I love mexican food and I love asian food. When I found Panazia near our hotel, I was excited, but also did not know what to expect. This off the beaten path place blew my mind. Aburi Sirloin was top notch, the wasabi avocado sauce was fantastic and more places should have it. Foie Gras Nigiri was also great, it feels like with every bite you get a different flavor. Birria dumplings, which are more like wontons are also fricking fantastic! Sooooooo delicious. Pastor dumplings were my favorite! We simply had to order another one. For my sweet took we have a slice of the house-made chocolate cake which strangely reminded me of an ice cream cake. It was the lightest chocolate cake I've ever had. Margaritas (especially the hibiscus one) was yummy. Honestly I think I used the word delicious a million times but this place was FANTASTIC. The staff was also super friendly and attentive. As a bay area, resident, I consider myself someone who taste a variety of foods from different cultures. If those don't happen to be mixed together however, this place does an incredible job at blending Mexican flavors into Asian foods. I fell in love with the birria dumplings and the Al Pastor dumplings. Beautiful building and seating area just off the main square by Mision San Jose del Cabo. The appetizers - coconut milk Ceviche and Tacos de Pescado were excellent, main course braised short rib was not very exciting, the mole Asiaatico was fun but the fish was completely lost among the other much stronger flavors and textures. Visiting Cabo from the San Francisco Bay Area, CA. Was craving Chinese food and found this boutique restaurant nearby. My wife and I went out for a date night and throughly enjoyed it. The menu is comprehensively Asia: influenced by China, India, Thailand with a Mexican influence. We had well-seasoned and cooked dumplings as starters with a seafood curry and chicken chow mein (my crave) as entrees. And a rich slice of Mexican chocolate cake for dessert. Ambiance is well suited for date nights and a well-appointed outdoor bar for after dinner drinks as desired. We arrived around 6:30 and the place was quiet, but likely a cultural difference as it had zero impact on our amazingly tasty dinner and attentive service. Tonight we dined at Panazia. We were torn between Manta and Panazia for an Asian Fusion fix. We picked them last minute because it looks more casual. It's located on the side of town towards the Corridor. It's tucked away with a modest front. Parking is available across the street. As with every place we've been, feet cleaned, hands cleaned, and temperature checked upon entry. We you walk through door you're greeted by smart and hip ambiance. There's a few tables inside and a fabulous courtyard with square tables surrounding a tree. Huge painting that represents their proteins of fish, pork, and beef. We were the only ones there, because we like to eat earlier than most people. The wait staff is attentive but our experience is that we had to call them over when we wanted something. A raise of the hand and they came promptly. Food: we started with these steamed wontons that might be the best things I've eaten here. Soft pillows of pasta with a cream cheese filling served with a glossy yellow curry, mushroom, and bamboo shoots. It's perfect. It has a spicy kick that is dead perfect. Four to an order. For our main course I had the Mongolian Beef served with white rice. The beef was cooked well in small pieces with peppers, onion, green onions mixed in a spicy sauce. My wife went with Shrimp Pad Thai. It was on the sweet side but was well made. We drank Mojotos that were average. Nothing like the ones served over at the Havana House Cigar and Mojito spot in town. Panazia serves sushi, rice and noodle dishes, and many other Pan Asian Fusion dishes. Great find in Cabo. read more

As a self-identified bay area food snob, I was very pleasantly surprised by the inventiveness and attention to detail of this restaurant. I would recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for something different but still delicious. If you're American (or white/English speaking) - AVOID. they charged me and my friend $15/each for a margarita. These were nothing special. We were shocked that we got charged a price per drink that was on par with NYC or Miami, in a pandemic in MEXICO. We were the ONLY customers there. First, you have to look for this place - it is off the main highway into the marina/downtown area. If you are heading into town, it's a side street on the left about three blocks before the MacDonalds. We got lucky - we were going to dine at one of the more famous local foodie places and then we were told to try out Panazia. So very glad we did. It's a Mexican-Asian fusion restaurant. That's a new one , but it really works. One of the two best dishes we had was the Aburi Sirloin. It's a small extremely pretty and tasty dish. Marinated thin slices of beef. Delectable. The other best dish of the night was the potstickers. They were delicious. We also had Pastor Dumplings. They were good, very filling. We had about five dishes, most were small plates. They have a full bar and they tried so hard to make our evening special. They succeeded! They had a number of tasty different types of margaritas, we had two different kinds and both were delicious. The truly amazing thing is that the place was not mobbed with customers. Please support creative cuisine like this. I think the Chef's name was Josue. really nice people, creative and delicious food. When we go back to Cabo, we'll book a table there first... and try several other dishes. read more

Stumbled upon this unique restaurant. We sat in the patio under a tree. I had tomal and it was Soooo good. Wife had a fresh fish salad which she loved. Suberb wait staff. Everything coming out of the kitchen looked fabulous. Only issue was the uncomfortable metal chairs, but most people wouldn't even notice. read more

A perfect meal! We stumbled upon this restaurant, which is less than a block away from the Fairfield Marriott. We were delighted with everything we got - coconut milk ceviche, soft shell crab, masa and shiitake dumplings, and the special of the day, mussels with coconut milk, ginger and sake. Our waiter was lovely, and spoke English well. The space is beautiful - full of tropical plants, beautiful tile work, modern furniture, and mood lighting. One of the best places in downtown Cabo San Lucas, I try to eat there two or three times a week. The food is fresh and tasty. I will stop on my way home to pick up take out because it's even better the next day. If you haven't eaten at Panazia your missing out. Definitely 5 stars, with a great location. Plenty of free parking and the staff will always greet you with a smile at the door. The owner is warm and will suggest a wonderful dish if your curious about something new. Take my word for it you won't be sorry. The prices are right on, I'm looking forward to going tonight for another incredible culinary experience. If you like to wash down your great food with a cocktail or and excellent glass of wine they have a beautiful indoor patio area with a fully stocked bar and I usually enjoy a fresh glass of libations with my meal. I have eaten such good food around Cabo and the last night we chose to eat at this restaurant. We hoped to spice things up with Asian fusion since we've been having Italian, Mexican, all different types of food all week. I have never written a yelp review in my life but figured that I had to write one to save people from experiencing this restaurant. I can surely say there was not one dish that I ordered that tasted halfway decent. I am half Asian and eat Asian food all my life but I've never tasted anything that has been that bad in my life. I should've known that this restaurant was gonna be terrible restaurants in my life after the bar grass was peeling off and the decorum around the restaurant was falling apart. Don't trust reviews in Mexico because they often mislead you and this restaurant is easily one of the worst restaurants I've been to so please do not come here. This was the most interesting and sophisticated restaurant we've visited in Cabo. It's Chinese Mexican fusion, with an emphasis on interesting seafood. Our group sort of created our own seven-course tasting menu by ordering multiple times, starting with fish dishes, then meat and so forth. We ended up ordering most (or all) of the appetizers and a few entrees. We shared everything so we were able to taste wide range of dishes. The waiter was great with pacing the dinner and suggesting accompanying wines. (On a prior visit we had a typical appetizer and entree situation and that perfectly good too, but not as much fun or as interesting as creating your own tasting menu.) The decor is beautiful and the place has a laid-back lounge-y vibe and soundtrack. It was quiet early in the evening and got buzzing later. read more
