The lady that was serving me my food didn't even give me a full serving. I asked for double orange chicken and she gave me 1 scoop of orange chicken overall. When I opened it up, there was still enough space to add up to 3 more. I am very disappointed and I will be sure not to come back unless they add larger portions. This place closes at 10pm and we came at 9:25pm. They had limited food out but the gal said that we could order whatever we wanted that it would just take a few minutes. No problem, we will wait. The cooks in the back, all men, all had such attitude cause we ordered noodles and orange chicken, they're most famous item on the menu. If they didn't want to make it, they should've said we can't make anymore food. It would've been fine. But don't offer then have an attitude cause we said yes to your offer. The gals in the front serving the food were nice. But the two cooks in the back really need an attitude change. Customers are what make your business successful. I normally love Panda Express. I go to the one near Universal almost once a week. However, we went to this one and it was a big mistake. I ordered a bowl with kung pao chicken. I tried to eat it but it was much too spicy, my gf didn't taste it, but said she would take it to go and eat it for lunch the next day, she likes spicy food. I went back and ordered orange chicken. I took a bite and it was worse! Very sour tasting. My gf took a bite and she agreed, it was horrible she couldn't believe how bad it was, I told her to try the kung pao chicken but she refused. I tossed both bowls into the trash and we went to Marie Callender's in Northridge and had a fine meal. Never again! read more

This is one of the worst-run restaurants in the country. More often than not, they are out of something and you have to wait. Tonight, at 7:30 PM they rang up my order and I paid for it at that time. Three other customers were also waiting for a food item. After 11 minutes, I asked the female cashier when she was going to complete the order. Turns out it had been completed and was sitting on a shelf behind her (I thought it was next to her w/ stack of other orders). It was frustrating watching her handle 7-8 other customers in the cafeteria line. She offered to redo my order but I was steamed enough to keep it hot on the way home. Why the front end employees do such a poor job of telling the cooks what is needed is beyond me. I really do not like giving 1-star reviews whenever possible but this particular place almost made me very sick. It is close to my office and I was in the mood for some quick Chinese so I thought I would give it a shot. Although the service was acceptably quick for the lunch rush. They served me ROTTEN shrimp. I took my order to go and went back to my office and the first taste was a bit off but I had never tried the steak and shrimp dish before so I thought it might just be an unfamiliar taste and continued. With the first bite of the shrimp, the overwhelming taste of mold was so intense that I almost vomited and had to spit it out. I cannot express enough here that this was not a personal dislike in the taste of the dish, it was absolutely rotten. Had I continued eating the meal I am 100% positive I would have ended up with severe food poisoning. I am not writing this because I expect management to engage me in any way. My concern here is honestly one of public health concerns. I have eaten bad shrimp in the past 1 other time and the results were nothing short absolute physical devastation. I'm torn between the good quality fast food they have vs. the not so great service we received yesterday. The food is always good at panda no matter which location I visit. This place was out of both fried rice and chow mein. The cook was making the chow mein while I was ordering. They only had one young girl taking the order, filling it up and taking the payment. She had black hair and had glasses, around 1:50 pm. Finally another girl came to help her out taking orders. She seemed a little frazzled and got a lot of eat in vs. take out orders wrong... Most people inside were eating out of styrofoam boxes instead of plates. She seemed a little abrupt when asking for payment and calling out your name. That was another strange thing... Usually they take your order and fill it and then pay. If something is being cooked, you just wait by the register area. She took names for almost everyone and it took quite a long time to get your order. But like I said ... The food is good so I have them three stars. read more

Worst customer service I have ever seen in a restaurant. Not only that I had to wait for them to fill up backorders on food. And was told they didn't have what I wanted and they will not make more. It was 7:20pm. Then when I asked for my side they didn't have that either. I waited 30 mins for them to fill backorder and none of the backorders got what I wanted. I had been waiting for them to fill backorder boxes and they had called out for chicken when I first walked in. Go there if you like feeling as though you have swallowed a cup of oil. Orange chicken is coated with some strange tasteless substance on the outside, and rice is extremely greasy. The food tastes pretty gross when you are eating it, and you feel even worse after you have finished it. Stomach pain will commence soon after this dining experience. In my opinion, this is a pretty good Panda Express. I come here very often and there are little to no problems with anything. The food is pretty good and their service is very quick. There are some items that they don't have like potstickers which I add on sometimes at other Panda Express locations. I have had some great waitresses and waiters do my order and almost every time it's perfect done other than this one time where this waitress decided to give me way less of every entree and side dish because I asked for a sample of the shrimp and steak. My only major complaint is the eating area. It's really messy sometimes when people just leave their garbage on the tables. It takes a panda employee at least 15 minutes before they clean up the mess. I've seen food sitting there for even longer periods of time as well. Other than that this place is a good place for convenient Chinese fast food. read more

Well my experience was very different than the other reviews here. To start, they didn't weigh the food I guess they stopped that some time ago. The Kung Po Chicken was very good and not to spicy. The place is nice and decent but WATCH when they serve your food. These people really try to give you the low end of the stick. They serve you with as little as they can. For what!?!? They make the food in bulk and will continue to make food. They gave my mom 10 pieces of broccoli and 3 pieces of meat. They drenched my serving with all nasty sprouts and lettuce and barely any noodles in my chow mien and gave my girlfriend a small bit of the chicken. I had to stop the lady and ask her to add a little bit more. Of course she gave me a dirty look but for $18 for a meal I'm not going to watch you closely and see you try to get away with putting a tiny bit. This has happened more than one occasion. Last time I was there I go the 2 sides with rice. The amount of orange chicken the lady gave me was 2 pieces because I wasn't looking. I came home upset because I spent more than 10 dollars for mostly junk. Watch out from this place. Because you need to watch them serve you very closely. Money is very hard to come by these days and people want to feel like they are getting everything out of every penny. I was very disappointed with the customer service here by one of the employees. The two younger people handling the food and register were very courteous but the one older lady working what appears to be the kitchen area was very rude. Unfortunately I didn't catch her name. I placed an order online so that I can very quickly and conveniently pick up my food during my lunch time. I even paid online to make it quicker. When I arrived I informed the cashier that I was there to pick up my online order. She then turns to the older lady to check on that order and she simply said "I didn't get it" then just turns around and continues doing what she was doing instead of asking how she can help me. The cashier had to take care of someone else and they both left me standing there looking like an idiot. So I asked "so you didn't get my order? Because I paid and I need my food" at which point I held up my phone to show her my order. She didn't care, didn't even look at my phone. At this point I'm very upset but a young man came up to me, from the other side mind you, and proceeded to very kindly help me. It's not my first time here but it is the first time I was treated this way. So disappointed. Won't be visiting this Panda again. read more

Worst panda experience I have ever had. To start, my boyfriend was given a sample piece of the honey shrimp that was dry as a rock. Following this I ordered friend rice , beef and broccoli, and Beijing beef. All aspects of this order were terrible. There were about two pieces of beef and a mountain of broccoli which by the way did not taste anywhere near how it should. Completely tasteless. Their Beijing beef crumbled like a chip every time I put my fork to it and was inedible and I felt as if I was eating day old rice that was warmed up from the day before. Every aspect of this meal was atrocious. When we finally talked to the manager, all we received was a half hearted apology and then he walked away and carried out taking orders not checking any of the foods we talked to him about. Awful food, awful customer service, and I will never be coming back again. If your thinking about going to this location you should reconsider and drive that extra mile. No one wants to pay $20 crap on a plate. read more

Ok, just rating this Panda Express compared to the one in Burbank. Typically, I go to the one in Burbank because I work out there and the food is always fresh and delicious. Decided to take my kids here one night after baseball practice because they like the chow mein at our favorite Chinese restaurant (Golden Hunan on Reseda and Devonshire. Yum!) and I thought they might like Panda's. Boy, was I wrong. Everything was gross! The beef with broccoli was wilted and gray, the orange chicken was greasy and slimy, the teriyaki chicken was extremely fatty and inedible, and the honey walnut shrimp was doughy and blah. Chow mein sucked, too. Everything tasted like it had been sitting out all day long, which I don't think was the case because there were actually a lot of customers in there. Don't know if I just got them on a bad day, but I'm too disgusted by this experience to give this Panda another try. I'll stick to the one in Burbank. read more

Typical Panda Express until they get busy. Then -- yikes, watch out -- prepare to be frustrated. Unlike other Pandas I've been to, some of which are well-oiled machines, this one has just one person filling orders (and he's clearly not a multi-tasker), plus one girl standing at the register. At least that is the set-up on Sat or Sun when I've been in the afternoon. Witness if you will the infuriating tableau of a kid slowly filling a box with broccoli sprigs one at a time, while a line of 6 people stare at him, as the girl at the register tries to figure out which stacked box is for which customer waiting in front of her, all having already paid, waiting for fried rice or egg rolls or something, even though the two guys at the woks are constantly cooking, as a half gallon container of milk gets warm in your car in the 95 degree heat. Oh wait, I forgot to mention the other girl working there, who sits at a customer banquette watching all this happen, then gets up to go behind the counter and clear some empty containers from the hot table, marveling at the growing line of unattended customers she apparently is not qualified to help, then comes back out to sit down again to watch. SWEET JESUS, will someone come scoop some of this crap in to a styrofoam box so I can get outta here?? read more
