When I was in Cabo, I needed a break from eating Mexican food. After all Cabo is turning into a top foodie destination spot. I was so happy we dined at Chubby Noodle. The food, service and atmosphere were equally amazing. We started off with the chubby potstickers then had the garlic noodles, crispy glazed ribs and BBQ porkfried rice. The owners also has Mother Flower (Mexican food) and Pete's Fish House, both delicious and I highly recommend dining at all 3! read more

We were told by a local that this was a place we had to go visit. Turned out to be an excellent place with an uplifting atmosphere. I guess this is kind of a place where it depends on where you're seating because it can be very loud where you can't really hear each other or if you're sitting in the right place, it could be quieter and more tolerable, which is what we preferred. Definitely get the bottled water here. With the help of our waiter - maybe Raul? - we got the salt and pepper, shrimp, fried rice, the beef which was filet mignon stirfry, the firecracker chicken, which is deep-fried and a sweet sauce, and the papaya salad. That papaya or mango salad was the highlight dish of the night. It was very refreshing and dressing was perfect not too sweet or salty. I could eat this every day. The next best was that beef dish, which is pieces of filet mignon. It was tender and flavorful, and definitely a must get. I saw the picture but thank goodness he recommended it as a top dish. I really liked their fried rice here and I would've ordered more but we were carbing it down. But I think that's a must dry dish if you like fried rice. She liked that firecracker chicken, which is a light sweet sauce and I thought it was good. The salt and pepper shrimp is different here than what I'm used to, but I like the fried jalapeños and basil they had in it. It wasn't the best salt and pepper shrimp I've ever had, but it was still very respectable. Service here was pretty attentive and I thought the prices were reasonable. I would definitely come back here for that papaya, mango salad and fried rice and beef dish. I must say after we left and started to walk the pier we got a little sleepy and slightly sluggish. We did eat a little more than usual this night but when I usually feel this way, it's a sign of MSG seasoning. I am not sure they use MSG as I never asked, but just an FYI, if you're sensitive that maybe you should ask to be sure and please let us know. Been here many times - but it was not a great experience on Monday night. The chicken in the chicken fried rice tasted old. To make matters worse, the MOD told me after taking it back to the kitchen that he tasted it and assured me that it was fine. I don't need staff argueing about whether or not something tastes wrong to them. We had other chicken dishes that were fine. Also the portion size was inconsisten. We ordered two mongolian beefs but the second dish they brought had about 50% less of a portion size. last but not least - their prices have gone up. OMG we are still talking about this meal and we came home from vacation. In the 20+ years I've been coming to Cabo. I've never once thought of getting Chinese food. Yes I've had sushi at Nick-San etc but never Chinese food. The influx of fantastic restaurants in the city and San Jose Del Cabo is just incredible. This is probably our favorite meal and I wish we would've gone more than once. We walked in without a reservation. They were able to take us and the server was super friendly and nice and made some recommendations and recommended some of the signature dishes that they had. We opted for the Mongolian beef, ribs, and the chicken chow mein. I'm not kidding when I say that the meal was flawless. The Mongolian beef had such incredible flavor. I wanted more. The ribs were caramelized juicy yet crisp on the edges and they were eight of them. The chow mein was also outstanding. They used Ramen noodles instead of the traditional chow mein or lo mein noodles, which I actually prefer. Again, the flavor profile was incredible. The portions were very good and we actually took some of it back to our hotel. Now I'm not sure about Parking and this always confuses me but we were able to find street parking. There is a lot towards the marina that you could park in as well. Otherwise, I would suggest walking over or taking a cab from whatever area of town you are in. Again I highly recommend coming here, especially if you want a change from having Mexican food every day. Inside is super cool. They've got some good hits playing. And air conditioning. One of the best dinners we had in Cabo! I wouldn't think I'd come to Mexico to get delicious Asian food as a priority, but the cuisine here was delicious and we had a great time. We were able to walk in early in the evening on a Saturday night, an waited about 10 minutes for a table. It's a smaller restaurant and I'm not sure that they take reservations, but I'd recommend making them if you can. We ordered a variety of items: - Spicy Garlic Noodles - So simple and classic and maybe one of the first dishes I learned to cook, but somehow they make them SO GOOD here! The flavor really pops. A must-order. - Glass Noodles with Beef - Another standout. Great texture and so much flavor. - Salt and Pepper Shimp - This was served to us as an appetizer and I was also impressed by the crunch and flavor. Another fave. - Shrimp Dumplings - I liked the noodles better, but these were really tasty. One of my friends ordered the ramen and I didn't try (soup is kinda hard to share!) but he really liked it. Service was great and so were the drinks we ordered. They have toys/games for little kids too, and it's a chill, relaxed atmosphere. Lets be clear here - this is not Chinese food, it's Asian. Red Curry. A couple of Korean dishes, another common Thai dish. Secondly, if you go here be aware that the majority of the main menu, not appetizers, are spicy to quite spicy. The Chicken Chow main isn't nor the ribs, or Mongolian beef. They are very flexible in terms of you would like x protein even though the dish has either none or Y protein. That said, there is no dish on the menu that has Tofu in it. Five of us went. Me and the spouse live in Mexico year-round. So this perspective is from a local. The appetizers 1. The green bean dish is a winner. Nice type of sauce in it, and very flavorful. Highly recommend. Mains 1. One person went with the ribs. He really liked it. My spouse tried it and liked it a lot. Again in a dark sauce, not spicy. The name is Crispy Glazed Ribs. 2. Another person selected Firecracker chicken. She noted that it was really spicy compared to their previous visits- which were five before. Thus as with many places such as Thai, Asian, and othe cusines where they are tossing in the spice, it can be good to brutal. She found it too spicy. 3. The spouse had Mongolian Beef and loved it. 4. The 4th person selected aomething. Honestly I wasnt paying attention. It did though come with four sauces and it must have been spicy because he used all the soy sauce. Also repeat customer. So the more spice than usual was in play. 5. Glorious me. I went with the Koren stir fry ramen. The noodles were vermicelli. I like spicy, but this was nearly unedible. I didnt see any mushrooms, but the carrott was shredded, and lots of chilie peppers, sliced. Korean chili is a spicy dish, for those curious. However I was looking around for soy sauce because someone went a bit too far on the heat index. I added shrimp to the dish. Its not mentioned on the menu as part of it, however I did see they offered shrimp fried rice, and thus shrimp was there. Couple of final notes 1. You will have leftovers. Lots sppears. 2. We got the crispy cauliflower as an appetizer, even though it appears in the mains. It was quite good, we took some home. 3. I noticed that the dishes with no change requests came out quicker than the dish #4 had which didn't have any changes to it, but did have noodles. Mine was the last one to come out. I the only difference between the dish itself and what zip ordered was camarones- ie shrimp. Parking is horrible in Cabo. I recommend parking across the street in the hotel parking lot. Safe and yeah you pay a fee. If you decide to do street parking, I would recommend going nor more than three streets to park. At night, ditto, but honestly just pay a fee at the parking lots. read more

So happy we googled this place to eat! The staff were all very friendly and welcoming. We were seated right away, and close an air conditioner. It was a super hot and muggy time of year when we visited. Our server was quick to get us drinks and take our food order. She helped us with her top recommendations. Don't let the name scare you away. This place was great! Everything was served family style and the portions were definitely big enough to share. We had multiple appetizers, fried rice, noodles and house specialities, but the stand out dish for me had to be the crispy glazed ribs. Flavorful and tender, falling right off the bone. The firecracker chicken was the tables favorite as well as the spicy garlic noodles. The ribs were also full of flavor and very tasty. Service was great and the lychee cocktail was like a lychee mojito and very good. This was the best restaurant my family visited while in Cabo. Even our taxi driver taking us here said he loved their food. One big plus is that the restaurant is indoors with a/c so you don't have to constantly swat flies away from your food. read more

This restaurant was definitely our favorite spot on our recent trip. You cannot leave Cabo without stopping in. We ate here for lunch one day, dinner another day during the week, and picked up an order of ribs to go to share with my family. The quality of food is spectacular. Everything was made to order and served hot. Every dish had a distinct flavor, but by far my favorite dishes were the ribs and sesame beef. The ribs were sticky and had an amazing glaze. The best I have ever tasted. My dad is hard to impress sometimes with food, and he said he loved them. GET. THE. RIBS. The restaurant itself is very clean and dimly lit. The men's bathroom was tidy and clean as well. It had two toilets and two urinals. There is a bar as well that you can sit at upon request. Our server, Luis, was very friendly and attentive. He was patient with me as I practiced my Spanish. If I go back to Cabo, I will be back. Thankfully there is a Chubby Noodle in San Fran as well. Great option for non-Mexican food in Cabo. Great food in a beautifully decorated place. Definitely recommend doing family style ordering here! We tried stopping by on a weeknight for dinner. Unfortunately it was a very long wait, so we made reservations for the following night with the hostess. You have to make reservations either in person or by calling them. Their online reservations goes to the SF location. Quick to order and food was brought out very quickly but it was difficult getting the servers attention for drinks and stuff afterwards. The food was overall delicious and steaming. Japchae was some of the best I've had and the firecracker chicken was so crispy yet saucy. I'd skip the garlic noodles next time. Here is a recap Costillas de puerco (ribs): 5 STARS delicious, tender and very well seasoned but not too heavy on the sauce. This plate is a must!! Fried Rice: 5 STARS favorite side! The rice was not too greasy like fried rice usually tends to be. The side looks small but it was more than enough for 2 people. Wontons de pollo: 4.5 STARS These were really good but I'm deducting half a star only because they were not spicy at all even though the menu said they were. Also the wonton to stuffing ratio was a bit off. Too much wonton. Ajo picante noodles (spicy garlic noodles): 3.5 STARS Least fave dish. It was good but it had more of an Italian taste. We added soy sauce and some of the hot sauces the restaurant had and that made it better Overall, we enjoyed having dinner here. From the states Been here before 3 other times So back in Cabo have to get chubby noodle right well my mistake this time ordered ribs Mongolian beef and potstickers very dry and soup. A couple comes in 15 min later and they ordered soup soo waited and waited still no soup then here comes soup nope they got soup but no soup for me so flagged down our waiter cause nobody checked on us the whole time we were eating I begged for some napkins he ok and he went around helped other people for about 10 mins and then he brings some napkins it's funny i ordered two orders of ribs and I have to beg for napkins and they olny give u chopsticks lol so we are all done with dinner I ask "i ordered soup" he say completely unapologetically your soup is coming. now mind you I've seen four other soups come out of this kitchen two orders the people came in after me. I am not a hard person to please and I realize people get busy, so I said politely no thank you for the soup. Just give me the check,my daughter ,which was her birthday and all she wanted was some soup but I guess we wernt good enough for service I relize u guys are a popular place and u don't need my biz but we will never come here again or refer people to ur establishment which we had done several times in the past ,well those days are over! ps 4 small dishes were 100 dollars and the place was so loud u had to yell to talk i felt like a episode of the old Steinfeld show no soup for u lol read more

I absolutely looooved it! We came in without reservations but they still seated us. I had checked online but didn't see any option to put in a reservation, so I'm guessing you had to call ahead. But anyways, the food was amazing. The noodles were thick and had that perfect chew, and were tossed in a salty and savory sauce with plenty of chicken and veggies. The chicken chow mein easily feeds 2-3 people. We also got the Mongolian beef. I personally loved it. If had the perfect balance of salty, sweet and savory. The meat was super tender. We also go the spicy chicken wontons. It had a very nice sesame oil flavor that I loved. It had a nice kick and wasn't too spicy. The food came out as it was ready, so we didn't get the food all at once. But coming out as it was ready, you are able to enjoy the food fresh and hot. The service wasn't the best nor was it the worst. It was okay and no issues at all... just a bit of a wait to order and pay.
