Bottled water is good here
Chris M.

We were told by a local that this was a place we had to go visit. Turned out to be an excellent place with an uplifting atmosphere. I guess this is kind of a place where it depends on where you're seating because it can be very loud where you can't really hear each other or if you're sitting in the right place, it could be quieter and more tolerable, which is what we preferred. Definitely get the bottled water here. With the help of our waiter - maybe Raul? - we got the salt and pepper, shrimp, fried rice, the beef which was filet mignon stirfry, the firecracker chicken, which is deep-fried and a sweet sauce, and the papaya salad. That papaya or mango salad was the highlight dish of the night. It was very refreshing and dressing was perfect not too sweet or salty. I could eat this every day. The next best was that beef dish, which is pieces of filet mignon. It was tender and flavorful, and definitely a must get. I saw the picture but thank goodness he recommended it as a top dish. I really liked their fried rice here and I would've ordered more but we were carbing it down. But I think that's a must dry dish if you like fried rice. She liked that firecracker chicken, which is a light sweet sauce and I thought it was good. The salt and pepper shrimp is different here than what I'm used to, but I like the fried jalapeños and basil they had in it. It wasn't the best salt and pepper shrimp I've ever had, but it was still very respectable. Service here was pretty attentive and I thought the prices were reasonable. I would definitely come back here for that papaya, mango salad and fried rice and beef dish. I must say after we left and started to walk the pier we got a little sleepy and slightly sluggish. We did eat a little more than usual this night but when I usually feel this way, it's a sign of MSG seasoning. I am not sure they use MSG as I never asked, but just an FYI, if you're sensitive that maybe you should ask to be sure and please let us know. But definitely a really nice experience here and I do recommend

I can't rave enough about this place. The two of us ate like kings for $55. Two drinks, shrimp potstickers, chicken chow mein and the best bbq pork fried rice I've ever put in my mouth.

Chubby Noodle for lunch this week. Shockingly good! Amazed to find good Asian food in Cabo, but this is the place. Close to the marina, easy walking distance. Way cool decor. We had drinks, Mongolian beef and crispy ribs. Service was good, fast, food out quickly. We'd definitely go back.

OMG we are still talking about this meal and we came home from vacation. In the 20+ years I've been coming to Cabo. I've never once thought of getting Chinese food. Yes I've had sushi at Nick-San etc but never Chinese food. The influx of fantastic restaurants in the city and San Jose Del Cabo is just incredible. This is probably our favorite meal and I wish we would've gone more than once. We walked in without a reservation. They were able to take us and the server was super friendly and nice and made some recommendations and recommended some of the signature dishes that they had. We opted for the Mongolian beef, ribs, and the chicken chow mein. I'm not kidding when I say that the meal was flawless. The Mongolian beef had such incredible flavor. I wanted more. The ribs were caramelized juicy yet crisp on the edges and they were eight of them. The chow mein was also outstanding. They used Ramen noodles instead of the traditional chow mein or lo mein noodles, which I actually prefer. Again, the flavor profile was incredible. The portions were very good and we actually took some of it back to our hotel. Now I'm not sure about Parking and this always confuses me but we were able to find street parking. There is a lot towards the marina that you could park in as well. Otherwise, I would suggest walking over or taking a cab from whatever area of town you are in. Again I highly recommend coming here, especially if you want a change from having Mexican food every day. Inside is super cool. They've got some good hits playing. And air conditioning. We can't wait to go back. We are literally joking about it right now.

Amazing meal and service ! The ribs, ramen and cocktails were 10/10 HIGHLY recommend eating here if you're in Cabo San Lucas.

My second time in within a week. Food: very good but smaller portions especially for the price Service: tonight was good first night was a poor Ambiance: it is so loud that you can't even think, the noise level and music is unbelievable (cannot have a conversation) Bathroom: poor, overflowing baskets, stuff on the floor and mess everywhere First impression: feels like being the "chosen one" as a prisoner you have to stay outside to have the hostess open the door to even speak with you , very silly Value/ mediocre- Mongolian beef is enough for one person - $25, martini around $13 and wine around $10 (again considering we are in Mexico not at Wynn LV) On average paid $55pp without a tip Overall if you don't feel like Mexican or Italian, this is a good option but be aware of what you are getting into. Quality of food is definitely good!

Absolutely phenomenal. When someone told me I should try Asian food while I was in Mexico I was hesitant but I'm glad I did. Rivals any Asian restaurant in California. 10/10 food. 10/10 service. 10/10 ambiance. Highly recommend to everyone.

So happy we googled this place to eat! The staff were all very friendly and welcoming. We were seated right away, and close an air conditioner. It was a super hot and muggy time of year when we visited. Our server was quick to get us drinks and take our food order. She helped us with her top recommendations. We ordered the very popular ribs, firecracker chicken and ramen noodles. Everything came out quickly, hot and with a nice presentation. The flavor was great. I loved the firecracker chicken the most. Great place, definitely on our list to return to.

Menu

I had the spicy wonton appetizer. Sauce had the correct tasted. Staffs were friendly and restaurant is clean.

Don't let the name scare you away. This place was great! Everything was served family style and the portions were definitely big enough to share. We had multiple appetizers, fried rice, noodles and house specialities, but the stand out dish for me had to be the crispy glazed ribs. Flavorful and tender, falling right off the bone. The cocktails were delicious and had beautiful presentation. I also really liked the vibe here. They were playing one of my favorite artists music all night! I would definitely come back.

Chinese in Cabo? Hell yeah.
Peter I.

Believe it or not, Chubby Noodle is the best Chinese food in Cabo.... no.....in San Diego!!! In Cabo you think tacos and enchiladas.... Well think again. We had the best service from Sarahi and started with amazing potstickers and wine! On to Mongolian beef and firecracker chicken w rice which both were fantastic! The whole experience and atmosphere is so anti Cabo but yet is new Cabo! Hip and cool. A must go when here! Love it!

I ordered a mojito! Soo great!! Minutes later our table was available. I ordered the CAESAR SALAD-With French lettuce, classic anchovy sauce and fine herbs croutons, the sauce made me have an out of boby experience, lol k! For my entree, I ordered the OAXACAN BLACK MOLE SHORT RIB- Slow-cooked beef short rib finished over wood fire for a smoky touch, accompanied by molotes filled with plantain and aged cheese WHOAAAAAAAAAA!! Our whole dinner took 3 hours from start to end. However, I will say, the view, amazing. The food, amazing. And the servers, amazingly nice! This was one of my favorite places to eat. There were so many good selections! Their complimentary bread was amazing too! The pork belly was good, the espresso martini, the ceviche, the lengua tacos, the octopus. Loved everything!

It was empty during peak dinner hours, which in hindsight should have been a telltale sign but, we didn't think anything of it as Asian food was hard to come by in that area. Our party of six decided to sit in the outdoor patio overlooking the Harbor. The menu, while limited looked promising. For starters we opted for the Gyozas and Chicken Satay. Both were decent but, nothing to write home about. Following our appz, we had their Malaya Coconut, Tuna Rolls, Caramelized Salmon, Caramelized Pork Ribs and Chicken Pad Thai. Each dish that came out was worse than the last. They lacked the proper Asian flavorings with some dishes being devoid of flavors altogether. For instance, the Chicken Pad Thai had an overwhelming flavor of ketchup while the Malaya Coconut was bland and watery and the Caramelized Ribs were tangy and one noted. This was the trend with all of the other entrees. Service was just about the only pleasant thing during our dining experience. Our server was very friendly and helpful. The price is moderate considering the location however, I feel that it's overpriced for mediocre food and I would not recommend this place.

For the entirety of our meal, we were the only diners in the restaurant. ORDERED: Tibet roll, oyster roll, salmon temaki, salmon sashimi, mixed sashimi, salmon salad, New York cheesecake, margaritas, coronas, and waters. PROS: Our server, Cristopher, was pretty good. He was attentive, made good suggestions, and checked in on us often. CONS: The food. The food was only meh. It tasted like something you buy from the supermarket in the refrigerated aisle, except this sushi was room temperature instead of being cold. The fish was mushy, soaked in the sauces, and not at all fresh. Also, the fish was room temperature/borderline warm. Bleh. Every roll had a Philadelphia roll base/filling and there was tons of cream cheese in them. The rice was also very mushy and overbearing. There was way more rice then there needed to be. We had the margaritas both on the rocks and blended. Each order of margarita was made completely different. In the blended order, the margarita was so salty. The salt wasn't because of the rim, the drink itself tasted like someone poured a handful of salt into it. For the second round of drinks, we ordered margaritas on the rocks. One of the cups was really sweet, and the other one tasted like there was only tequila in there (not necessarily complaining ). Ultimately, we ended up ordering coronas - because you can't screw that up... For dessert, we ordered tempura ice cream. Unfortunately, our server informed us that they had run out of this. So instead, we ordered a NY cheesecake. It was just okay. Nothing special or fancy. We were seated in the outdoor seating area. While we were eating, there were three recently flies who would not leave us alone! It was quite bothersome. Towards the end of the meal, there was a bee who joined in with the flies. This bee, though, was even more relentless than the flies and would not leave even after being swatted (making contact!) a few times. It flew on our cheesecake, into our margaritas, and everywhere in between. All while this was happening, our server and 5 other employees stood by idly watching us, talking about us, and laughing amongst one another! It was kind of annoying. Ultimately, we knew going into this place that this wasn't going to be the best sushi we've ever had or even anywhere near it. What we did hope for, though, was for the seafood to be much fresher and better prepared. BOTTOM LINE: Don't go. I would not recommend this place - not even if you are craving for Asian food.

Sunsets & Sushi Bar is one of those. Perched overlooking El Médano beach, with the iconic El Arco rock formation glowing like a middle finger to the Pacific horizon, it's the kind of place where the sky catches fire every evening and you feel like you've bought a ticket to paradise. The ambiance? Top-shelf. Breezy, open, live music drifting in, flat-screens flickering sports if you're into that it's got that effortless cool that makes you forget you're in a resort bubble. Service was sharp, attentive without the fake enthusiasm that makes you want to punch someone. They didn't hover, but they didn't let your glass go dry either. Solid. The food? Here's where it gets real. Presentation was gorgeous those rolls and plates arrived looking like they belonged in a glossy magazine spread. The edamame? Bomb. Straight-up addictive, salty, popping with that fresh snap that makes you forgive a multitude of sins. But the sushi itself? It's on the sus side. Not terrible, not dangerous, just... not transcendent. Fresh enough for the setting, creative rolls with local fish nods, but the quality felt a half-step behind what the view demands. You can taste the compromise. Portions lean small, too classic resort move. And the prices? They hit you like a rogue wave. This place gouges hard. You're paying premium for the panorama, not the precision of the knife work. It's Cabo tax, pure and simple: beautiful location equals beautiful markup. If you're expecting Tokyo-level sushi, you'll leave disappointed and lighter in the wallet. Would I go back? Yeah, once. For drinks at sunset, maybe a couple of those killer edamame bowls, and let the view do the heavy lifting. Don't load up on rolls unless you're feeling flush and forgiving. It's not the best sushi in Cabo hell, it's not even close to the hidden gems but damn if the setting doesn't make it worth the pilgrimage. Four stars. One knocked off for the wallet-rape and the food that looks better than it tastes. The other three? Earned by that view, that service, and the simple joy of watching the sun bleed into the sea with a cold drink in hand. Worth it? For the experience, sure. Just don't pretend it's about the food. It's about the escape. And in that, it delivers.
