We settled on some sourdough bread, croissants and homemade granola and I can honestly say all three items were among the best I've ever tasted. And being from the San Francisco Bay Area I know what good sourdough tastes like. The taste and texture were on point, perfect crust and chewy but soft interior. And I can't stop eating the (chocolate) granola, it's amazing!!

The produce department is usually well stocked, and the prices and selection quite good. They do support local and BC products. They have a large health and vitamin selection. As a frequent shopper I enjoy their loyalty program, every once in a while I get $20 off. They usually have good weekly sale items on a variety of everyday and specialty items. Helpful, attentive, knowledgeable staff. Convenient highway access with a medium sized, free parking lot. The thing that pushes them to 5 stars for me is their community support. Not only do they provide donations, etc. they have a room that they share with community charity groups free of charge - now that is easily worth a star.

Sorry for the long rant. On Thursday, March 29/24, I submitted an on-line shopping order as I have…read morebeen doing for approx 4 years. Drove to the store and picked up my groceries during the proper pick up time. When I got home and opened the back of my vehicle, I could tell right away that a lot of my groceries were missing from my order. Non of the missing items were indicated on the 3 pages of my order report. Once inside my home, I had to do an inventory or what I received and what was missing. Before I had finished, the phone rang and it was Save On saying they had my missing items and asking when I could come and pick them up. Seems like the missing items did not even warrant a "delivery". Turns out (over $400.00 shopping order) that 17 of the 52 items did not come home with me. To top that off.....not all of the items I was missing from my order were included in the missing items that Save On told me to come and get. Not only did I NOT get my items....some other order DID. The young lady that brought out the remainder of my items (after she had to complete my order before I came back to the store ) was polite and pleasant and told me she would speak to someone about the issues with my order. Well...today is Tuesday, and I have still not heard from anyone from Save On. Shame on Save On Foods for the poor on-line shopping service and the NON EXISTANT customer relations.

I'm generally a figure it out on my own type of customer and don't really care what employees are like as long as I don't have to interact with them too much. Despite two or three brusque to the point of rude interactions with employees here over the last three years, I was still perfectly happy with the place. Part of the reason I buy in bulk is to avoid extra packaging and bringing home endless plastic bags, so I have some rip-stop nylon reusable bags I use. the last time I was here, one of the employees stopped me to say I couldn't use the bags because then they'd be liable for anything that might happen to "the product" from being in those bags. She actually made me dump out my bags back into the bins (would they not then be liable for every purchase made from that bin afterwards?) and also told me, when asked, that I couldn't reuse their plastic bags. She couldn't give me any idea what it was I might hold them liable for. I had about $40 worth of nuts that I was going to buy in addition to the stuff I dumped back. I put it all back and won't be shopping there again. The fact that they're willing to turn away a regular customer over some unidentifiable problem that has never happened and likely never will is too ridiculous.

This place has all the good stuff to buy on the market, and of course the ready made goodness. I chose the lunch special again and it was even better than the last one I had. The service was awesome and fast. The price was good as it is not any more expansive than buying some fast food. This is definitely a place I will return to.

The dough is made fresh and is loaded up to the edge of the crust with cheese and toppings. The crust is crispy. We got "The Pep" (double layers of pepperoni and cheese" and the "Super Hawaiian" (ham, HUGE pieces of bacon, pineapple and green pepper) both were incredibly good.
