I went to Panda Express for a quick dinner. I ordered the protein plate not knowing that it was limited to how the pictures show it in the restaurant. When the lady serving me asked me if I wanted a regular plate I said yes. Give me what I wanted except for the huge amount of white rice I didn't want. I wanted super greens, orange chicken, and teriyaki chicken, with spring rolls. Changed me $13 and didn't fix my order. I was looking forward to this meal and I'm really upset. The food is always good here, when they have it available. Today was a surprise because they had all the pans full and ready for dinner service. They didn't have my string bean chicken though. Had the new entree Crispy Hot Shrimp. Not bad just not hot enough for my taste. I used their app which is pretty simple but the time I wanted to order just one egg roll the app wouldn't let me just could order 6 NOT. First Panda Express that "ran out of" lot of food items. We got in line and 1/3 of their bowls were empty and others were all out. When asked about specific items, we were told they are out, didn't bother saying it's being made, just that it's out. Wow.. just WOW! I placed a mobile order this evening around 9:15pm after our initial plan of a Pizza Hut dinner fell thru. Given sports schedules & activities, dinner was already incredibly late this evening and I was so beyond ready to just get food & get home. Coupled with the fact that our previous order for PH was sent to a location apparently no longer in service, I was already pretty frustrated. I got a text message around 9:23 indicating my order was ready. I headed inside to be met with no food waiting for me, so I asked (what I assume was) the manager about how long my order would take. He walked down to the front of the line and looked at my order ticket.. he pointed to the food they had left in their serving bowls & said "we don't have enough". At this point my blood is boiling because I've got a car full of hungry kids & this is the SECOND TIME today that my money was gladly taken for a food order that could not be fulfilled (see my previous Pizza Hut review!). The manager didn't seem very apologetic, the young kid who printed my refund receipt was very apologetic and even offered up a coupon for a free meal. I declined because I just wanted to get out of there as fast as possible to figure out a plan C. By 9:15 the dining room had been torn apart and was being cleaned. Workers were doing all the dishes & starting to remove the food from under the heat lamps. 45 minutes to close.. if they're THAT much in a hurry, then it sounds like they have business disabling mobile orders after 8:30pm! I seriously can't believe this place stays in business. We went to the drive thru tonight and waited 30 mins just to get to the order spot whereupon we asked to order two orders of Orange chicken. We were then informed that we are out of Orange Chicken, and would you please pick something else, so we did. We then wait another 15 minutes in line for the cars in front of us to clear the delivery window, only to be told that the choices we picked at the order post.....oh by the way.... we don't have those either. We thought well, this place must be absolutely swamping busy if they don't have all these items and they are so slow in the drive thru. When we pull up to the drive through window.... There is only one person actually working and there were three employees standing there in the drive thru order window area yacking and twiddling their thumbs. There was practically no one inside the restaurant. #1 Why are we out of one of the most popular menu items at dinner time? In the 40 minutes I waited in the drive through they could have made a batch of it. #2 Where Is the management of this business? Do they consider 40 min drive thru times "Acceptable"? When the inside is not busy at all? Or is there really no management at all.... Any single employee that worked there that night would scream Bloody murder if they were treated the same way their customers were treated this night if they were out getting fast food. I'd say regional management of these franchises better get with the owner of this one and tell them to get their spit together. I used the drive through today at the Elkhart IN location near Cassopolis St. First, the to-go container is smaller than before the pre-pandemics days. Second, the fried rice was either under cooked or had been setting too long without being served, because it had very, very, firm texture. Third, the to-go container has three divided sections; two small ones and one larger section. You guessed it, the double entree was in the smaller sections and the "large" portion of fired rice was in the large section. So I paid for way more fried rice than the double chicken entree. I tried anew choice, the Honey Sesame Chicken entree, and needless to say I am very disappointed with this lunch meal. I cannot in good conscience go back to this location, and will be very hesitant to spend money at others now. Companies, consumers are not stupid, we notice the smaller packaged products for the same or slightly higher prices. You know better, now do much better, or lose customers like this one! Be careful when eating your food. This piece of orange chicken had a piece of metal in it. When shown to the manager all they said is we can recook it for you. I had to tell them that is not the problem you probably want to check the rest of the chicken and tools to make sure it doesn't happen to someone else. Came through the drive thru at 10:34am because their hours said they open at 10am. No one answered the speaker or the phone when we called and no one came to the window. Ran an errand and came back just after 11am and they were open. I asked the girl helping us what time they open and she said 10am. so I told her how we were there at 10:34 and no one was here and she just smirked and shrugged her shoulders and couldn't explain why no one was there at 10am. There was also another gentlemen there that came up to the counter to complain about something in his food and the kid working said he couldn't do anything about it as he "didn't have authorization" and told him he'd have to come back. Tonight, again, (this is my first review), we were welcomed with NO NOODLES, had to wait for rice, and when I got my beef and broccoli, I literally had been given about 1/8 of a cup of beef to 1 1/2 cups of broccoli. While you are waiting on one entree to be cooked, the rest of your meals are getting cold as they are already prepared. Pulled up to the drive through at 9:05pm on a Saturday night and was told by the employee at the drive though that they are not making any more food and then he lists of maybe six items you can have and that all they have is white rice. No reason why, no sorry, just that's it take it or leave it. We are starving after a long drive and have to take it. Drive up to window and take picture of hours. Still have 55 min to be open. I've driven up to some as late as 15 min before they close and they will make what you want, you just have to wait. Not here. Here you are just getting leftovers and no customer service. Called the General Manger (Tiffany Arthur) and still waiting for a call back over a week later. Which translates to "do you speak Spanish?" Me and my family all speak perfect English. The food is good, but the service is TERRIBLE. Of the dozen or so times I have gone there, my experience was flawless ONLY once. The other times, portions of the order were missing, sauces were not included, the store did not have key menu items available, etc. Usually the people are friendly and make it right when informed. The straw that broke the camels back was when I ordered within an hour of closing, the person said there would be a wait (which I was fine with). However, after a 20 minute wait half the order was missing. When I informed the people inside that they forgot half the order, they pretty much refused to give me my food. The restaurant does not close until nine and we were greeted by an angry employee mumbling about to a coworker about she's just about to go lock the doors. She let us stand there for about 5 minutes or so before even acknowledging us and then proceeded to take our order with a snarky attitude.
