My wife and I stopped into this Panda Express for an event today and believe it or not, this was my first time eating at a Panda Express, so I am thankful to have the opportunity to explore this restaurant chain's take on American Chinese cuisine. This particular store is immaculately clean and the staff is genuinely friendly. I wasn't sure what to order so it took me a minute or two longer to figure out what I was craving; however, if you're a regular ordering is a breeze. I ordered two Panda Bowls; Grilled Teriyaki Chicken with Fried Rice and the Sesame Chicken with Lo Mein (about $7.10 each). I added a Bai Coco Fusion ($2.40), the Veggie Spring Rolls ($2.00), and the Chicken Egg Roll ($2.00) to my order. We arrived around 2:00 pm (just after lunch) so, it wasn't too packed in here which was great, and fortunately for us, it seemed that all the hot food was recently stocked providing an opportunity for us to see all of their food options during the visit. Panda Express doesn't have the best American Chinese food I have ever eaten but their food was fresh, hot, filling, and priced competitive when compared to other restaurants in the area. I wasn't impressed with the veggie rolls or chicken egg roll, but all of the other food was tasty, especially with all the side sauces available for dipping. I couldn't get enough of that Hot Mustard Sauce; the Sweet and Sour & Chili Sauce was pretty darn good too. I can't say that I will make Panda Express (as a chain restaurant) a regular dining experience, but if I am in the DeLand Area, I will definitely consider coming to this particular location for lunch or dinner because of the freshness of the food, cleanliness of the store, and friendliness of their staff. This particular Panda Express is also close to DeLand Motorsports, Gaff's Meats, and Starbucks, so yes, I will be back!

Service was impeccable. Everyone that I encountered that worked there was really friendly. Very clean I side and well kept. The food line went very quickly! I ordered half rice and half lo mein with orange chicken and my plus one got the mixed greens and regular cut up chicken. They were both good, not so much the lo mein. I'm just super picky with my Asian food. Over all it was good!!

This particular Panda Express is a joke. If you can get past the stoned cashier mumbling through his useless covid mask (worn below his nose), who literally can not subtract 14 Dollars from 20 Dollars and arrive at 4 Dollars as the answer, and keep your pants dry after your fourth leaking cup, you can enjoy your lunch eating like a Neanderthal.....because this group of dedicated employees "ain't got no knifes today." ("knifes," not "knives.") I wonder what would happen if they "ain't got no cups today." Would you just walk over to the dispenser, wrap your lips around the Dr. Pepper nozzle and push that little silver lever with your forehead? You may be best served calling ahead to see if it is BYOK (Bring Your Own Knife) Day.

Found this inside my noodles at the bottom of my bowl..

While eating I found a bug mixed into the noodles at the bottom my bowl... the restaurant said it must have gotten in when they handed it thru the drive thru but it was dead and cooked and missing legs. Absolutely disgusting!

Panda Express is always my go-to when I'm binge watching something on Netflix. It's also a healthy option.

I ordered the combination shrimp and broccoli meal with an egg roll and fried rice. This ambience is nonexistent and while they have a couple of tables in there, there's a sign that says take out only. That seemed rude and unfriendly to me, but I wasn't planning on staying anyway. They had the ambience of the Chinese restaurants in New York and we never eat in those types. As for the food, I was surprised it was tasty. I even enjoyed the egg roll, which is always a hit and miss the shrimp and broccoli was very good. The broccoli was cooked properly and there were five large shrimp that was it. There was an abundance of yellow rice sprinkled with hiding pieces of roast pork, I think? Anyway, the rice isn't really why I'm there and I would've normally have gotten white rice, but they didn't have it. weird Anyway, I will go back again at some point as it wasn't terrible and surprisingly tasty. Very stingy with the number of shrimp, but they were the larger shrimp so there's that. I forgot to take pictures so that's my bad I was hungry

We enjoy trying new eateries and we chose the Royal Asian Bistro. What a treat!! The 5 star rating, in my opinion, was absolute! When we arrived, we were greated with a genuine, friendly smile and a "welcome". My hubby is a diabetic and I asked the young lady behind the counter if all their dishes were prepared with sugar (a BIG "no no" for a diabetic) or was it possible to order a dish made WITHOUT sugar. The receptionist went back to the kitchen to inquire an obtain an accurate answer (we really liked that .. no guesswork). We were told that many of the sauces for some dishes are already prepared containing sugar, but, some of those dishes contain a very small amount of sugar. Also, they had some dishes containing no sugar at all. This was pleasing to our ears and we decided to give it a try. The restaurant was was not large, and was neat and clean. It was fairly full already but we were seated immediately and given menus by a very friendly server who asked us what beverages we would like while deciding on our meal. We both are seafood lovers so we chose an appetizer of crab rangoons (6). I opted for an Asian Shrimp lunch special which came with a cup of very good, egg drop soup that had a suprisingly delicate, but very pleasant, enjoyable taste. Not the strong chicken noodly flavor that some places serve. I ate EVERY DROP. The JUMBO shrimp was in a lightly spiced garlic brown sauce with mixed veggies (green peppers, onions, mushrooms, broccoli, zucchini, carrots and a touch of celery). The sauce was "labeled .. hot garlic sauce" but my inquiry as to "how hot" was answered as "very little". Our server was right .. it had a delightful slight amount of heat that evolved only as you were swallowing. The dish consisted 10 or 11 JUMBO shrimp. I'm not kidding .. JUMBO! It was quite good ... and the portion was large (literally half of the plate). It came with tasty fried rice with a small amount of veggies in it that filled the other half of the plate! What an excellent lunch special and all of it .. cup of egg drop soup, jumbo shrimp with mixed veggies and fried rice .. all for only $10.99! I couldn't eat it all and took 1/2 of the shrimp dish home as well as the 6 crab rangoons ($6.99). We had ordered them to go. My hubby opted for a shrimp dish as well ... Thai Cashew Nut Shrimp .. lightly breaded jumbo shrimp, onion, green peppers, and carrots served in a very tasty brown sweet chili sauce .. Again JUMBO shrimp .. a large portion of about 10 shrimp at a cost of $15.99. Hubby changed the white rice to fried rice with only a $2.00 upcharge. Hubby ate the whole thing! He was a very happy camper. We each had a soda for our beverage. As a side note, when hubby tested his blood sugar in the evening .. it was at a normal level .. yeaaa! So, the small amount of sugar in his shrimp dish did NOT cause his blood sugar to spike .. GREAT NEWS for any diabetic .. no insulin shot was needed! Our lunch was really enjoyable .. in a quiet, friendly, clean, smallish sized restaurant, with attentive, happy servers, GREAT tasting food, and VERY REASONABLE prices. Our entire lunch .. a crab rangoon appetizer (6) that we ordered to go, my cup of egg drop soup (part of the lunch special) , 2 large portioned shrimp & veggie meals, and 2 sodas came to only $43.60. What a treat .. great food in a nice clean little restaurant, with very friendly people at great prices .. what more could a person want? If you enjoy Thai, Japanese & Chinese food at reasonable prices, I believe you'll enjoy the Royal Asian Bistro located in Orange City, FL in the shopping center right after The Olive Garden on Enterprise Blvd. We will definitely be going there again, and again! Happy day!!!

Got the chicken and the steak - hubs loved the chicken and I loved the steak. Veggies were yum. Even though there was a language barrier, the service is good. There was no steak item similar to Wong Lees on the menu. We ordered the main staple dishes for any Chinese restaurant; pork lomain, Mongolian beef, shrimp veggie, fried rice, and hot n sour soup. Food was cooked very fast but taste is just okay. Nothing really special. Unfortunately, I could have gone to a closer Chinese restaurant where I live and got a much better food experience. For me, this place is not my cup of tea.
