be having problems like this. Fix it please. read more

This restaurant has some amazing entrees, BUT why are the noodles ALWAYS COLD? I don't care for fried rice, so I always get the noodles and they're always cold. I love egg rolls, but I tried one there once and it was burnt. I didn't complain because someone else was buying and I didn't want to seem unappreciative. I've noticed since, however, that they always look burnt. The service also leaves a little something to be desired. There's one manager who is so dry. I'm not sure she's capable of smiling. She certainly isn't accustomed to greeting customers. She's jyst generally unpleasant. I used to always get the entree with chicken, mushrooms and squash, but request the squash be avoided. The employees have always tried and were fairly successful at not giving me much, if any squash. The last time, however, the manager got my food and it was about half squash, like I'd requested extra. Today I just avoided that entree. They always have a sign on the side door asking customers not to use it, but today I watched an employee go out that door and prop it open with a dirty tray. We were seated close to the door and with two feet of snow on the ground, it was quite unpleasant to have that door propped open. read more

Was first in line at the drive thru. Ordered 2 orange chicken and a teriyaki chicken with sauce. Got to the window and paid but then was told that there was a ten minute wait for the teriyaki chicken. Should have been told that when we ordered, but oh well. Pulled around and parked. They said they would bring out the food. Ten minutes passed. Fifteen minutes passed. I watched people go in and eat and come out in the time during which we waited. Finally had to go in the restaurant and make a scene in order to get my food. A rude cashier wanted to argue with me about how long I had been outside waiting. Finally got the food, got out to the car and no teriyaki sauce. Had to go back in and raise hell to get it. Terrible experience. Unbelievable how poorly ran this establishment is. If you know you open at 11, why isn't the food prep done when the doors open?! I get that it's a new restaurant, but if it wasn't ready to open, it shouldn't have opened. read more

I love their food. I also like how you can order it right away. My favorite dish is the Orange chicken With Chow mein.

First time there and the server was very helpful. Plus one of the prepers even helped us out with getting a bag to go for our leftovers

We were really excited when this store opened a few years ago, we previously would drive to the UP mall or the one by Meijer in Mishawaka. This location is awful!!! Expect *AT LEAST* a 25-30 minute drive through wait time (for just one meal!). We'd go about 2 times a week, sometimes during dinner, sometimes during lunch. The last time we went, we waited in line for 42 minutes!!! For one meal of orange chicken with fried rice! Nothing fancy or weird about the order. We finally get to the window to pay, and we see a girl put up her filthy shoe on the COUNTER where they prepare food, to tie her shoe! She then redid her ponytail with bare hands and proceeded to get the drink ready (touching cup, lid, straw) with her same hands that touched her hair and dirty shoe! So disgusting!!! After seeing the other reviews, it's pretty apparent this is considered normal there. SO GROSS. Haven't returned since! read more

It's barely dinner time (7:15 on Friday) and the are out of 2 entrees. Maybe I should reconsider when dining on CAssopolis Street since there are many choices. Maybe whoever orders food should rethink the Friday night supply. read more

I really like the food. I had 1 time that they had run out of what I wanted and they basically said that since closing time was an hour away they weren't making any more. I thought was poor customer service. Because I've never spent less than 20 minutes going through the drive through I used the app for the first time and ordered 3 hours in advance. Arrived to pick it up right on time and surprisingly there was not one car in line. I pulled up to the window and told the girl I had a pick up order and gave her my name. She closed the window and walked away. After about 5 minutes I tried to see what was happening inside and also to try and get someone's attention. I noticed on the counter that there were bags packed and ready to go. About 2 minutes later the girl walked back, picked up the bag that was sitting there the entire time of my wait and gave it to me. I have no idea what she was doing as my order was prepaid and my food was obviously on the counter. I felt like they want you to wait no matter what and the fact that they have "express" in their name just boggles me. Anytime I've been there it's been quite the opposite. I will go back because I like the food but no matter how I order I'll make sure that I have time to wait and I'm not on any timeline to be somewhere else afterward. read more
