The low top that was not blocked off had employee food and personal items across it. One employee had left their nasty work shoes at the end of the seating area. I ordered the veg out omelette without cheese and blueberry pancakes with bananas and strawberries added. The omelette had cheese after I specifically said no cheese. The blueberry pancakes were okay. But the strawberries was actually a strawberry compote, not actual strawberries. So now I have strawberry compote and blueberry compote (which came with blueberry pancakes) and no strawberries! The people who came in behind us made a point of telling the wait staff that we were ahead of them to get seated. Went here for a simple breakfast of eggs, bacon, toast and waffle. The server was very pleasant but for some reason looked a bit frantic considering it was a small joint and maybe just 3 other customers inside. There were just 2 servers all total. My food took forever to come out and when it finally did the bacon was cold and not crispy and the toast is MIA. The waffle was very toasty and not fluffy like I expected. Maybe she thought I said toast the waffle? Anyway the toast finally came out when I was 3/4 of the way done with my meal. This place may be staying afloat mainly due to loyal regulars with their 83 rating in health inspection. If you want to take a risk of eating the hydrogenated spread instead of real butter you are better off going to Waffle House. This was my first time ordering from pancake house. I decided to do a curbside order. I called ahead and ordered the strawberry banana crepes. I was told it would be ready in about 15 minutes. I didn't show up until about 25 minutes later and was surprised when my order was still not ready. I waited in the car for about another 5 minutes and the they brought out my food. Once I got home and opened the box I was very disappointed. They only give 2 crepes and the presentation was terrible. There were no strawberries just some type of jam and a few bananas. I love the food here. It is good and cheap. I started going here pre-COVID and I can say they have kept the quality of their food the same. After 10 minutes an adult who I assume is the manager comes from the register with the phone distracted child and asks if anyone has acknowledged our table and proceeds to get coffee. Following her a rude server who does not bother to greet us or introduce herself asks, "Y'all know what you want??" I mirror without acknowledging her and give my order. Easter breakfast at a pancake house is a family tradition. Luckily we didn't have to rely on IHOP as the only choice this year. This little restaurant located in a strip mall was both clean and the service was great. I had never heard of Pancake House before. I ordered scrambled eggs, bacon, and pancakes. Very excellently done and food noticeably fresh. Portion sizes just right. All the staff members were friendly and responsive to our needs. All three of us were happy with our lunches, and I have to admit, it was fun to watch daughter's boyfriend eat his pancake systematically as he cut into it clockwise in perfect pie piece sections. "Fascinating..." as Spock would say. I see a lot of people have commented about not liking the coffee. I don't like coffee at all, so I don't know how you know if it's "good" or not...lol. Just had lunch at eh Pancake House in Grayson. So-So. My soup was just warm. There was no dressing on the Cobb salad. My wife had the open face turkey sandwich. If you're interested in trying a hole-in-the-wall place or are just passing through, this is a good place to try, but it's not much different than IHOP and similar restaurants. The menu is actually a little smaller than IHOP but it does have plenty of healthy choices, if you're into watching your weight or eating healthy. It's very clean and the waitstaff is friendly, but they seemed to get confused about assigned tables, so some of the orders were missing items or had things that weren't requested. Despite being crowded, it wasn't too loud and the wait time for orders was reasonable. I ordered the Grayson Slam but substituted the pancakes for whole wheat toast and had a few cups of decaf coffee. The food is pretty good and was definitely enough to feel stuffed, but I didn't think it was anything special and wouldn't be missing out if I never went back. Breakfast today was very good. The low carb platter was very good, said my granddaughter. My pancakes were perfect and the bacon was cooked exactly how I like it. Our waitress is always very nice and efficient. As we prepared to leave a gentleman who was waiting for a to go order talked to both of us, sharing a wonderful story of Faith that lifted our spirits for the rest of the day. Pancake house I went here one morning because I wanted to try something other than IHOP or Dennys. This spot is rather small and located in a busy shopping center. The staff was friendly but to me the prices were kind of high for some pancakes and other items on the menu. I feel a good breakfast should be cheaper than lunch or dinner , I'm late writing this review so maybe the prices have changed. The food was tasty but no frills nothing real special about it. I am a local resident of Grayson, and I have been a rather frequent patron of the Pancake House. The breakfast options (and they do have fare beyond breakfast) are what one should expect: the usual combinations of eggs, meats, etc. The food is consistent each visit--hot, well-prepared, and acceptably presented. What has stood out during each visit is the service. I have used my dining as an opportunity to escape and get some school work finished, sometimes for up to 2.5 hours at a time. On each occasion, Rosa and Beth have made it clear that they don't mind my staying, and even over the long duration, they have consistently checked in on me as a valued guest. I know that "camping out" is not really viewed well, and I acknowledged this, but still I receive excellent service with a smile. Good coffee (carafe on table!), pleasant wait staff, local folks. I wavered momentarily between four and five stars, but guests coming to a pancake house should not be expecting mimosas, perfectly balanced hollandaise, and white cloth napkins. For what this place claims to do, it does excellently. Hence, five stars. read more

I'd gone with my mother and brother with a coupon deal one of my cousins had gotten for the family. We'd gotten in and the place was pretty busy - not surprising for a Saturday mid-morning - but we'd gotten seats promptly, and within 5 minutes our server zipped over and took our drink order. She was mildly abrupt, but I think this was more in the sale of being able to serve as many tables she had as possible. The coffee orders came back within 2 minutes, and while the coffee wasn't exactly piping hot, it was okay. We did have to get half-and-half cups from the next table over since the server had zipped away again before we'd been able to make out there weren't any at our table. There was enough sugar, though, for which I was thankful since I never seem to have enough sugar at tables I sit at most times when I go to breakfast places. The menu is very varied and really wowed my brother especially, since it had a number of alternatives to beef and pork, and I'd liked they had enough vegetarian options. The orders came to our table within 10 minutes, which isn't shocking for breakfast orders, but three breakfasts which involved two sizable omelette orders raises the bar quite a bit. They were filling and tasted pretty good, and at roughly $10 per person, it's a great deal. A great local find for anyone, whether a family of adults or a group with small children. read more
