The food was good .. but service was terrible. We were traveling ordered ahead on the app got there at pickup time hadn't started on my order. Okay I am a patient person asked clerk what to do to let them know I was there to pick up replied someone will help you when they get time. Finally asked my name by another employee . Still hadn't started my order . Start it holding on part of it but assured me rest was ready. Food up I was waiting on fixed people s orders as they came in waited awhile longer finally 25 minutes after my order was supposed to be ready back on the road . Lesson learned read more

Service was very poor, I was asked to sit and they would bring my food, they kept serving more than a dozen of ppl before I asked for my food again then they still made me wait 20min before I asked a third time... then they closed the kitchen at 7:30 even though hours said open till 8p when I went to order some food to go. We are Panda Express regulars but this restaurant was probably one of the dirtiest I've ever eaten at. Food was not fresh, servers were very stingy with the servings and the women's bathroom was disgusting and had no toilet paper so I can only imagine what the back of the restaurant looked like. Was traveling thru Cleveland on a Thursday evening. The time was 9pm. I thought, I'll stop into Panda and enjoy a lite super veggies and chow mein snack on my way home. Stopped by. Doors locked, chairs on table. Sign says they close at 9:30. Guy mopping the floors tells me the dining room is closed. I show him the time on my phone screen - it's 9:10. He tells me to go to the drive thru. Disappointed, I walk back to my truck. Is it me or, since Covid, are chain fast food places the absolute worst about closing up shop early? If you say you close at 9:30 (it's posted on your website and near the front door of your business) why do you actually close at 9? I wonder, are owner operators ok with their employees simply turning away customers and throwing perfectly good food in the trash when it could've been paid for? When I worked at a pizzeria in high school we closed at 10. That meant that the vacuuming and mopping started at 10:01...not a half hour before. Ok, so although I am giving 4 stars, the food was probably a 3. The reason was easy to see, there was only 4 employees. They were all working hard and obviously trying to keep up. Only one cook on the line, 2 on drive through, and on working the counter line. I felt bad for all of them yet at the same time was also very proud of their commitment to keep going. Many of the options were out so I settled in Beijing Beef. It was good, however not that fresh or hot. Wanted the sweet fire chicken, however was told at least 11-15 min and I didn't have that much time. It's sad that businesses are suffering for lack of employees. Recently a friend asked, "Have you tried the new Panda Express on Paul Huff Parkway?" I said no and he gave me a 50% off coupon to try it out. I got the Big Plate, with three entrees and one side. The entrees were Orange Chicken, Mushroom Chicken, and Beijing Beef. The side was fried rice. First of all, the staff was nice, friendly, and quick. That was the high point of my visit. The fried rice tasted old - not a couple of hours old, but a couple of days old. The taste was imaginary as there wasn't a difference between a grain of rice and an egg and whatever vegetables were in it. Only the soy sauce had flavor. The Orange Chicken - The only orange thing about it was an almost orange-colored sweet sauce that had never seen an orange. Perhaps they wave an orange over the top of it but fail to include an actual orange taste anywhere. The chicken was very chewy, but what can you expect from a chicken that lived 25 years before dying of old age? The flavor profile was as dull as Joe Biden attempting to walk, but not as funny. The Beijing Beef - -It was as flavorful as the Orange Chicken and twice as tough. If I had a hole in my leather-soled shoes, it would have made a long-lasting patch. The Mushroom Chicken - This was the star of the meal (next to the fortune cookie). Tasty enough with zucchini, actual mushrooms, and a palatable sauce. Finally something with flavor that didn't threaten to break my teeth or wear out my jaws. If only the food was as good as the employees. The tables were freshly cleaned, the floor swept, and the utensil area wasn't dirty or in disarray. The best part was it was half-off. The absolute worst Panda Express we've ever eaten at!! Panda has been one of our favorite places for over 12 years or so and we were soooo excited to have one here in Cleveland and it was good when it first opened then it fell off the cliff bad!!! customer service is bad and the food we can't even eat it's that bad!! Must be very poor management because it's the same ingredients everywhere but the food here is horrible! We've tried 3-4 times or more since the bad experience and now it's a BIG NO!!! read more

Cleveland TN: Go to the place at 8:40 on a Saturday night! Says they close at 10:00. We walk in the restaurant and the lady at the buffet before even saying hello says "since we are about to close you can order inside but can't dine in" my response is we can't eat at all see ya!! My husband went to Panda Express today to get two bowls. We had a BOGO promotional coupon. The cashier saw the coupon and server checked to make sure it was for a bowl and not a plate. The cashier didn't ring up correctly and couldn't correct/void transaction. He got a manager and the manager said that he couldn't do anything about it since it was already rung up. He (manager) just said to use the coupon next time. That is ridiculous!! Both bowls were tasty so 5 stars for food. Would rate 2 for customer service if I could rate separately. read more

When Panda Express first opened the line was always wrapped around the building. One day there was no one waiting so I thought I'd try it. I was sorely disappointed. I ordered 2 orange chicken with broccoli. I don't know how you could make broccoli taste so bad. Neither of us could finish the meal. The chicken wasn't terribly bad but it wasn't that good either. So after 2 weeks of not being able to get in the drive-through because of overcrowding finally today I was able to try this place out. Well I wasn't impressed and the food tasted old. Now live a 10min drive away and you would thank the food would still be hot, nope quite the opposite. I ordered a plate that would be 2 meats and rice or noodles. So I got Orange chicken and teriyaki chicken and Fried rice. The Orange chicken tasted old like it was made the day before. Now the teriyaki chicken was good but cold. The rice was just dry and stale like it was also made the day before and left to set out. Before I had taken a bite I had to pop it in the microwave for a minute because of it being cold. Let's just say if I have to put in the microwave and being a short drive that means I won't be back there is better Chinese restaurants in Cleveland TN and I don't have to reheat stale dry food. read more

This place needs some management ! The food from the steam table was COLD ! The young man that took my order was rude ! The tables were not cleaned. The trash cans were full and running over. Liquid from trash cans was running onto the floor. Several workers just standing around talking and not even trying to clean or pay attention to customers. This place will not make it ! Being from California, I was SO EXCITED to FINALLY have a panda closer than the ooletwah location. I love the comfort of Panda Express. It is Chinese fast food. But I know what to expect. And I like it. We've had this location open for about a month. I've eaten from them three times and I've enjoyed the food every time. BUT. Delivery is not available. Which would be fine, if only pickup were an option. But it's not. Okay. So I've called 5 times hoping to get into some contact with an employee, each time no answer. This is so sad. I was delighted to learn that Panda Express was coming to Cleveland. Yesterday's experience quelled my joy. Started out in the long, slooooowwww line for car take-out. Having made little progress after what felt like a long wait, I decided to go in and order. There were 5 people ahead of me, and though the food was offered buffet style, the progress again was Very Slow. They were out or nearly out of many items, including the chicken dishes I wanted. I had to wait (yes, again) for one of them to be replenished. Ironically, it was the chicken with green beans--- my traditional fav going back many years. It was awful, with the green beans terribly undercooked and not even warmed through. The steamed brown rice (another traditional fav) was hard and "old" --- like they were using older rice and simply pouring hot water in to loosen and soften it a bit. The other chicken entree was fine, and also the only reason I didn't repackage everything and go and brave the long line again for a return. Clearly there are staffing issues, but it is the customers who are suffering. read more
