Butter burger, fries and cheese curds

Always wanted to try Culver's. Got the double butter burger, which was pretty good. It gave me fancier and bigger McDouble vibes. Tasty and the bun was soft and added well to the burger. Crinkled cut fries were well seasoned and crispy. And the cheese curds were crispy and gooey on the inside. If I went again I would try a different burger and maybe one of the dessert options.

    So clean!!!

Exceptional service going above & beyond! Kind people who are happy to be here, everyone helps! Food tasted wonderful & was made the way it was ordered. The atmosphere is so upbeat & the restaurant all the way from outside to inside is very clean!! Kudos to the owner whose name is proudly on the door!!

Weird blob in my grilled cheese

I had something weird in my grilled cheese. It kind of looks like mold. Even if it's not I know that whatever it is isn't supposed to be inside the sandwich. The fries were yummy as usual though.

Great food, great service. Friendly staff. And effortless start to finish. The malt is like drinking a chocolate cloud, so very good.

    Chicken tenders and onion rings

When my fiancé come out to the Midwest we try to revisit places we can't find in NH. So we're now here coming back to Culver's, who we love, to have some of their famous butter burgers. I know there's a lot of people who'll talk about which chain is best - In and Out, Shake Shack, Five Guys, etc. Not going to debate that - just talk about our experience here in Elkhart IN. My fiancé got the mushroom swiss burger and onion rings. She said the burger was delightful and had lots of flavor. The onion rings are battered, not breaded, and were cooked to perfection- sweet onion and crunch on the outside. I went for the bacon cheddar burger and an order of chili cheese fries. Culver's burgers are available in single, double or triple so I opted for the double with all the fixin's. The burger had that crunchy texture the butter burgers are known for along with the added crunch of bacon. The bun was soft and fresh. Great burger! The fries are the crinkle cut variety, smothered in cheese sauce and chili. The ratios were good. I'm a fan of their chili, so this was a great pairing. Lastly, we split an order of chicken tenders. Another fine choice. Breaded chicken fried just right so it's crunchy on the outside and tender, juicy and flavorful inside. We paired these with honey mustard and a side of gravy. Good honey mustard, and so-so gravy. We thought it was a little shy on flavor- almost artificial tasting. Although we didn't go inside, the people at the drive thru and the person who brought the food out were Super friendly! We have to say that the service here is top notch. Overall for this Culver's - an easy choice - 5 stars all around.

Regarding the custard -We ate dinner next door at the Olive Garden because we are on a road trip and wanted some solid food to eat before heading back east. I think if I had one more something with fries I might die or I would have chosen to try something here. We walked over to Culver's for some custard treats and were delightfully surprised. At this point, Yelp doesn't even have a category for custard, and they should because this stuff is similar to soft serve with a creamier taste and thicker consistency. I give it 5 MMMMM's. Both the indoor and outdoor spaces are extremely clean and pleasant. The service was very helpful and nice and suggestive. There is a drive through as well. I can't believe I am the first person to do a review of this place, not from being remotely in the area. Per people from the East, think DQ but better organized and cleaner. Lots of love to this place- short review as I am hitting the road.

They weren't stingy with the toppings either. Homemade chips, juicy burger, good size portions - and VERY reasonable prices - couldn't be better. Now, our waitress Kayla was wonderful too! Kayla laughed and smiled with us, knew the menu, and her service was wonderful! If you go there, ask for her! We ate outside on a beautiful day on the lake. Just a fun, nice place to eat!

It was one of the better restaurant experiences that we've had recently. Located a mile north of the Indiana Toll Road, we found this place based on a search knowing this area was where we wanted to stop for dinner on our traverse to Chicago. It looked like a fun spot from the description and was certainly something different. An additional consideration was that we had our 21-month-old granddaughter and needed a place where we could so find something that appealed to her. Burgers are usually a good bet. The location on Simonton Lake was beautiful. It facilitated a treat before we ever stepped into the restaurant. There was a family of swans on the water with the parents and their six cygnets. They were indeed fun to watch. The lake created a wonderful setting from the outset. Upon entry, we were greeted by the friendly staff and were accommodated with a booth in the main dining room quickly. Our waitress, Kayla, attended to us right away and did a terrific job. We were well cared for during our visit. The food was delivered in a timely fashion without undue delay. We started with an order of Onion Rings, which turned out to be a great choice. They were crispy with flavorful breading that was not so thick as to be overwhelming. We also tried a couple of cocktails. While we like a glass of wine with our meal, we're not really cocktail people. But these intrigued us. I tried the Peach Sangria, which was very good. My wife had the Jameson Ginger Sparkler. Jameson and Ginger Ale has been a favorite of hers since we experienced the Jameson Factory tour in Dublin several years ago. This concoction was a nice take on that theme. Both drinks were "dangerous" because they were so tasty that you didn't notice they contained alcohol. In spite of the fact that this is primarily a burger pub, we found two salads that intrigued us for our mains. One was actually in keeping with the theme of the restaurant, as my wife had the Flippin Burger Salad. As the name suggests, it featured burger on greens with her choice of honey mustard dressing. She shared that with our granddaughter. They were both happy with the choice. I had the Flippin Whitefish Salad. The fish was nicely done and it seemed appropriate since we were by the lakeshore. I found it to be quite satisfying with the raspberry vinaigrette dressing. Unfortunately, they no longer make their Mango Chardonnay Dressing that used to accompany this salad. I've never had the chance to try it but it sounds like they should consider bringing it back. The total for our meals with food, drinks, tax and tip was $68. At $34 each as well as having enough to feed a toddler, we were very happy with this given the experience. We'll look forward to a return visit now that we know this place is there.
