I visited the Panda Express, located at 423 Fulton Street in Brooklyn, NY to sample their Grilled Teriyaki Chicken. The grilled chicken entree was moist and delicious, I added in the Chili Sauce and Teriyaki Sauce. I enjoyed adding a few slices of tomatoes and cucumber at home to complete my high-protein dinner. This is a nice Panda Express location I went to and it's close by shops in downtown Brooklyn. I love how they were nice enough to give me a new plate with 2 sides after I found a piece of hair in my plate of food. I had to wait around 5 minutes or so but they were courteous and nice about it. I got my new plate of 2 sides in no time and enjoyed the meal a lot. I got fried rice, string bean chicken breast, and mushroom chicken and they were very tasty. This actually was my first Panda Express location. I was in this particular area and met my husband for lunch and he took me here. He said they make really good food here and I need to try the Orange Chicken. It was really good and I became intrigued with wanting to try other items. They actually gave samples for you to try. All the other locations after won't allow it, they say due to Co-vid. Anyway this location was how all the other locations need to take heed. I did notice this particular location also had a diverse staff working but there were Asians doing the cooking, don't know if that had anything to do with why this location was the best one I've been to, and I don't care who does the cooking at the other locations but something needs to be done about how the food is prepared and more training given to staff. Look, I'm not PROUD that I've been eating Panda Express lately, but I'm a victim of: 1. Good marketing. They put BOGO coupons in our mailbox. 2. My own nature. I love Mall Chinese Food, and this is basically that. 3. My keen olfactory sense. You can smell the orange chicken all the way down the Fulton Mall. Is it good for you? Does it make you feel good afterward? Is it authentically Chinese in any way? Those are all hard NOs. But it hits that very specific spot when you want it, and they are offering "bowls" in addition to platters, which are smaller (read: healthier) portion sizes, and you can get it with greens and broccoli instead of lo mein or fried rice, which mitigates a lot of the post-facestuffing self-hatred. Never had an issue with the service, they're always moving the line along and remain incredibly polite regardless of people cutting in line, lunch rushes, etc. HOWEVER, their door, I mean the main entry/exit, is a massive pain to use. I believe it's either the hinges or some strange wind tunnel effect, but I'll often have to do a double take when pulling on the door because it just doesn't budge. Upon seeing people in the restaurant I give it 1-2 more yanks and pry the sarcophagus that is this door open. The food is consistently good, but their door, I mean it's really the only reason I'm coming here to review. FIX THE DOOR. I was hungry so I may be wrong but this (I call it) American-Chinese food was the bomb! (Ques the FBI because I mentioned that word). I was in Fulton (Mall) approaching a BK branch for a combo when I looked up and saw Panda Express with a big old "A" posted on their window. Why not, I shrugged. I didn't have any idea how it worked but joined a queue like an old pro. Apparently there was a lunch special but no one told me about it until I placed my order of fried rice and Shanghai Angus Steak (310 calories). The server then informed me that would be $1.25 extra. Huh, extra for what? What's going on? I didn't even get an initial price but I'm getting an extra one? What's happening here? Allyuh mad or wha? I told him it was alright. I mean, food was already in a box, I was hungry and what not. (Edit: I checked online and understood better. See pic). The food is cooked in front of you but you select from their display/warmers. Staff was quick as we moved along. After paying I found a seat in the tiny dining area and dug into the most satisfying meal. The steak was soft with enough chew, the sauce just right and my rice could have been had on its own. This is the first time I actually finished a large meal (portion) all at once. The toilet too was clean and the grey color complimented the black motif of the restaurant. I think I just found my new lunch spot whenever I'm on Fulton. Panda Express has been a fav since I was a kid, and I don't allow myself to visit the location around the corner from my apartment tooooo too often. Luckily, this location is open during the Coronavirus social distancing. Typically, there's a huge line of hungry customers waiting, but the last couple weeks have been empty. The orange chicken is the protein to get, and don't let anyone convince you otherwise. The chow mein is great, along with the fried rice. They actually let you sample some of the proteins before you have to decide. Anyone who has never had PE should definitely give it a shot. They're open!! read more

Decided to see what the hype was about. Came here beginning of October, I ordered a small brown rice with beef & broccoli and a bottle of water. The staff was respectful and warming, the beef and broccoli tasted good just needs a little bit more seasoning or the brown sauce itself needs a little bit more seasoning. The brown rice has no flavor. I had more broccoli than beef which was disappointing. For everything I ordered which wasn't much was a bit pricey especially since my food could use a bit more seasoning. But besides that it was good was expecting a bit more. I also got a free fortune cookie which tasted amazing. However Panda Express in general is not a place I'll be coming for food continuously but it was worth a try. However, it was good and definitely satisfied a craving for Chinese food that I was having. My only complaints would be that they were light handed with the shrimp in the honey walnut shrimp bowl, and the bowls in general are missing something. The seats and tables are clean, there's no flies hovering around the soda fountain, and the lighting is warm and pleasant. It's fast and convenient tasty Chinese food. I ordered 2 big plates so I can try everything (almost) that they currently have on the menu.
