I really like the patio. Interesting menu. the food was slow to arrive but tasty. service was very friendly.

I went to Micki's Pub this evening for supper since it was within walking distance of my hotel. The layout of the pub is cool because there are smaller spaces on different levels. I felt like pub grub so ordered a pound of hot wings and and a side order of wings. The wings were small but there were a lot of them ... I'd rather have less of them and have them bigger since they tend to be juicier. There were a lot of carrots. Had I known the wing dish was so big, I wouldn't have ordered the fries (I left most of them). After I ate, I moved to another table that had a big armchair so I could read, sip my beer and be comfy cozy.

The salad and dessert were great, as was the service. A good place to catch up with a friend.

Great place to watch a game but the beer selection is limited while the food is rather bland.

Beer choices weren't great nor were the cocktails - all weird gen z fruity slushy junk. Service was not taht attentive. The real thing here is that if you have Canadian in your name you better make a damn good Caesar. They do have 5 variations but they should just try to make ONE decent one. I had the single most disgusting Caesar I have ever had in my life. The rimmer was vile, the drink nasty and tasted nothing like Clamato. The worst part was we were told they are out of house vodka due to the strike so we had to pay more for premium top shelf vodka. I was at bar last week with the same situation and they offer top shelf at no extra charge, That's how to run a business. The TVs were the ink6 good thing really.

To begin with, the bartender failed to warn us about the extra charges for the tastings. As a result, we ended up with a much higher bill than we anticipated, which left a bad taste in our mouths. While it was not explicitly stated as included or not, I feel like the server could have warned us that it would cost us more money. Onto the experience, normally the MSRP of the experience was $20 per person for 4 shots of liquor to try - which is an alright proposition on the surface. However, the liquor wasn't particularly top shelf, most of it was very generic - Titos, Belvedere, etc. Then, you are basically standing in an industrial cooler thats about 10 by 6 feet for 10-15 minutes pounding down shots with a giant fan whirring to keep everything cool. Not exactly the experience that would make it particularly enjoyable or relaxing unfortunately. Thankfully the experience was mostly complimentary, but I don't think I would have felt it was worth it had I had paid full price. It's a shame because I had to travel from the lower mainland for it and I was an anticipated event, which didn't pan out.

Came to eat here with my fiancé after playing a few machines in the casino and we were confused by the entrance. No hostess or signs saying to either seat yourself or wait to be seated so we stood confused and waited for almost 10 minutes - didn't want to seat ourselves and potentially mess up a servers station which is why we stood and waited for that long. Signs or something would be good for first time customers... Numerous waiters walked right by us and definitely seen us but did not greet us or let us know where we should sit, not even smile at us. It was not a busy night with a lot of patrons so it felt a bit ignorant to not even acknowledge our presence in the slightest. The bar is right next to the entrance and the bartender who was wiping glasses FACING US with only 1 man at the bar, didn't even try to help us or acknowledge us either. The man sitting at the bar told us to just walk in and get a table - so a CUSTOMER had to acknowledge us and let us know we could seat ourselves. Super cold and unwelcoming first impression, but we were hungry and interested in trying the food so we sat ourselves. We ordered a drink each to start from our waitress - a beer and cocktail. Our waitress, along with the other staff, was too busy gossiping all together in the corner to notice the bartender finished making our drinks so we seen our drinks just sitting on the bar counter for 10 minutes out in open accessible to anyone! Which is absolutely not okay, considering anybody could have walked by and spiked our drinks, especially if we weren't seated where we could see them. Just generally a dangerous practice as they were unattended, out in the open for anybody to do anything with. I ended up having to get up and grab our drinks and serve ourselves.... where's my tip lol? Our server was still too busy gossiping with her coworkers and never brought us any water, thankfully one waitress walked by our table and we had to wave to ask for some water. Generally one of the first things you are served at restaurants is water, regardless of if you are ordering any drinks besides water. Water was served lukewarm (and drinking lukewarm water is... just lukewarm itself) with 0 ice. Our waitress finally finishes her gossip sesh and takes our order after another 10 mins of waiting. We decide we don't even want to sit around in this place any longer because the service was below subpar, so we skip any main meals and order only appetizers. We ordered the Calamari and Wings. The wings were quite nice except our server did not bring any cutlery, napkins, or wet wipes to the table so after finishing, we had to go to the bathroom to wash our hands. Even fast food places will give you wet wipes, or at the very least, NAPKINS.... The calamari was absolutely gross. Teeny little pieces no bigger than a thumbnail put on the plate with a bigger serving of just the deep fried coating crumbs - FOR $17! It was not deep fried properly so they were just soggy little bits of squid we had to pinch with our fingers. Opa's serves a better calamari for $10, and compared to here, it seems gourmet. Our waitress was MIA and never even checked on us again for the entire duration of our meal. No water refills, offering another drink, or asking how everything is. When we did see her walking around, it seemed she was purposefully avoiding our table. Either that or maybe she really was that oblivious. We are in no means bad guests at any restaurant we go to, even when the service is terrible as we have an understanding of working in this industry so i'm not sure what that was about. Even though we were frustrated, we never displayed it in our tone of voice or body language towards her or the other waitress who served our waters. It was late so I understand if maybe she was tired or something, but it's just not okay to purposely ignore us - considering we were the only table she was serving. It felt cold. Flagged her down after 15 minutes of sitting there with dirty dishes on our table to ask for the check and left; dissatisfied and actually quite appalled at the experience. Easily the worst service we have ever had, we got better service from the bar in the casino area, which was super busy. Literally never coming back, it was actually quite shocking. To make guests feel so uninvited and ignored and have them SERVE THEMSELVES because the staff are like background NPC's is absolutely a joke. This place would be better off turning into a buffet, seeing as you have to serve yourself. At least that way, you could make sure to grab yourself some napkins and cutlery lol.

Last Sunday we held a benefit for our friend and co-worker Ryan Lomax, who was diagnosed with…read morecancer this past September. Ryan has been struggling with being off work and supporting his eight children along with himself. So we chose our Venue...Rusty's Sports Lounge...when we first approached them about having the benefit the Event Co-coordinator suggested that they had a deal that we could have a all you can eat burger buffet for 21.95 each which included the tax and gratuity and that we could add on a price for the benefit to raise money... so we went for it charging $30.00 a ticket, $21.95 for the food and $8.00 for Ryan. On the Thursday before the benefit, they called for a number for the amount of people who were coming. As we were not sure we said possibly 100 people, as people said they would be there and wanted to buy the ticket when they arrived...so when we got there on Sunday, I let them know that we had sold 47 tickets, and was informed that we had to pay for the other 53 plates. ...okay so people arrived between 4:00 and 5:00, since we now had to wait for the buffet, orders were made for appy's from the menu. The food was put out at 6:30 which was two large bowls of lettuce, one romaine and the other mixed...a bowl each of relish, mustard, onions and tomatoes. Two choices of salad dressing, fries and gravy. The burgers were given out like we were in a soup line by the server. Only one burger each even though we were about to pay for the other 53. A few of the guests who went for the second burger were turned away and told only one per guest. so....the food is out for an hour, taken back to the kitchen and thrown out. The food could have been packaged up and Ryan could have used it for his kids...We continued with our evening raising money from the Silent Auction and twoonie toss. So now the kicker of all...we are handed a bill for $2700.00. This was now 100 x 21.95, 5%GST 109.75 and a tip at 18% of $395.00. We now had been double charged for the tip and tax, The event coordinator could not wait for us to count out the cash, and when we hadn't raised the $2700.00 Jamie had to pay the other $140.00. When we talked to the owner saying that this was a Benefit for a family and that we should not have been charged this amount, he agreed to donate $300.00 to the Benefit, however we still feel over charged... So not one of us will ever darken the doors of Rusty's Sports Lounge. By the way a Burger off the menu is $16.99, add 5% $1.10 and 18% tip $3.95 equals $22.05...the pub lost a whole $0.10 on each burger...gee $10.00
