Rarely had issues with anything until an employee I haven't seen before gave me the smallest entrees I've ever seen. I also didn't get my military discount which is normally not that big of a deal but that combined with small entrees definitely made my day worse. Went through the drive-thru and got halfway home, started eating my food in the car and found a cooked maggot. We decided to check the drinks too and there was dirt like particles and hair in it. We moved out here, we found it was the "sticks," but hey...now its home. Due to illness, I have to search and find foods to eat, that my stomach will allow, will help me gain weight (never thought I'd say that in life), and keep me well nourished. Let me tell you, not easy. In any case, being that I moved from Seattle, when looking at the available food options around; it's depressing! Magnolia...is, well...Magnolia (?) N 5=star, French cuisine, restaurants around here. They do have a McD's so, my kid is happy! I decided on Panda Express, yay! Simple, normal, chain, plus delivery. Yay! Received meal nice, hot, and fresh! The problem came in, when I opened the lid to my meal. My stomach was kinda turning over; it does it on a regular. So, instead of starting with the chicken and mushrooms, I went ahead and tried the spring rolls. As I picked up the anorexic little thing, it felt crunch, smelt odd, but again, not my normal. I have had spring rolls before, and like them - however, they are either Thai, or Vietnamese, and have peanut sauce for dipping. I am not really into Chinese spring rolls. So, I take a bite, the crunch was there...but, the inside was mush! It had a foul smell and the inside of the wrapper was wet; soggy even. I spit the first bite out, and looked at it little closer, and I have no idea what was in it; the cabbage was a brownish color, and God only knows what the other veggies were. Think one might have been a bean sprout, but I am not sure. Nasty!!!!! So, thinking it is me (my tongue being difficult), I put it down, take a sip of my cola (which was fine, though they put ice in it, when I asked them not to; so slightly watery) to clear my pallet. I grab a wonton and took a bite and the whole bottom of the wonton, where the cream cheese rests, was soggy, but what was weird is that the cream cheese (itself) was rubbery. I am not sure how THAT works. So, I did what I did with the spring roll, I take a closer look. The cream cheese seemed to have settled, and I am not sure how many hours these wontons were left out, but it seems that they were NOT fresh, nor were they under a heat lamp. Honestly, they tasted like they were made the day before, left out on the counter, supposed to have been tossed, but an employee forgot. Then they came in the next shift, took them, popped them in the microwave and sent them to me when I placed my order. Yuck! Nastiest -ish I have tasted in a long time. Now, I had intended on going back to the spring roll to see if my tongue was the problem. However, once I tasted the wonton, I knew that there WAS a serious issue with them...because the rolls and wontons were BOTH rank; I don't have another word outside of rancid to describe these nasty things; trash, and TRASH! Now, I hesitantly tasted one of the noodles, and it was bland; almost tasteless. Hmmmm...so I poke around and pick up rice, chicken and some mushroom. Again, thinking that its me, not the food; or how it was prepared. I put the food in my mouth, and I honestly cannot understand what happened, but I went to chew the food, and I had to spit it out. I am not even sure what made me gag...I just did. So, I stopped, and did it again. OMG. The food was the nastiest food I have TASTED in my life. Not from Panda Express, but fro anywhere! It wasn't food that had things in it that I didnt like (ex: tomatoes, olives, etc...) it was just down right, disgusting. It was over-cooked, the rice was hard, and dead! The seasoning used was WAAAAAAY too salty. They put soy sauce on it, instead of giving packets. They cooked the rice so hard that some of the pieces were stuck together and honestly hard; the kind of hard that if you threw it on a table you would her a "clicking" sound (like uncooked rice), instead of a wet thud (well cooked, and moist rice). It was good that they didn't season the noodles, if they have, I would have some sort of medical situation that would have had me admitted to the hospital! It tasted nasty. At one point, I wondered if someone took the seasonings used for kimchi (outside of the spiciness), and put it in the food, and served it before it was ready, like 20 hours, before it was ready. I am not sure what they did, but my little meal, one that I thought would be simple; was tossed. I have never gone back, I received a refund; if I never have the Panda Express from Dover again, it will be too soon. Hopefully, they have gotten better since this visit. All I know is that. I will not be going back. I do not know what, how, or who would change my mind, but if left up to me...there would be know way on this blue Earth that I would EVER go there again. I always love the food, but I have to say the portions are inconsistent. I ordered from them today and while I had great portions between the sweet fire chicken and honey sesame chicken, the noodles were strictly all cabbage and other vegetables, i barley had any noodles. I do like the food here, when they have it. As a word of advice, do not plan on ordering here after 8:00 pm. They stop making food about an hour and a half prior to closing. We arrived at 8:20 and they barely had 3 entrées available. They stated they weren't making any more food for the night and what they had was it. I can't believe that they stayed open another 40 minutes with little to no food. I'm interested to know what the 7 cars in the drive-thru were going to order. I come here sometimes and I stopped by around 8:30 to grab something. I order a plate with double lo mein and double teriyaki with a large tea ad 2 chicken egg rolls. I got my drink and was told I would have to wait 10 mins for my food and to pull to the front of building. Well that turned into 20 mins and they wasn't busy when I showed up nor when they were closing until I got tired of waiting so I went inside to find out that they forgot about my order and didn't make my egg rolls. Never been to a panda express so we went to the drive thru since terayaki chicken place in the mall line was crazy long. The crab rangoon is the bomb.com as my kid would say. Now don't bite it in the middle or the delicious goodness will spill all over you chin. They only come in 3's so you will need to get at least 2 orders. My kid had shrimp which cost extra and wasn't much in there. Tons of veggies over top of rice though. Kid said the shrimp was delicious but wasn't a fan of the veggies. I think I would give it another go just for the sheer fact it's Chinese and a drive thru. Friendly and fast service. read more

For something different this Christmas we decided as a family to order Panda Express for our meal. I must say everything was on point. We ordered enough food for 20+ people. There was plenty,it was hot, it was ready for the time requested (yesterday). Even plates, sauces, and fortune cookies. I wish I had gotten her name, I believe she was a manager there, she was so helpful, courteous, and helped me carry it to my car. Panda Express used to be very common and pretty much in every mall food court. I'm not sure what happened some 15-20 years ago but one by one, they all disappeared and I lost touch with the chain. So I was surprised to see one right along US-13 in Dover! This Panda Express is in a small strip mall on US-13 northbound. The tricky part is entering this strip mall at the correct opening. It looks like if you miss the entrance, there isn't a back way in from neighboring Dover Mall and you'll have to a bunch of cumbersome U-turns to return to the correct entrance. Let's get this out of the way first: Although this Panda Express has all the appearance of a fast casual restaurant, you aren't actually getting food that is any better in quality than a typical Chinese food vendor in a mall food court. There seem to be more choices and you can order sides and a Coke Freestyle drink, but they're basically dishing out your choices from steam trays and it's pretty much at that Chinese fast food level. Where I was impressed was their service. This restaurant is brand-new and unlike many older restaurants, the staff are super-helpful and take initiative to find out if you need anything. Also, all the dining area furniture is new and the restroom is very clean. I'd say enjoy this restaurant while it's still shiny and new. read more

My husband came though the drive thru the other day. He ordered the food, and when he got to the window he asked the girl if he could add a soda, she told him it was too late and he would have to drive back around. Little does she know I used to work at Panda and know that you can add a drink to the order, or she could have had him pay for the food and than rang up just a drink. I don't eat here that often but when I do, it's always a wonderful customer service experience and a variety of good food choices. When I went tonight it wasn't too packed so I was nervous , lol but when I got in the food was fresh and the staff very cheery and ready to assist. My favorite staff is Nashere , he's always very friendly and makes my visit. He's so relaxed even in the midst of a chaotic line (during Del-State Graduation specifically). I also got to encounter another great staff Deja tonight. She was very enthused about her job, and bragged about what she made tonight. It was good so I'm glad she bragged about it because it's in my plate (Sesame Chicken). I don't know how you all do your hiring process but I love the energy whenever I visit; keep it up ! read more

I enjoy Panda Express being that there are several of them back home in Austin, Texas. They have great Asian American fast food for a reasonable price. The past few times I've been here I end up waiting 10+ minutes in the drive thru for their most popular item and when I get it it's not even fresh... My son eats a kids meal from here at least three times a week. Everytime my boyfriend, my brother, or I come here, EVERY SINGLE DRIVE THRU EMPLOYEE is rude. I would highly recommend some customer service training. No greetings, no smiles, just straight ATTITUDE! I like to think of myself as the kind of person that never complains (no exaggeration), and definitely not enough to make a horrible review. On 1/23/19 me and my wife came into the Dover establishment just to simply have a polite meal.. every time we have been here in the past it hasn't always been pleasant we'll that was defiantly not the case tonight as me and my wife walked in starving. We were quickly and promptly serviced which was great but we asked for white rice and I had I guess took a little bit to get I mean it usually does but this time the woman had gotten us the rice set the container down and walked away into the back for about 3 minutes leaving us just standing there allowing the next guest in line to go ahead of us. I guess it would've been fine if the woman was getting gloves or something but instead the absence was followed by loud obnoxious laughter and banter between the employees the woman whose name was "ola" seemed out of it looking around and trying to remember what our order was. Everybody makes mistakes but most people own up to their mistakes and apologizes not this woman instead she cashed out out without one of our entrees leaving me to walk up to the counter and try to get her attention to ask where our last entree was she replied "oh we're waiting on the sweet fire. Understandable but don't you think if your customer service was bad then you would at least keep the chatter to a minimum while you have employees in the establishment that was not the case. I would rate this place with zero stars but my times here have been better in the past and I feel no stars is too harsh if you could even rate that low. It was quite a crowd dining in and three in the line when I walked in to the online pick up area. The guy, forgive me I didn't catch his name, finished up the first lady in line and asked my name for my pick up. He was very polite and wore a smile which is refreshing these days when it comes to customer service. He placed my food in bag and I was out the door in no more than 5 minutes.
